The process with Tilly at Dafydd Hardy felt like a walk in the park, in comparison to our previous experience with a different estate agent.

As a tenant of a current property it is baffling to me how an estate agent can allow a landlord to be in a completely different country (Malaysia) and we can get no contact with them; we have emailed constantly at the start of our move in date about issues with the house and are STILL trying to email about them after 3 months, their only response is ‘we’ve contacted the landlord’ which ultimately means we will get no response, we’re paying a lot of money (as a student) for a house that has a lot of issues and we’re getting radio silence in return. Utterly disappointing as we had no idea when we moved in our landlord was out of country; if we’d of known we would not of have rented this property. Do better.

I had an issue regarding the return of my deposit and was very upset about it. But then a member of the team reached out to me, listened to my complaint, and fixed it promptly. He apologised and made no excuses and even made the effort to explain to me how the issue has been internally resolved so that no other students have to go through the same thing again.
I must say I am impressed, it's not everyday you actually get heard. So I am giving Dafydd Hardy 5 stars because, I know whatever problems they have now, are taken seriously and ironed out. That will make them one of the best agencies out there.

The customer service was impeccable. The response to mail was super fast...am talking about response less than 5minutes of any mail sent. The Staff made the process fast and effortless. they respond to mails even on weekend. Sally keys made it all easy. Whenever i branch the office, everyone were willing to assist within seconds, i get answers/solutions. Great Staff!!! Great Team!!!

Experience as a buyer. Misleading online adverts that they have no interest in correcting or checking, (a sitting tenant they omit to mention, but state full vacant possession). Too short staffed/busy to respond to messages left on answerphone, no apology when queried just surprised i was expecting a response because I could call/email again. Put forward an offer to a seller of below asking price from a buyer, and encouraged them to accept without validating purchaser's identity beforehand as supposed to do, or informing the seller other buyers were interested, wanting to view and ready to offer full asking price. 2 weeks later, when queried why the property was still for sale, turns out their identity had still not been legally proved, but this was ok because they knew the buyer personally/friend. Very disappointing and VERY unprofessional behaviour. FOLLOWING DAFYDD HARDY'S RESPONSE, No I was twice offered a viewing on this property despite this offer being put forward, so if what you say is true you were conducting a viewing with no possibility of success deliberately to waste my time. All offers should be verified before putting forward, you don't do this. Updating adverts, funny two weeks after I alerted you, still incorrect. Nice and professional.

Very disappointing. I requested viewings at least three times online, called and left messages, but never heard back.
When one visits their office, they won't let you enter unless you have an appointment, and when you try to make an appointment online or by phone, they don't respond.

As a mature student, having rented properties all my life, the student service provided by Daffyd Hardy is abhorrent. They have no interest in treating students like customers, well in the knowledge that each year a new horde of students will roll into the city and require housing. They are happy to pressure students into contracts with incorrect information, all the while hanging the threat loosing the property over there head. When it has come to claiming our deposit back, they are simply unwilling to carry out even the most basic checks. Waiting four weeks now for somebody to simply view the property to confirm the return of our deposit, despite our desperate need of our money back, the company is simply unwilling to treat students as customers, as it is clear from their behaviour the landlords are the only customers they pander too. Clear to see from the majority of reviews on google that they institutionally abuse their position as one of the only student estate agents in the city, with the majority of student properties under there management.

Only delt with Llandudno Branch and we weren’t made to feel valued as Customers, we got phone calls at 4.55pm on a Friday with bad news always !!!
We dropped the price 3 times under their advice, to sell our place.
The info given to us was all over the place even without Purchasers having a Mortgage in place etc.
Given lots of false information all the time. I don’t know about the rest of the Branches, but use Llandudno at your peril. In our opinion they are not professional at all.
The Manager is awful, the stress we had was totally unacceptable. How much we paid them and for what left my Wife Speechless.

would highly recommend these estate agents as me and my partner have always rented propertys through themselves! we have nevery had any issues in communication with the team and have always have every issue dealt with in a fast and professional manner. Most recent we had a couple issues with our property which needed to be dealt with immediately as we had a new born baby coming into the property. The property management team were outstanding and would like to so a huge thank you to them they got in contact with our landlord and the next day there were people around to fix the issues and over the following week everything was rectified. could not have asked for a more friendly and professional service and would reccomend any young couple who are looking to rent to go with this estate agents as you are always looked after and nothing is ever a issue.

Disorganised and inept. Unable to provide basic information to tenants and only seem to speed up when chasing money. The 'service' to landlords is hopeless - providing year-old images, not carrying out inspections (but still charging a fee) and losing inventories is at the least misleading and at the worst unprofessional. The constant demand for student lettings has led them to become complacent and lazy.

If you're a student do not go with these people. As soon as they have you sign a contract and hand over money then you're second hand to them. Digusting and immoral.
Also, some of their employees have rated it 5 stars which is clearly a conflict of interest. Don't trust the 5 star reviews.

don't help to make communication with landlord easier. not interested in changing or repairing things in property after you've paid full rent for the time you're staying. waste of money and time to go through that with an organisation like that. you basically pay them extra service fees but in the end you're the one who spends hours an hours calling them without them really doing sth about your complaints.

Selling a house is fraught with stress and uncertainties at the best of time. Doing it when you live on the other side of the world should put it at another level. I do not recommend anyone to deal with this agent. They rude and they like just money without any help. Mike and another girl who is fat are rude and do not respect their customers.
If anyone needs to rent a house, it is a good idea to deal with landlords directly or deal with Adams agent.

So as a lot of people would say "real estate agents will take your money and run" which is true, but the means of it being taken or how much is taken is never mentioned. Rewind to a years ago and I had just moved into a student renting house I paid my deposit and after a lot of difficulties of trying to find a third tenant me and my friend were settled, not for long though. The house had clear signs of damp that were not mentioned, nor was it fixed. Other things were not right either, there were problems with the house guttering that they would not fix. We couldn't even use the central heating for the first month as we had no idea how to work the meter, and neither did they. The worst of this was that the business (and I use that name as they only care about money) ending up taking out our damage deposit for something we had nothing to do with. My friend and I left the house in immaculate condition when our tendency ended, the other tenant supposedly did not as he stayed for an extra month. Because of him we lost £180 in total from damage deposits, I was even nearly charged an extra £20 for nothing and I had to go to speak with them about why it had happened. In general the staff treatment for this I will say was adequate though the way they treat tenants is a disgrace and I am glad now to be away from these real estate agents. Take the risk if you have money to burn, because they'll have the flame throwers ready.
