Tennants beware! We've waited over 4 weeks for an update on our deposit since vacating one of their properties. This was delayed because our landlords had conveniently gone on holiday.

Chancellors have since responded and are currently trying to take £800+ in "maintenance costs". They didn't even send a breakdown or an itemised bill of these costs. It's another thing we've had to chase.

They want a brand new toilet! A new bath panel! The house wasn't even that great of shape when we first moved in. There has been no deliberate damage caused to this property and after two years they should allow wear and tear. The things listed are very minor but are charging a small fortune.

As tenants we don't feel as though we have any support from Chancellor's. We'll probably have to go through TDS of any chance of seeing our money back which will only drag out longer.

This is a time where we need this money more than ever. We looked after this home as if it were our own and left it in the best possible condition we could. It was not perfect to start with and these charges are completely unreasonable. Please avoid.

I can definitely recommend the Chancellors in Kidlington if you are looking to rent in the area. They were very friendly, extremely helpful, and provided constant updates. We received far better service here than any other agent we tried, and can especially recommend them if you're having trouble finding a pet-friendly property, as they definitely go the extra mile to help you out. Special thanks to Kayleigh and Jack for looking after us.

Stay away. Very poor communication and service levels with many changing people involved during the tenancy process, none of whom take any kind of responsibility or properly communicate with each other. We have used them on and off for a number of years and seen a steep decline in service levels over this period. In the interests of transparency, we are currently involved in a dispute with them over their lack of due diligence and care.

Wanted to update since my last review, i had as stated before emailed Chancellors Kidlington letting them know it was important and essential for them to let me know the landlords decision before 16th March, they left it too late but still took the first weeks rent. I went to citizens advice and they told me that chancellor's had no right to take the first months rent given that the contract didnt go through. They refuse to return this money , i would avoid them at all costs . I would highly recommend Alistair Redhouse instead for Quality Customer Service and professionalism.

I couldn’t praise chancellors more. Chelsea has been wonderful and even though we did not find a property to rent, she was very helpful.

Chancellors were very efficient and organised, with everything set up to make the selling process run as smoothly as possible. These are strange times with the Covid restrictions, but they had it all in hand.

The worst company. The worst staff. Fooled us for getting house. I saw the house and I was told all repairs and paint will be done. Landlord is flexible for moving his furniture. Garden also not done.We moved in and nothing was done.
The worst worst experience for us. It's like we are cheated . Agents were not at all cooperative. The house is overly full of furniture. So much work to be done.
Never recommend this company .
They dont even deserve one star.

We have had mixed experiences with estate agents over the years. Demi at Maidenhead’s chancellors has been a breath of fresh air. We have dealt with Demi all the way through the process from valuation to sell.

Demi has always gone the extra mile. Problems early on where taken on personally and has always made herself available including a day off at a crucial time of the process.

We highly recommend Demi and the Maidenhead branch.
