Contacted by Rebecca after I had told Chancellors 4 times in the past not to ever contact me again. These people are like a dog with a bone. As soon as they got my details they will *not* stop emailing and phoning me about letting my property through them. Their internal systems are a disaster.

Plenty of good estate agents out there. Would avoid Chancellors at all costs.

I want to express my thanks to Katherine Yates, Lettings Manager for engaging with me from my initial inquiry with regards to letting my property to finding an appropriate tenant. I was cautious as it was a brand new property and my first time let. I cannot fault the Witney team with the sale of my property.
They provided an excellent service from start to finish, in particular I feel I must mention Josh, Kirsty and Paul for all their hard work in achieving the sale. Communication was always regular and I was updated with all feedback from any viewings and kept in touch with the progress on the sale when they had found a buyer. I would highly recommend the Witney team to anyone as they made what could have been a very stressful experience a lot smoother with their professionalism.

My landlord instructed them to market my flat. I explained really politely that we have a newborn baby at home, and due to the COVID outbreak, we will not be letting anyone in.

Jack then replies saying they will insist on access, and use the key while I am out if necessary. Due to the fact that the law says that my parents are not allowed to come and visit their first grand child, on WHAT PLANET is it acceptable to try and insist on complete strangers going into the flat?!?!?

I re iterated that no one will come round, and to Jack's credit he did drop the issue... however he then sent a followup email asking me to arrange a personal clean, or they will make a deduction from my deposit to pay for it. First of all, I didn't rent through Chancellors, so why they think they have any say over my deposit is beyond me. Secondly, a clean was not paid for when we moved in. It would have taken Jack all of about 3 seconds to check this.

So quick to threaten me TWICE when I was nothing but calm and polite in my initial email saying I dont want to put my newborn at risk during a global pandemic. The sheer disregard for fellow human beings is astonishing frankly. "all in this together" indeed.....

Chancellor’s were alright . Their communication wasn’t that great at times . I had a person turn up at my doorstep for a viewing without me knowing about it.

Absolute disgrace! I am a landlord paying for fully managed service from chancellors, and they can't organise a repair without me having to do it all myself!

Please avoid this company at all costs!
Our property is four bed, full modernized and upto date has a drive way and garage with a large landscaped garden but after 25 viewings we had no offeres. I should also state we have a young child who seen last October had 9 admissions into hospital so most occasions we had to run home to ensure the house was tidy for these viewings.

Other estate agents were contacting us saying they have sold very similar properties in our area in a matter of days.
They seem to just get anyone through the door to view your house but it doesn't mean they are getting Interested parties .
On top of this they wouldn't release us from the contract even though it clearly wasnt working out.

They are not professional, the feedback is a joke ! Mainly an email stating that the person could find something bigger cheaper in your area ( trying to get you to drive your house price down)

I found myself having to contact them for information, any viewings, times and dates etc

Not only did the manager change at the Reading branch and we weren't Informed but he continued to send us reports?
Then this company put everyone on Furlough leave and knowing prior to this that our contract was ending didn't contact me and now still have my key to my property.
All I got was if it's not an emergency they cant give me my key back and the contact they do have on duty should actually be Furlonged as they themselves are vounable. ( I have a child who in January was in PICU in John Radcliffe hospital so I understand vounable)

Excuses, lies, and a waste of time!.

So they still have my key for as long as this current situation lasts even through our contract with them has ended.

The contact they do have answering emails shouldn't leave the house but was trying to tell me they could die if they did and would need to ask the police to leave, which is misinformed information on there part.

I simply cannot be bothered to argue with them any longer but will be seeking advice from my solicitor as I have been treated very poorly throughout the time we have been on the market with them.

Go anywhere but here ! Especially if you want to sell your property!
