My wife and I recently purchased a new home which was facilitated by Stuart Smith and the Dedman Gray team in the Thorpe Bay office.
We were grateful to have Stuart as our day-to-day contact in what was a complex transaction. Stuart is clearly long serving, hugely experienced, and professional estate agent who did an outstanding job of supporting and advising us throughout a challenging and complex purchase. Stuart clearly had the support of a great team behind him and at one stage even called in the boss (not to mention 3rd party legal) to assist in bringing ‘senior management leverage’ to help get the transaction across the line.
Importantly, we found Stuart and the colleagues we interacted with all demonstrated really great behaviours. We would say this was an all round excellent job by Dedman Gray and would not hesitate to engage with the team via Stuart again in the future.

I will single out Ryan for particular praise as the level of communication I had from him was excellent and he was invaluable in following up people earlier in the chain to get to exchange of contracts. My solicitor by contrast was awful and if it wasnt for Ryan and his almost daily updates, I would have been completely in the dark! Dedman may not have the slickest marketing or trendy offices but they know their stuff and are not afraid to provide honest advice so I can highly recommend them.

Absolutely shocking service received sadly, we called and called to try and book a viewing on a flat to be finally told 'I'll see you there at 10' with no confirmation. The agent was 20 mins late to our viewing, (stood in the cold waiting) when we called he then lied to say he had rang myself to say he was running late but my phone had been in my hand with no missed calls. We were rushed around the property and promised floor plans to be sent straight away which we did not receive, we called anyway to say we wished to proceed with the property and our calls were ignored by the agent so we contacted the agency direct and told the property was unavailable 5 hours after we said we wanted to go ahead.
We then went with Ayers & Cruiks for a property within the same Flat block and it was the most amazing service, try them first!

Dedman Gray where employed by the vendors of the property i purchased although i must say they acted at all times as if I where their client. The staff ,partially Stuart Smith, where very very helpful in offering advice and chasing down issues> We had two large ones to overcome during the purchase the largest being Covenants to the property, and secondly slow solicitors. Dedman Grey where instrumental in assisting in getting both issues resolved and the purchase finalised. Yes i know their fee is reliant on the transaction, But i feel they acted above and beyond their clients remit throughout the process and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking to buy or sell property in the Thorpe Bay area.

At my first meeting with Stuart I told him I didn't like estate agents after previously having very poor to awful experiences of them. He took this with good humour and a great determination to prove that Dedman Grey were not like that. They succeeded. Even they could not have expected that we would twice get to the day before exchange for the chain to break but each time they immediately contacted me and went through our options and were very quick to get more people in looking. We then got a supposedly straight forward purchaser and they dealt very efficiently with the problems that came up with that none of which had anything to do with they way they conducted themselves. All calls were returned when they said they would be and everyone in the office either knew the answers to my questions or found them out straight away. I would have no hesitation in recommending them. Well done as I didnt think my mind could be changed about estate agents.
