Lack of communication, do not do what they say they will do. Directors are good and want to resolve issues but seriously gets let down when it gets to the Carterton branch.

Me & my partner recently purchased our first house with Chancellors and it wasn't the greatest of experiences however it did end well.

First of all we had viewing with Simon who we both thought was very unprofessional, rude & had absolutely no idea on any questions that we asked on the first few viewings on the property and whenever we asked him to find out this information, we would never hear anything back meaning we would then have to chase, and chase for answers and would argue with us when we then got through to him.

One day we rang to do just that, to find that Simon had moved to another store, we no longer had a main contact at Chancellors and we had no idea who to speak to, when we did finally find out who to contact, they then left in a matter of weeks, we AGAIN didn't know who to contact, we rang up numerous times asking who we need to speak to, at this point Ben took over our purchase, and he was very helpful and answered our queries and helped us in every way we could and he took us all the way up to completion along with the assistance from head office, this ended our experience with Chancellors on a better note, i just wish we had dealt with Ben throughout the whole purchase.

For us, Ben has single handedly saved this from being a one star! Ben, Thank you.

3 years ago, I dealt with Simon Capel at Chancellors Carterton when purchasing a new flat. I recently decided to sell the property again, and went straight back to Simon without any hesitation. On both occasions he has been very professional and efficient, but friendly and easy-going as well, which I regard as an ideal combination. Overall I have been very satisfied with the service provided by Chancellors Carterton office, and would recommend them highly.

My husband and I have recently dealt with Liza-Jo Boyce from Chancellors in Carterton. We are in the process of buying a house. Liza was happy to let us have multiple viewings it was never any trouble - and she was very interested and helpful with suggestions and excited for us , I can confidently recommend her she was extremely polite, professional all through our deals with our new house. We also dealt with Ben from Chancellors Carterton who was very positive and he took time to visit us at home and explain the current state of the market - which was very helpful . Chancellors helped me with renting a current flat where I live and buying a house that I am due to move in soon.
I still remember the first day when I walked into the Chancellors Headington office a year ago. Being a stranger to the town, looking for a place to rent for a wife and 3 years old son, not familiar with the area, I had no idea where to start and walking into the Chancellors was one of the best decisions I have ever made. A Lovely lady called Olivia welcomed me and took my details and requirements, then found me a perfect matching flat on the same day.
And a year later, when I decided to buy a first home, of course I contacted the Chancellors
as I had no issues what so ever with this flat. A very professional gentleman Alex Bradley helped me above and beyond to find a dream home. Alex has a full of local knowledge such as catchment area for good schools which was a very important matter for us as Joseph was going to school soon. I was very happy with Alex's viewing arrangements as response was really quick and it was very efficient. For instance we did 6 viewings in 90 mins as Alex scheduled it so well. Every single houses Alex showed me was pretty much in line with my requirements so it was very difficult to choose one. His attention to details is excellent. Something I mentioned during the conversation which I don't even remember was already dealt with it. I strongly recommend anybody who is looking for a property to buy in this area should go to the Chancellors Headington Office and ask for Alex Bradley to be your agent if possible.

Chancellors headington branch have been very helpful in my search for a rental property in Headington, Oxford. Lettings negotiator Oliver Boyle, in particular, was attentive to my specific needs for a parking slot and close proximity to the hospitals and ring road. He also went out of his way to ensure that Covid-19 related disruption was minimised.

I am disappointed with the agency since I have booked a house 3 times to be able to visit it personally and nobody from the agency showed up to teach me I have had to ask for the day off at work 3 times to be able to attend the appointment. and have wasted my time and day. And I also do not understand why I should rent a whole house when I am interested in renting the room of that house. I have also called many occasions to find out why there is nobody from the agency present to show me the house. And they always tell me we will send you a confirmation email with the appointment and the appointment time and they will contact me, but I have not received any calls to confirm the appointment I have only received a confirmation email but no calls from them. Only when I called myself did they make excuses for me and ask for the data. It is not a serious agency and those who work in that agency give me that they do not care at all about clients.

I am not used to giving this kind of review or writing at all because I believe that we can all make mistakes. But I think there are mistakes that cannot be made 3 times.

A month and a few days ago exactly I started to fill out the documentation to acquire a house with Chancellors. They called me very early every day and they were always very aware of what I needed. It took me a week to fill out the form and send all the documentation. The landlord approved us and only our references were missing.

They sent us the contract for 25th June and we are supposed to have the house that day. They called me and told me that at 11:30 am on 25th we would meet at the house to hand over the keys. On Tuesday 23rd June they emailed me to tell me that unfortunately they have to delay the day of moving because we did not have the complete references.

We accept that and delay the day to 1st July. On July 1st we were told that it was impossible to move in because the Landlord had withdraw the application due to our references and 3 days later an email arrived saying that our references are correct. On July 2nd the girl from the agency called me and told me that she has another house that we do not need anything else. That we do not have to worried at all and that she was going to take care of everything and we could move on 9th July.

As we were supposed to move on 25th June. We paid rent and deposit on 22nd June and from that day everything was delayed. We thought because they were just putting everything in order but each time we were delaying and delaying more and more.

We are on July 7 and the only thing I have done is try to call them and speak to the person in charge but they tell me that at the moment they cannot speak with me. Another very relevant point is that Lucinda Sturla the girl from the agency no longer works there since July 4 and now the manager was Olivia. I am trying to communicate with Olivia from that same day, July 4 and it is IMPOSSIBLE.

I spoke to the manager, Jhon and he says he can't do anything because he doesn't have the letting department. What type of company does this to its clients who HAVE ALREADY PAID AN INCOME AND A DEPOSIT OF MORE THAN 2,600.00 POUNDS?

The MASSIVE PROBLEM is that at the moment I am on the street because I am supposed to sign a contract for June 25 and then for July 1 and THERE IS NO ANSWER.

I left my house from the 25th because the contract ended. This agency takes money from you and does not care about you. This is unheard of and disrespectful to us.

Now I am trying to get my money back for two days and I don't get a response.

Finally I decided to take legal action and go to lawyers because it seems disrespectful that they make fun of me
