I had a mixed experience with Clive Watkin Crosby during my tenancy, and I feel compelled to share my honest review. My journey with them started off on a positive note, but it gradually became less satisfying.
When I initially rented a flat, Abbey, the former lettings negotiator, was truly exceptional in processing paperwork and getting me settled into the flat swiftly. However, I soon discovered that the flat, which I was told was suitable for families, was not the safest environment for my child. There were no other families in the building, and I became a victim of antisocial behaviour. I admit that I hesitated to report it initially, but when I did report it the second time, not much seemed to be done not even an email reply to my reported issue!
As my tenancy was coming to an end, I was bombarded with calls from Farrah and Joe to schedule viewings. I found this to be quite early, and there was no flexibility in their approach. Farrah even insinuated that if I plan to leave earlier, I should inform them due to high interest in the flat. This request felt inappropriate, especially given the ongoing issues with antisocial behaviour.
Furthermore, when I tried to contact Abbey regarding several issues, I was surprised to find out that she had left Clive Watkin Crosby. This information had not been communicated to me, and I had been relying on her for assistance. I eventually put Joe as my reference, but he failed to respond to the new letting team, causing unnecessary stress and delays.
To make matters worse, when I called the office to inquire about my deposit and who to contact, Joe assured me that he would provide the necessary information when I vacate the flat. Unfortunately, this never happened, forcing me to figure out the process on my own through my bank statements and old emails.
Overall, my experience with Clive Watkin Crosby was disappointing. While Abbey's initial support was commendable, the lack of responsiveness, ongoing issues with the flat, and unprofessional behaviour from some staff members left me frustrated and dissatisfied. I hope they can improve their communication and tenant support in the future and not take annual/sick leave all at once so there is always someone from the lettings team in the office to take calls.
