When my mother decided to sell her property we asked a few agents to visit and value. The house was a Victorian terrace which required modernising throughout. From the outset Chancellors outshone the other competitors. Patrick Tustian came to the initial visit and his preparatory work on the property and location was excellent. Despite the sale falling through a few times both Patrick and his colleague Tom Peachey were so professional, helpful and reliable. They worked extremely efficiently. I would have no hesitation in fully recommending them and of course would definitely use them again. Thank you Patrick and Tom.

Don't bother trying to call them, it will ring for what seems like an eternity and then you will be transferred to an automated message which tells you to go to their website before hanging up. If you try emailing them instead, expect to wait over a week before you get an answer from them. Appalling service.

There was a tricky chain involved and Jonathan and Wasim were wonderful at keeping the sale and purchase on track in the face of a tight timeline and changing information and demands that were daily at one point. Having talked to a number of colleagues about this office I am in doubt that I lot of these positive reviews are real unless they are for the part of the office that shows properties. Those that showed us around were very efficient and wonderful to work with but once we moved in we determined that the management staff lack Communication skills and empathy. They only get two stars because as awful as they are to deal with I have actually experienced worse only one other time. The structure for this company seems to be to hire a lot of people who have the responsibility to do only one thing each, no one ever seems to feel the need to communicates with each other, and they each do their jobs very poorly. I have been both a tenet and a landlord and I would not hire these uncoordinated people to do either job. It is shocking how unprofessional they repeatedly are. At one point I was attempting to take over the entirety of a shared tenancy and discovered their contracts department is separate from their "swaps" department and both are separate from the payments department. Because we had communicated with both of the first two departments the payments department became confused and attempted to charge both myself and my previous roommate with multiple charges of different values for the same services. The property manager can't help with any of this as apparently it is not their job to coordinate anything within the company regarding the property. In fact, I have never met any of the property managers nor have any of them ever been to my flat as they outsource every physical aspect of the management of the properties. This is especially difficult if you are in a flat with a block management as the afterhours company cannot access the block management information. This is especially disconcerting when there was a leak in the roof coming through electrical over a three-day holiday weekend and was told there was absolutely nothing that could be done until the property manager came back to the office on Tuesday morning. When I asked for the block management information I was asked why would I need that. This is during the conversation where they advised me it was safe to turn on a light that had active water dripping through it from the roof. Also, during this episode, the landlady and I caught them outright lying to use both about when and how they were contacting each of us and the block management company. She was astonished to realise that it wasn't until I contacted her directly that they were simply not done anything to rectify the situation. I could go on with more but these two stories truly represent how awful they have been.

They specialize in making you feel insignificant and uninteresting, they also quite amazing in the art of "We don't care" and the "why are you bothering me?"

Nothing will boost your confidence as a business looking for space more than a 20-40 second phone conversation with them, they so efficient in "showing you the door" that it will take you some time to recover from the "experience"

Highly recommended to all masochistic out there :)
