Avoid Bomford and Coffey.
My tenancy with them was a catalogue of poor communication and unfulfilled tenancy expectations.
I rented an apartment advertised as having a veranda, but it had collapsed into the flat below. Despite assurances it would be repaired promptly, I waited over five months for a temporary, inadequate fix—without any prior notice of the work.
I never had access to the veranda throughout my tenancy, yet received no rent reduction or consistent updates. Their handling of this issue was unacceptable, as it was of further issues. I strongly recommend avoiding this agency if possible.

Friendly and helpful in all aspects of letting and sales. The ladies in the office are the best. Mr Bomford is the ultimate professional. They should be at the top of everyone's list of estate agents.

I rented off this agency for over a year and never missed a rent payment.
My first red flag was when I Failed an inspection because I had things in box's neatly around the flat. I hadn't any proper storage
I was still just on a mattress on the floor
A week later they tried to gain access without my knowledge, they justified this buy saying that had asked my grantor (my mother ) to relay the message
The employee that did all this no longer works there but the list continues
Coming to the end of the pandemic they decided to raise my rent Buy 10 % they did this without the proper paperwork which makes it invalid.
During this time I'd found information on the fact that they had overcharged me on the deposit. They tried to cover themselves by saying the rent increase will cover what I was originally overcharged. This is not legal for a number of reasons, they understood this and returned the overpayment
I left in the first quarter of the year and they wanted an extra £300 on top of my deposit. after months of it being reviewed in the Deposit protection scheme they found in my favour
I just want people to understand that this agency want to keep you deposit and try and price you out of the property

I do not live in the area and am 1 hours drive away, I was viewing houses in the same street, Fairways, as one they have on the market, as I was going to be there I asked if I could view, having an offer from a first time buyer on my own. They came back and said NO, but they could fit me in FIVE days later - Glad they are not my agent.. Shameful.

Was a tenant in a cottage for a landlady that I knew well. By all accounts (tenant and landlady) the service provided by Bomford and Coffey is appalling.
The staff (although one woman in particular called Sam) are rude and standoffish on the phone. They were totally inconsiderate of the fact that both myself and the landlady work, calling at odd hours and then arranging viewings for the property without even obtaining a key!
When I moved in the itinerary was a photocopy of the previous one and near as I can tell no attention was paid to it this time either. Poor show. Several false claims were to the landlady about the state of the property after inspection.
Appalling. Would not recommend to a tenant or a renter. No idea how they behave for purchasers.

Warm, grounded, professional, helpful and accomodating..
I popped in after seeing a property that caught my eye and found an open and warm reception which is rare in lettings.
Missing his lunch break one of the partners offered to walk me to the property there and then and was upfront and honest about the property understanding and accommodating about my needs.
A traditional and personable service fills me with confidence and trust that any property let by this group is going to be with a reputable landlord/lady and you will be looked after during and after the prodedures and tenancy.
