This review is somewhat unusual in that I did not instruct Dan Thomas, my sellers did, but I felt compelled to write a review to let people know how great they are.
Dan is very honest, respectful and fair in his dealings. He was very helpful and helped resolved any issues along the way (some were substantial). He always got back to me immediately and I was not even his client. Anyone thinking about instructing Dan Thomas should do so without hesitation, he will do a fantastic job for you. His team were also lovely and when I collected the keys gave us a bottle of bubbly and flowers (again we were not even his clients!)
The biggest praise I can give is I am sure the transaction would not have completed without Dan being involved.
There is no better agent in the area and they can be trusted to deliver.

Having tried other estate agents in the area and having little to no interest, we had all but given up hope for selling our flat and moving. However, Dan Thomas were able to find us a buyer off-market - before the photos were even taken!
Abi was incredibly helpful in the early stages, communicating effectively to keep us up to date on the viewing and negotiations.
As we neared exchange and completion, we encountered a number of legal difficulties. Claire was excellent in chasing the chain, the solicitors and facilitating effective communication between all parties. Claire also kept us up to date, which was really reassuring during the most challenging times of the sale. It’s no exaggeration to say that without Claire’s work, we probably would have been waiting weeks or months more to move - if it even went through at all.
Overall, the Dan Thomas team showed an extraordinary level of excellence and professionalism and I would be confident recommending them to anyone looking to buy or sell.

My co-Trustee and I sold an unusual property and Dan Thomas and his team handled the sale for us. Dan saw the house before it was marketed and gave his honest opinion about the marketing strategy he would suggest, which turned out to be an excellent strategy resulting in several offers being made soon after the property went on the market.
Dan Thomas & Co are friendly but very professional. They stand out from other estate agents I have dealt with - I particularly liked the lack of a 'hard sell' at the outset and their enthusiasm throughout.
They are a lot more proactive than most agents I have dealt with, and helped move things along when there was some delay in proceeding to exchange of contracts with the first offer we accepted subject to contract. It was of particular concern to us to avoid delays as we were selling the property as trustees.
Dan's team worked efficiently and seemlessly, and their was always someone available to deal with anything pressing that arose on any given day. Lorraine and Claire in particular were incredibly supportive and helpful during the sale.

It is often said that moving house is the most stressful thing you’ll do. We didn’t relish the thought of the process before we set out. All the usual cynicisms came to mind about estate agents. But we are so glad that we decided to book Dan Thomas & Co to sell our cottage.
Even from our initial call to them, we could tell they were going to treat us with the utmost respect. There was none of the schmooze that is sometimes heard from other estate agents. Dan visited us and genuinely took time to listen to our apprehensions and was completely honest and transparent throughout, he really put our minds at rest and, only after we were happy and understood all aspects of the process, set out a plan of action, of which we felt that we had been totally in control of that plan and any decisions made.
Dan introduced us to his colleagues, Jo and Claire, who were equally as helpful, friendly and honest, indeed the whole team were always readily contactable and would always call exactly when they said they would and kept us fully updated throughout.
Claire was very professional and liaised with the agent handling the property we were buying brilliantly and without fuss. Excellent.
Jo handled all our viewings and visited us prior to these, not only to familiarise herself with our property, but also to make sure she could relay all the information that we wanted to covey to potential buyers. Absolutely brilliant.
Our place was a 200 year old cottage with not much to compare it to regarding a marketing strategy, but Dan Thomas & Co pitched it just right and obtained thirteen viewings in one weekend!
We had five immediate offers above the threshold price and had an agreement within two days. Fantastic.
This goes to show how the viewers were impressed not only with the cottage, but I’m sure with the way they were treated by our agent.
Contrary to the usual cynical view of estate agents, this was completely stress free.
We feel we were given good trustworthy advice and care from start to finish and will definitely recommend Dan Thomas & Co to anyone.

Getting through to them was so easy, they answer the phone every time, they are really efficient on emails.
They were really professional and friendly throughout the process which I used them for.
Sadly I did not use them for the sale, only because my house was not yet on the market, and the house we really wanted was up for sale with another agent, which we had to negotiate with to get.

We purchased a property on the market with Dan Thomas and co and wished we had also sold our property through him too. We were kept up to date and we really got a sense that he was on our side and working for us as much as his vendors. Any questions we had he worked hard to get the answers for promptly. He had good connections with the conveyancer we used and so was able to help speed the process along and chase on our behalf.
When Dan showed us round the property I was struck by how personable yet professional he was, he gave us all the information we needed but also gave us the space to take a look in our own time too - it can be really off putting when estate agents give you the hard sell and don’t give you any space to get to know the property - not the case at all with Dan. There are so many wheeler-dealer estate agents out there but Dan is a respectable professional. I’ve sold two properties now and if I happen to sell another I would use Dan Thomas and co and recommend him to my friends and family.
He also gave a very warm welcome on the day of completion, handing over the keys at the property which was such a nice touch not having to faff around going to an office.
