DR Kivell demonstrated a disgraceful lack of communication and misled me as a potential buyer after cancelling an auction. They were lazy and did not make much, if any effort to get competing offers. I am not sure they represented their client very well to get the best price. I was an unencumbered cash buyer and they could not be bothered to let me know what was going on with the sale of the property despite having a viewing in the diary and shown a lot of interest.
I have made a formal complaint but David is now said to be on annual leave for 3 weeks so make your own interpretation of this.
Seriously best avoided.

Outstanding professional service from D R Kivell country property agent.
After deciding to sell our equestrian property in 2023 we had three agents do a market appraisal, and we placed our trust in D. R. Kivell Country Property. We had an initial influx of viewings and Geoff and the team kept us up to date with the proceedings throughout, we sold and moved to our new property spring 2024, and would not hesitate to recommend this country property estate agent, great service throughout.

We found a wonderful bungalow (Valley View) for sale with D R Kivell and we were shown round with a lovely gentleman whose name was Geoff Lupton. At that time we were looking for a buyer for our house, with not much sign of a sale. Geoff kept in touch with us on a regular basis to keep us informed of any developments with Valley View and of course to see if there was any progress with our sale. Geoff was very happy to give us a 2nd viewing of VV, but sadly we were unable to conclude the purchase. We have nothing but the highest praise for Geoff for his courtesy, patience and professionalism and he is a great advert for D R Kivell.

My firm worked with D R Kivell recently and I can hands down say they were the most proactive, tenacious and hardworking individuals I’ve ever had the pleasure to work alongside.
Geoff, in particular, placed a clear emphasis on brilliant, frequent communication across the entire chain. When complexities did arise, as they often do, Geoff was solution focused and worked tirelessly to ensure we got to where we needed to be.

We bought our property via D.R.Kivell and we found Geoff Lupton to be really helpful which made things go much smoother. As we were new to the area we asked Geoff for suggestions of a local chartered surveyor, septic tank specialist and Cornish removal firm and he gave us some firms to contact and choose from, all we would recommend . Geoff kept us up to date with progress and highlighted when there was a hold up so we could chase from our side. Although Geoff was working for the seller he helped us, and the property changed hands with no issues. Geoff went above and beyond, Thank you Geoff.
We do not intend to move for a long time as we are now in our dream home but if we were to we would use D.R.Kivell

Although Geoff from DR Kivells wasn't able to find us a property, out of all the agents in Devon and Cornwall, over the span of 5 years of our searching, he was the only one who cared enough to keep looking for us and kept in contact. His persistence is certainly commendable and I am sure if we had have bought a property through them every thing would have gone smoothly. Thanks Geoff
