It is with great confidence that I can recommend Bonds to sell your property. Bonds offer a one off up front price to sell your property. This is the method I chose to use. Once my bungalow had sold, it took a paticularly long time to go through. (This was due to my buyers side of things).... Jayne was on the case all the time. Jayne truly works wonders. I believe it was her constant chasing the legal teams that eventually got my sale through to completion.. All staff are always polite, courteous and very helpful. Very poor service. Viewed the property and met my requirements. Enquired as what the process was to rent as I've been in my current place for ten years and wish to move out of London. Told to fill in application forms and they would be in touch. Completed forms sameday, but had to wait till Monday. Called for an update to be informed they was awaiting to hear back from landlord. So called back today (Friday)for an update to be informed they had rented out as someone had offered to pay more rent upfront. I didn't realise it was a bidding war and the property was open to offers. No one had informed me this was how they operate. If I had I could have paid three months rent upfront or more, but never given the option and that was what they was looking for. So a tenant who has paid rent on time,even during COVID, kept current property maintained. I have only called my current landlord to repair an electrical fault as I'm not an electrician. Bonds never checked as they never carried out checks. All they where interested in was money sitting in their account, sorry that does not make a good tenent. I read over the other reviews and have to agree with the negative one as I've been treated the same. No wonder Estate agents get a bad reputation when people like Bonds of Essex are in the business. They don't client expressing their dislike or unfair treatment and questions of unorthodox practice so hang up the phone, very unprofessional.... Read more

Used Bonds’ pay upfront package to sell my house and it really paid off. It took a while as the market had slowed right down - we did consider a change of agents but as agent A don’t have any different clients than agent B we hung it out and only had a fee of £795! Bond estates overall is a fantastic letting agency, however Jayne Inparticularly is fantastic. Jayne was kind, friendly and professional from the first viewing to completion of our application. She ensured everything was dealt with on time and communicated this to us on a consistent basis. Although we did run into a few issues along the way, this was of no fault of bonds (or Jayne) Jayne did her very best to work with us to help us secure this property as soon as possible. Having dealt with this company over the past three weeks at their office in Clacton-on-sea. It's very clear to me that the office staff at the location all need retraining apart from one employee who seems to be the only person who knows what they were doing. Employees referring to customers as "MATE" is totally unexceptable The number of calls informing me about properties other employees had already informed me about , But the worst was when a bonds employee called and left messages for me and speaking so fast informing me about the return number to call I had to re-listen a number of times to messages left to understand the number, because of their fast talking. I requested to speak to the manager and she never returned my calls. I won't be calling this company again.... Read more

I am well and truly disgusted with the customer service this company provides. I was warned by someone else not to bother. The woman in there supposedly the manager looked trashy and was unprofessional. Everyone else in there looked like they had no idea what they were doing and the I heard the blonde woman in there being really rude and arrogant to someone on the phone. After an initially lukewarm experience (for which Bonds aren't entirely at fault - I was not as communicative as I could possibly have been). Their service has improved vastly, and I now let two properties with them. I usually receive a response on the same working day, if not 1 - 2 working days. They usually have advice to assist with the letting, or how to better let a property also. My reasons for not letting more properties with Bonds have nothing to do with their level of service, but I live overseas and wish to diversify my portfolio to better protect against risk....
