Sold our home within a weekend to the most perfect family who we know will love living there.
Jess was amazing and also helped us secure the purchase of our dream home with a little gem of advice. Always going above and beyond as well as being on the end of the phone or email with regular updates or when the process became stressful (which it often does).
I cannot praise Curtis Law enough and would recommend them to anyone, but I can assure that we wont require their services again as we wont be moving from our perfect palace. Thank you very much from a very very happy little family.

On our first viewing, we met Simon, who represented Curtis Law. He was so warm and friendly from the introduction. He showed us every corner of the house and explained the potential and possible improvements for the house. We found his approach so positive, which led us to make an offer on the same day. Our offer had been accepted immediately and again, Simon dealt with this, making sure we locked the offer by having a long conversation with the seller. He is an asset to this company undoubtedly, and I really appreciated his overall assistance. Now we're in the process of buying the property.
We've been through other estate agents, but this was our best experience. I made a phone enquiry about a property recently, David received my call , he was so helpful and was open and honest about the property he offered information on repairs that would need attention he also spent time talking through the pros and cons with the property, he had been the valuer on this property and had a good insight to it. a viewing was arranged, Simon showed me around the property and again he was insightful and friendly ,I called the office for a second viewing with a builder, again David spent time on the phone helping to arrange a time to suit. The office staff I dealt with chole and Jess were also polite and very helpful keeping me up to date with a complexed sale.
I am not planning to move any time soon but if I did Curtis law would be the first to contact.

Estate agents don't have a good reputation, and in fact we were being pressured by another agent when we contacted Curtis Law, and they changed our experience. They gave us a value which was optimistic (higher than the other agent) because we weren't in an immediate hurry to sell, so we were very happy to test the market. In the event, they found us a buyer immediately at that price (thanks Danny), they kept us updated when anything happened (thanks Jessica) and altogether they were professional and reliable at all times. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
All that, and they charged half what the other agent would have. Got me a better price and charged me less for doing it - what's not to like?

The estate agent was okay and kept me updated etc. I used them as they were nearby. I wish I'd used another conveyancing firm though.
Let's be honest many houses sell themselves like mine did they just added it to Zoopla etc
Yes they did manage viewing etc and keep me updated via text and email this lulls you into a false sense of security to agree to using their solicitor arm for conveyancing.
The worst thing about the experience was the estate agent is just a portal to get you to use their abysmal conveyance service with their solicitor arm. This was horrible. I've bought and sold 8 houses in 20 years so I know when it's rubbish.
There was no communication in conveyancing at all only right at the end when things needed signing ( ie they were ready to get their hands on the fees ) which is very poor. I know this is about the estate agent but it's a a way to lull you into their solicitor arm steer clear. I mean Danny and co were let down by referring me to their solicitor arm

Curtis law estate agents sold my property within 3 days of the property going live on rightmove and got me an above asking price offer. Their price was less than other estate agents, and the service was much better than other estate agents that I had previously used. Good professional initial appointment, sound advice and no hard sell on using their services. Kept updated throughout by the office staff too. No bottle of champagne upon completion but in all honesty I'm glad cos it's an expense that I didn't have to pay out foe in other costs!

Following various estate agent quotations, I chose Curtis Law because I felt they had good knowledge of the housing market, they put forward a number of valid negotiation points that other agents had not discussed which help me weigh up how we could achieve the maximum sales price.. I was delighted to find the offer we received far out stripped my expectations. The property sold immediately, within days of being put on the market. Albeit the property was in an immaculate condition.

Through no fault of Curtis Law Estate Agents, it has taken a year to sell my house to the fourth prospective buyer (due to lockdown etc). I have dealt with James pretty much start to finish and I can't praise him enough for his professionalism, sound advice, empathy and humour (which he certainly needed on the several occasions I vented my frustration regarding delays to him!) - he has been a star!!
The photographs taken of my property were beautiful, and I was inundated with viewers, enabling me to negotiate a fair price. As I moved to Chester a year ago, James and the rest of the team at Curtis Law kindly escorted many of these viewings, for which I'm very grateful. Indeed, I never met the eventual buyer and James also handled all queries regarding the purchase of the house from her. He was always available to answer my calls or, if not, he would phone me back as soon as he was able (even if he knew I was likely annoyed at the purchaser's solicitors - who were pedantic and slow to say the least).
I'm sure the team will be feeling relieved to have me and my property off their books finally... I have jokingly said I will keep in touch once a month for a while as I'm sure they will miss me (not!!!)
I'd have no hesitation in recommending this firm to anyone wishing to sell property.

Horrendous from start to finish
Professional photography and detailed floorplan?? Had to add my own photos and amend their incorrect floorplan because he didn’t even have a pen. Just made notes on his mobile. Not very professional
Poor client registration and qualifying financial status
They have no relationship with their solicitors that they refer their clients to. The solicitors lied to and fed misinformation to the estate agents when asked for updates. That’s when they actually managed to get updates even though at the time they were located in the same building
Stay away from their solicitors and if your buyer or anyone in the chain is using them refuse to proceed. They do not review files on a weekly basis, it was more like every 3 weeks on our sale.
The estate agents aren’t trained enough in my opinion. They lacked knowledge on the sales progression side which really jeopardised our sale.
We complained during the sale and this must have annoyed them as we then didn’t get any contact for nearly 4 weeks after that.
From accepting the offer it took over 6 months to complete
We complained again after completion and their response was that because we weren’t the client they wouldn’t deal with us. They were happy to take our instruction to list the property, approve details, accept the offer and chase the sale for them on behalf of a family member but when it came to calling them out on how unprofessional and incompetent they are didn’t want to know they just wanted their fee which they did not deserve.
Oh and lastly If you dare to write anything about your experience with them on social media they’ll threaten you with legal action

We escalated our complaint up to their operations director Ishtaq Ahmed who clearly doesn’t care about the shocking service his company provides. They will provide you vague updates with no timescales, lose things and sit on work for months.

It is unfair just to give Curtis law a bad review and not explain why I have given them a low rating.
The staff here are very unprofessional and have a tendency to stretch the truth to such a extend that they themselves forget the truth. The are just as bad as their sister law firm. You get what you pay for and if you want unprofessional, inexperienced staff who are just trying to wing it then look no further. You probably better off sticking a post if note on your front door and selling it yourself. Avoid
IN RESPONSE TO CURTIS LAW ESTATE AGENTS REPLY:
I made my original review 2 years ago, but it seems the impossible has been done. Your service as a estate agent has got EVEN WORSE; so firstly I would like to congratulate you all on archiving this milestone. I spoke to the sales manager Daniel Hughes at great length to let him explain why either my review and others on google were either unjustified or inaccurate, he failed miserably and if anything reminded me how awful the service truly is.
1. He was extremely rude and unprofessional from the very get go, a very unpleasant individual who did not want to listen to why i went through the effort of leaving a bad review and contacting him to discuss it.
2. proof of the business/ Daniel Hughes lying, Curtis Law estate agents claim i only ever viewed and gave a offer on 1 property despite me viewing two properties on the day on question. i advised Daniel of this but he is yet to find the other offers i have made on properties offered for sale by them. Daniel broke data protection laws then claimed i rang him despite him ringing me when i reminded him he rang me he claimed he didn't need to go though data protection as when I originally rang in i was advised calls are recorded. Daniel then claimed he didn't need to go through data protection with me claiming no data breeches had occurred.
he also tried to convince me Curtis law estate agents has no connection with Curtis law, when pressed on the matter he admitted Curtis law estate agents were under the umbrella group of Curtis Law.
3. The offer that was made on the property had no connection with the original review left 2 years ago, i did make a cash offer for the property you have mentioned and this was the highest offer and was (over 95% of the asking price), The review left did not have any connection with this offer as i originally left this review 2 years ago.
Daniel you claim to have over 30 years of experience in the business but i personally believe its 30 bad years. if you spent a little more time on improving your business practices instead of reading my other reviews you may just improve the business.
I will update this review when i have heard back from Daniel / information commissioner's office.

I used Curtis Law estate agents to find and purchase a house during lockdown. Jess, one of the estate agents was absolutely brilliant. She went above and beyond to get us an incredible house- helped us see the potential and get an offer accepted on the house despite lockdowns and other issues out of her control. As first time buyers we had a lot of questions but despite this she was easy to get hold of and went above and beyond to ensure we could get a sale and exchange when we needed. She was always available and on hand to respond to any questions we had and provide updates with a friendly, cheerful yet thoroughly professional attitude.
We also used the Curtis Law solicitors, they were not as responsive and we had to chase them daily. Jess helped with this too!

Avoid at all costs. Very unethical and aggressive tactics. Head of the estate agent department was adamant in Jan 2020 his valuation of £175,000 was correct and he had years of experience in the property market. Despite having the majority of work done in respect of the conveyancing process, a similar house 3 doors down sold for nearly £20,000 less. Issues had arisen following a survey, I attempted to renegotiate the sale price as a result. Long story short, estate agent did a u-turn and ended up selling the house for £165,000 to someone else despite most the work in relation to the conveyance having been done. Fortunately I ended up getting a house on the same street for much cheaper.
IN RESPONSE TO CURTIS LAW ESTATE AGENTS REPLY:
Thank you for your response. Your comments below are entirely incorrect. I received the following by email from Matt on 20/04/20 @ 14.50 despite ongoing negotiations stating:
"We have indeed spoken to the vendor who, after speaking with her family make me aware that she won’t be re-negotiating on price under any circumstances."
You then sold the property for £165,000 despite suggesting the minimum the vendor would accept is £175,000 per your valuation.
Therefore your comments that you, on behalf of the vendor, were willing to accept a lower offer due to the works required is completely inaccurate and false. I lost over £2,000 as a result and hope people can see that you are publishing incorrect information and the type of underhand tactics you employ to force sales through. I subsequently purchased a house on the same road through James Whitehead for much cheaper, may be your company should contact him to learn a thing or two!

They answer the phone quickly and are friendly .
Its great to speak to someone as with a nother estate agent it was all by email , which can be tedious .
The only downside was the woman who first showed us a property , she said that some one had our an offer in and had loose ends to tie up in Spain .
When my partner rang the estate agent he asked if anyone had put an offer in and was told no one at all .
This woman was very lucky as we put an offer in , but could have been discouraged by what she said .
It was lucky my fella rang to check .
I know they have to try to make out there is lots of interest by others , but honesty and trust is essential .

Yesterday they confirmed availability for viewings on Saturday, today when I called them back they had none and still no answer to my initial enquires.
Also first agency that I came across to require proof of funds before even booking a viewing ( which I don’t mind providing) however a bit more professionalism & actually getting back to you when they say they will would go a long way .

Can't fault the service at all, Jessica was absolutely amazing, responding immediately to any questions we had, keeping us in the loop with how the sale was going ,right up until the end when we exchanged contracts. 5 star service for a great price. I highly recommend this estate agents.

I wanted to change my review, i think i had a one time bad experience with Curtis Law, i have viewed properties with them more recently and the team have been really good. Credit where its due, you've managed to change my 1 star to a 5.

Absolutely fantastic service. We used Curtis Law Estate Agents to sell our property, we dealt with Danny, Matt & James.
