Having decided on a move to Wirral we registered with as many agents as we could. From the outset Clark at the Heswall office was helpful and provided us with information on how, going forward, the process would work. He picked up on when a property wasn't right for us and recommended others. He was proactive in letting us know when properties were due on the market with no pressure. We have used a number of agents over the years buying and selling properties - this score is representative more of a person than the company. To be fair our initial view of the company was poor - the service we received in trying to view the property was stressful and lacked focus - Clark was our initial contact and it was not a great experience - no response to calls or emails and the tone of those when he did was pretty poor. Even when I went to collect the keys and it hadn’t completed yet - he more or less suggested I wait in the car, maybe he could have offered a drink. We eventually got to see the property - being shown around by Holly Jones - who was from start to finish a real star and a credit to Clive Watkins. She was well informed about the property and very personable whilst being ultra professional in respect of her client representation. Once the price had been agreed Holly was able to navigate us through some tricky waters with a real determination - the property had been on the agents books for two years (I think if we’d have waited for Clark it may have been 2 more). Holly showed a real can do attitude for both the client and us as purchasers and always managed it with a smile. Thanks for getting completion over the line Holly and when we are looking to buy and sell in the future we will be in touch - and I didn’t think would have said that following my initial CW contact.... The initial valuation was prompt and realistic, however the property wasn’t selling and we were given good advice and reduced the price slightly, then the property sold quickly. Staff have kept us up to date with the selling process, they have always been welcoming and helpful. Would definitely use them again.... Read more

This agent was the chosen agent to sell our marital home following divorce. Our main point of contact to this point has been James, however my experience has been similar with all the team. He communicates really well with both of us and is really open to the many, many questions I’ve thrown at him. Our house sold quickly and we are now in the nervous legal process, yet having James as our Agent makes me feel a little less worried… my one point of advice for Clive Watkin is that Heswall really does need a refurb ????…... Our initial contact was with Clark the Manager. We found Clark to be very helpful, professional, friendly, thorough and took the time and trouble to explain all our options. We discussed in great detail the way forward and Clark produced a wonderful advert for the property, that stood out from the crowd on Rightmove and immediately started to attract attention on Rightmove from potential buyers. Clark always answered our emails and phone calls and gave us tremendous confidence that we had chosen the correct sales agent to sell our property. The excellent service continued when the property went up for sale and the day to day work was handed over to the team in the office. Holly and James contacted me to give updates and gather information for potential buyers. They were both very professional, friendly, approachable and extremely helpful. Holly and James always returned my calls and emails and were always fast to respond. I liked the way all staff communicated with each other first and then the appropriate person would make contact with us. It was wonderful to see the high quality service was maintained when the manager Clark handed the day to day running over to the sales/office team. It only took the team a couple of weeks to find a cash buyer for our property. The final part of any sale, being the negotiations between buyer and seller to agree the purchase price, is the critical part and can be very stressful. Holly's communication skills excelled, she was fantastic and I believe removed all the stress for us the seller and the buyer and played a major part in bringing about an outcome that was fair to both parties, pleasing both the seller and the buyer and ensuring the property was sold. Very well done Holly, you were brilliant and thank you. It was nice to see a straightforward contract and the charge for selling the property was very fair and extremely good value for money, especially when you consider the high quality service we received at every stage. We would not hesitate to recommend Clive Watkin and the wonderful team at Heswall , to any potential seller or buyer. We would be delighted to use Clive Watkin again in the future. A huge thank you to Clark, Holly and James, we could not have done this without you. You exceeded our expectations and we could not have asked for more. Holly,Matthew and Clarke have worked very hard in what turned out to be a testing purchase. They were very professional and always tried their best to answer any queries I had and would always get back to me . They make a great team and if I was ever to sell, I would use Clive watkin but I would stay away from conveyancing connect. Clive watkin did advise us to use them, as they should of been quicker and easier to use, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case for us... Read more
