We bought our home through Camden Bus seven years ago.
We were very impressed back then with the excellent levels of service and support.
When it came to selling, we tried with an online estate agent who takes payment upfront. It was a disaster they didn’t even achieve one viewing! After two months their only suggestion was to sell our flat at auction with no offer of a refund.
At that point we decided to go to Camden Bus. As my brother in law told me at the time, a professional estate agent.
The contrast was unbelievable. Gary's skill of marketing the property was evident almost immediately. Far from patronising us on how we are performing we could not believe the efforts Gary was going to in finding viewers. He knows the Camden market like nobody else and he is the right person to negotiate a purchase/sale for you.
We were assured that we would only pay if we sell and that we can find another estate agent if he doesn’t perform.
We felt in safe hands with Camden Bus. They worked really hard for us in finding people to view our property. Once he found a buyer, Gary was always a good person to go to gauge how the transaction was progressing, helping keep both sides on track.
Apart from that we had a good rapport with Gary as he is always so helpful. Gary is very knowledgeable and understands the property market with great connections. This skill and expertise has helped us in both our purchase first time round and again on our sale recently.
In short, skill, expertise, finesse and local knowledge serving those who would like to sell/buy through the finest estate agent in the greatest of London boroughs!

While I’m aware Camden Bus has a strong reputation as an agent, this review is about the fact I rang for property value advice to appeal council tax banding. The kind man who answered gave 30 minutes of his time to talk through various properties not expecting anything, just offering expertise and advice. It was much more than I expected - many thanks.

I was impressed with Gary Lazarus’s experience, local knowledge and ability to enthuse about my flat, and was delighted that my flat sold for significantly above asking price. At one stage I felt under some pressure from Gary to accept an early offer at full asking price, but I am glad that I decided to wait for a few more viewings, given the eventual outcome. Apart from that short period of tension, communication with Gary was easy, and he was also extremely helpful and generous in advising on any small issues that arose. I particularly liked the way that he handled all viewings himself; this is quite different from other larger firms where viewings are handled by multiple agents, some of them often quite inexperienced. I would certainly recommend Gary.

I am absolutely over the moon with the sale of my house in Camden - and much of it is down to the help of Gary at Camden Bus Company.
Gary had sold the house to me 23 years ago- and I had an incredibly good experience back then with Camden Bus, as a buyer.
Throughout the years of owing the house, Gary has been very helpful and patient with my various valuation requests and always gave a professional, authentic and friendly approach together with a deep knowledge of the local (and generic) housing market.
Roll on to the present, I used Camden Bus to help me sell the same house this month and I cannot fault the experience. It was my first sale and was made smooth, stress free with the house selling at the asking price. It was on the market for a few days before a few offers came in, and the sale was completed within 9 weeks, going to the exact buyers Gary had targetted and that I had wanted the house to go to.
It just goes to show that a small local business like Camden Bus, knowing its local market inside out, together with the many years of experience in real estate definitely pay off for both buyer and seller. Five out of Five stars is not enough.

After first trying the 'no-estate' agent route without success, we realised that we needed help and chose Camden Bus because of their obvious and long term local knowledge and experience.
Gary and Charles took the entire burden away from us but kept us completely involved with every step and provided a fantastic service.
We were able to achieve a quick sale and Gary and Charles gave ongoing advice and guidance through the contracts phase.

We appointed Camden Bus after we had been on the market with a rival high street agent for three months without any success. Within two days Gary had achieved us a full asking price offer. We couldn't recommend Gary and Charles enough. They are professional, friendly and know how to 'sell' a property. Rather than just "showing" the flat they actively sold it to prospective buyers which is often lost these days. Their local knowledge is exceptional. It was so refreshing to get a simple less than 1 page contract document with no small print or waffle, just plain text explaining the contract in simple terms and at a competitive rate!
Camden bus provided personal service and no matter what the hour or day, there was someone to speak to and answer questions. Charles was supportive and offered very good advice and worked with the rest of the team really well, ensuring that we made it to the finish line! They went the extra mile in so many instances, including to go to the Camden planning offices.I would recommend CAMDEN BUS highly.

First of all, thank you so much for helping us during what turned out to be a grueling, long drawn-out transaction for the property we purchased on Greenland Road. Without a doubt, Camden Bus represents everything one would hope for in an estate agent but rarely comes across or hears of. We received exceptional personal attention and I have since done everything I can to continue recommending Camden Bus to friends and associates. Having Charles offer to pick up part of the cost of required works to be done before the sale took place was a commendable gesture, but offering to put up our family and 2 year old at his own flat due to delays with the vendor was a major step above the rest.
On a final note, thank you again Charles for the eggs from your “farm”… we thoroughly enjoyed the omelet!

I sold a property with Camden Bus. Superb service by the owners. They were properly attentive and they got the valuation right. It sold within a week to a cash buyer. What's more, we had to arrange a new door to meet some regulations before completion. They organised the whole shebang in astoundingly quick time. You won't get that from the chains. If you're thinking of selling a property in the area, I strongly recommend using them.

Charles and Gary really do stand apart from other estate agents. We lived quite close to the bus for several years and knew them as friendly neighbours even before we put our flat on the market with them. It was definitely an excellent decision as they were remarkably easy to deal with throughout the process and also put us in touch with a superb solicitor. Thanks again guys!
Many estate agents tout for business by boasting that they can achieve high asking prices but instead of promising the earth Camden Bus concentrate on delivering achievable sales prices - sales prices that still beat those of brash competitors - and a friendly, efficient service. (Our sale price was higher than the Zoopla estimate.) Their justified confidence in their service is reflected in their contract for sellers - it's only a few lines long and does not tie you to them for months.
As local residents they know the area extremely well themselves so if you're looking to move to the area Camden Bus is a very good place to start. You can be guaranteed that they will do their absolute best for you - after all, they're the first new neighbours you will meet.

I recently sold my studio flat through Camden Bus estate agents - they've been fantastic throughout the whole process and I couldn't be happier. They have not pestered me with calls or tried the hard sell on me at all and as a consequence the sale was a speedy 10-day-turnaround with both parties being kept in the loop at all times.
Gary and Charles are experts in the local area too, so they're definitely worth a call if you're looking to sell (or buy) and their fees are very reasonable.
A very reliable fish in a pond full of sharks! Thank you for all of your hard work.
