Even though Sadaf and her manager, Jamal (from Foxtons Camden), did a good job in helping us find a flat, Foxtons should be more cautious in selecting landlords and their agents and in helping active tenants. We have been having a lot of problems with Citidwell and the landlord Samut Limited. I really don’t recommend a tenancy with those companies. I believe Foxtons is able to find better landlords and agents as commercial partners.

Do not move in to properties from Foxtons. I have been living in a mould infested flat for a year— which sent me to the hospital and an independent mould company confirmed the flat was unsafe to live in because it wasn’t properly damp proofed — and they did nothing. When I decided to move out because of the mould, they immediately started viewings of the flat and are now moving someone in when the landlord has no plans to carry out the 2 months of repairs necessary to make it not a health hazard. Beyond that, though, Foxtons has contacted me to schedule viewings of my flat several times when I explicitly told them not to, and when trying to find a flat with them, they offered ones that did not meet any of my criteria and were not on the market. Overall, I strongly recommend not using Foxtons.

Jamal Hussain took over the rental of my flat after another estate agent failed to secure a rental after two months. Jamal rented my flat in just one week. He was proactive and efficient. His friendly and calm manner provided reassurance for the process.
However, he seemed to do the job without assistance. A more supported process would have ensured paperwork accompany the agreed terms more closely.
I am most grateful for Jamal’s help in renting my flat.

3 separate viewings arranged and 3 phone calls at the time of viewing once I’d already travelled there to say “oh we can’t get access” “oh it was sold last week” “oh I can’t show it to you today”. Once is a mistake, three times is a choice to not bother contacting me.
Camden Foxtons is a mess and could not care less about my time. I’d give 0 stars.

I was really disappointed by my experience with Foxtons. My agent made inappropriate comments towards me -- which I imagine he wouldn't have if I was an older woman or a man of any age, consistently showed me properties outside my budget constraints and my location constraints, effectively wasting 4 hours of time during a workday to no effective end. All style and zero substance honestly I'd rather you skipped the fancy car and did a better job of listening.

Bank holiday Easter Monday time 22:15 01/04/2024 I was coming down on my Motorcycle from Albany street down to parkway , while riding at the cross junction passing Regent’s Park Road suddenly a foxton estate agent NW1 Mini Cooper zoomed across me taking right turn to R PK RD without indicating nearly hitting my front wheel by 7 inches I beebed but the driver speed off very fast like a lunatic without any dual care I had to catch up with him but he told me not to tell his boss and was shaken . Please kindly have a word with your drivers not to drive dangerously on the road . He was Asian look a like with beard and age was around 25/27 VRN LP72YTX Green colour .

Josiah and Jamal helped me and my wife find a flat that fit our price range and in the right area, and once we started the process of putting an offer down, they couldn’t have been more helpful and attentive. They both talked us through each stage of references and I didn’t feel like we were getting the “hard sell” that can be common with some estate agents. Overall, a positive, polite and professional service and would definitely recommend.

Some room for improvement on the back-end, with potential for the various teams to coordinate better amongst themselves (we had some confusion around booking of a couple of services). But this was not a show-stopper and overall I'd recommend their service.

Very bad customer experience with Simone Greggio this morning. They weren’t honest and transparent about the conditions. I literally found out he was lying about the flat and when I realised that he immediately became very offensive and argumentative. Just he started to make difficulties like I had to pay the first months rent and five weeks deposit in “THREE HOURS” TO START REFERENCE CHECKING for a flat I supposed to move in after one month.
Now I’m not taking the flat that I was ready to make a 2 year contract because of these unacceptable and unprofessional behaviours of him.

I was looking for a new place to move in and I saw some good properties on the Foxtons Camden website. Ruman Mir was extremely helpful throughout the process and he showed me a lot of properties that sparked my interest. Unfortunately I had to leave the UK for some time so I had to put that thought on hold, however once I come back, I will definitely approach Ruman and Foxtons Camden again regarding finding quality properties. Sure, Foxtons might have expensive properties but they promise quality as well which is delivered and the professionalism by Ruman despite me not securing a room at the moment and him completely understanding presents it.

I would highly recommend Foxtons Camden and specifically - Jamal Hussain. We had to find a tenant for our flat on a tight deadline as our previous one had to move out unexpectedly. Jamal delivered exceptional results. The first viewings happened within an hour of receiving the keys to the flat and the first offer came in the same day! Even though we were being rather picky our agent Georgie quickly got a hand for what we were after and sent over potential properties to us every day whilst we were searching. One such property we loved but we’re sadly unable to view due to being on holiday. Georgie went out of her way to provide videos of the property and answer endless questions before we decided to make an offer. Her patience whilst trying to sort deposits etc from abroad made a very stressful situation much easier, and without her constant help I don’t think we would’ve made the jump without viewing the property. We have since moved into the flat and love everything about it! Can’t thank Georgie enough!

Generally speaking, the agents are able to find properties to suit particular needs provided you are not looking a shared accommodation with separate tenancies. The benefits do not outweigh the drawbacks. Some of the agents (including Jamal, who is spoken of so highly in these reviews) exploit students and prey upon their lack of knowledge regarding the rental market and subsequent tenancy. Jamal hides behind a “no nonsense approach” in order to further his own commission and has shown to lack accountability when clerical errors in tenancy agreements are made. Failed to inform us of additional charges, been waiting at least 2.5 weeks to receive deposit back, despite having chased up on multiple occasions. Foxtons are probably the most pompous, money hungry agency I’ve ever dealt with.

Excellent service by Jamal at the Camden Branch has brought me circa 15% incremental rent. No landlord can ask for more in this current climate. The arrangement fees of Foxtons is higher than the fee offered by other agents in the area, but the higher rent that Jamal achieved has paid for the fees and still let a bit more. Thank you Jamal.

Hamed was wonderful with our sale. He was great at communicating every step of the way, and when we ran into some problems with new mortgage regulations he was extremely helpful and proactive in finding a solution. These new mortgage regulations meant we needed some extra information that were not provided by our leaseholder but Hamed put together a pack of information that the lenders were happy to accept in the end. He was also extremely knowledgeable when a large amount of funds was held up on an international transfer and was on call throughout the weekend to update on this. It was not a straightforward sale and we got there in the end with his help. Thank you Hamed!!!

We got in touch with Jamal when we enquired about a property. Throughout the entire process from initial enquiry to signed contracts he showed a great deal of clarity and transparency. He was always very responsive and thoughtful, and I am sure that we would not have signed this contract had it not been for Jamal's perseverance.
While the process of signing a contract and providing documentation is a big task, it was made infinitely easier and comfortable through Jamal's clear guidance and expertise. He sat with us on the phone for about 40 minutes while we sorted everything out.

Hot water tap leaking in tavistock court since last year and never repaired, only inspected once. Asked for updates by email manytimes but no help. It has deteriorated and now it's almost an unstoppable running tap. Yesterday it caused shut down to hot water supply and I have no hot water in the whole flat. 24hrs have passed and they still dont know when it will be fixed. It's written in law that tenants should be provided hot water and the repair. It's unbeliveable.

Very awful experience. The agent was late for over 20 mins and extremely unprofessional. After went back to the office, we were asked to wait there for almost 2 hrs… and they didn’t even ask us if we need water or something until we need to leave. They always pushed us to offer higher price, it just made us feel very terrible and annoying. And nobody cared about us while we sitting there waiting for them “ contacting the landlord”. We were too hungry to keep waiting cause it was NOON, we’ve waited from around 12:30 to 2:30. In the end, they said they couldn’t get contact with the landlord and told us that we could have our lunch first and they would contact us if they got any information from the landlord.

I got in contact with Jamal because of a property I was interested in viewing with Foxtons. I'd only recently arrived to London from overseas, and so was fairly new to neighbours of the city and the general renting market.
Jamal was kind enough to not only show me the places I was interested in, but also a number of other apartments in the areas I was looking. He took particular care to understand my requirements and curate a small set of potential options that would suit my needs. We spent a couple days driving around different parts of London, in total viewing 10-12 flats over various price ranges.
By the time I found a great match, Jamal had generously given me 12+ hours of his own time, completely without obligation. Ultimately, I ended up going with a place I found independently, but to the very end Jamal was both willing and committed to helping me find the right place. I think this speaks volumes of his professionalism and sincerity as a person.
I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to Jamal (and thereby Foxtons) again in case I ever need to look for a new apartment. Regardless of outcome, Jamal's service and support was stellar throughout the entire process and I want to thank him for his extensive time and effort.

Probably the smoothest rent agreement I've had in London. Jamal knew a lot about the property and responded quickly whenever I had questions or needed anything. Good experience until some 6 weeks ago, when construction works started right in front of the window in the backyard of our flat and nobody ever told us anything.
The agent we spoke with never mentioned anything and apparently the back yard is not even the building's property.
Instead, it was sold as a common area to be used by us and the other flats.
So now we live in the middle of a construction site!!

Fortnum & mason, gin & tonic, bangers & mash. At Foxtons Camden we got Oliver and Visar, and what a stroke of luck that was. Their combined availability and expertise ensured all calls were answered and all requests met. With major effort on all sides, we managed to get rapid completion (even with Camden Council's efficiency challenges) in six weeks. The Foxtons guys were particularly strong in having a good overview of the local market along with detail on some of the dynamics and issues.
I appreciated two things in particular. The first is they have access to a host of wraparound services: mortgage brokers, insurance advisers, lawyers and so on. This moved things along and was helpful in not having to sift through websites and professional pitches. The second is they coached the sale and kept it on track. Communication was excellent, professionalism was high, and the determination to get this over the line was evident. You need this when buying a property. It truly is one of the most stressful life events but the solidarity from the Foxtons team, always grounded in reality and pragmatism, was very welcome.
I recommend them wholeheartedly. There's hardly any of that slightly fast and shiny image estate agents are renowned for, and they've got the highest concentration of Hermes ties in NW1. If you're buying or selling then it's good to have Foxtons Camden on your team.

I would like to recommend Narada Bernard from Foxton's for properties in the Angel/Islington area. Narada is extremely professional, was always punctual, pro-active in sending listings and in following up after viewings. I am sorry that we did not end up getting a property through him as i would have liked to reward his efforts.

Jamal has helped us tremendously and we ended up signing a tenancy agreement after 3 days... Jamal is an example for his colleagues.
However I am very disappointed because foxtons lied to me about the quality they wish to represent. My new flat was full of stuff of the previous tenant( including old correspondence, dead plants, dust and dirt, general mess) when they promised it will be prepared for my move in. They were meant to make sure that the apartment is clean and that I can live in it. Instead I was given an apartment with old dirt and no one bothered to check it.

No idea how anyone is reviewing Foxtons so highly but couldn’t be further from my experience with them. Not by choice I’ve had to deal with Foxtons Camden branch for the past 3 years and they have been consistently poor. Vital contract renewal information was never sent out, they don’t even attempt to stick to appointment times and they let themselves into a property without my permission causing great embarrassment to me and their customer.
Everyone I know who’s dealt with Foxtons has similar stories to this and I’ve never heard a good thing said about them. Protect yourselves and stay away.

We have had the worst possible experience here. We were warned against working with Foxtons but were new to London and didn't think it could be that bad.
Once they had our deposit we pretty much didn't hear from them anymore to the extent that when the landlord went back on several clauses in our contract Foxtons tried to wash their hands of it by claiming that it was a misunderstanding! A signed contract for which they charge a hefty £420, and they will not take the trouble to enforce it. They will lie (I am looking at you Narada) and make any promise just to get you to hand over your deposit.
Of course we left that place double quick. It has now been 3 weeks and there is no sign of our deposit coming back to us yet. The inventory check is complete and it found no problems at all, new tenants have moved in as well. But no one from Foxtons is available to let us know what is going on and when we will get our deposit back!

Foxtons was of very little assistance during our tenancy. No reply to emails and very little to no support on the phone.
Especially letting agents turning up with new tenants every day for several weeks before the end of the tenancy, often without or very short (30 minute) notice was horrible. One day we had 4 viewings, 2 scheduled and two turned up as they liked.
I will never rent with Foxtons again. This was the worst flat and experience I had in many years.

Sam Burke managed to get an offer on my flat from the first viewers to see it, within a week of it going on sale. He negotiated the offer upwards to a level he knew I would accept, which was only 5% below the asking price. Then came the Brexit referendum, when the buyers became nervous and were considering pulling out. With Joseph Blackett, together they pushed my sale through and renegotiated the price at just 1% lower, to secure the deal. Due to solicitor delays the deal took a long time to complete, but all the way it was handled skillfully and professionally by Sam and Joe. Most importantly, they were responsive at all times via their mobiles, something that many other agents are not.
I believe Sam managed to win the buyers' confidence through his genuine, detailed understanding of the area (which is not Camden) the community and what it is like to live there. He persuaded the buyers (from Camden) that they could see themselves living there, enjoying the whole lifestyle not just the property. This is excellent salesmanship. I have worked with Foxtons many times over the years and I am fastidious about the handling of a sale. I can honestly say that these guys offer something over and above the ordinary, and I would strongly recommend them to others.

Claire O'Donnell, Lettings Manager, is very good indeed. Foxtons found more prospective tenants for our house than any other agent. Claire successfully guided both we and our prospective tenants through sometimes challenging negotiations to a successful conclusion. In her efforts to convey the requirements of the tenants, she never lost sight of the fact that we were her clients. At the 11th hour she received unexpectedly a very attractive alternative offer to let the house to another tenant. It would have been much easier (and more profitable) to steer them to another property. Instead she made us aware and gave us the option to take the alternative. In the end we didn't, but the transparency and readiness to go the extra mile for her client was impressive.

Foxtons overrated the price of my house and got that way the job of selling my house beating other estate agents who had a more realistic estimate of the price of my house. In the end it got me just the sum the others had suggested and no more. So I wasted a bit of my time, and their commission was a bit higher too.
But at least I could not think later, that I could have probably got more money for my house. And they did work hard to sell it. There was somebody looking at it every day. I would particularly praise Michael Hall with whom it was a pleasure to work, a really tactful gentleman
always coming when he said he was coming, which is rare in Britain.
He warned you in time about his and the client's coming, a really reliable and very nice young man.
I had less to do with the others but they were perfectly o.k. too. I have nothing but good to say about the staff of Foxtons and the stressful experience of selling your house was made as agreeable as possible.

I sold my previous property through foxtons tooting and they were also brilliant. foxtons also had everything on their database so both branches knew exactly what was going on.

We rented a short let for 3 months.
The renting process was smooth and the paperwork and payment is handled through the website. Since it was a short let the rent for the whole period plus 4 weeks of deposit has to be made before we could move in.
When we got to the apartment it was like moving in to someones home There were no empty closets and the owners stuff were everywhere. Good thing we brought our own towels and linens since we couldn't find anything clean (or it might have been clean but thrown into the closet with dirty cloths and whatnot). The pillows were discoloured and stinking so we had to purchase our own. Also we couldn't get the grease and make up off the towels so we need to buy or own of those too.
In the kitchen dirty kitchenware were mixed with somewhat clean in the cupboards and old food was left in the freezer and on the counters. Also mixed in were tools, spare parts for plumbing, spackling paste etc.
It took us a weekend to clean the apartment and get things organised.
We thought it must have been some kind of mistake and that Foxton by no way could have inspected the property before we moved in, but our agent confirmed that she herself had inspected the flat before we moved in and that everything was in order.
So now we know what Foxton mean by "Bring your suitcase and we'll provide the rest."

Just outstanding. This is the second review I write, and I'm glad cause foxtons just did brilliantly. They advertised very well, showed my flat to more buyers than all the other agents combined and found the perfect buyer. Once I accepted the offer, they were on the ball every step of the way despite me being neurotic and in a rush. The agent went way out of her way to make it happen - and quickly.
