Due to extenuating circumstances, my wife was going to be away a week before completion on October 3rd and wouldn’t be back in the UK until the new year, Dybles we’re very accommodating in allowing us extra viewing opportunities, so my wife was able to choose colours and materials for the apartment. Arrived to this property and the gas line had been completely cut off to the property (illegal). And the property is not in an acceptable condition to live in. There is no hot water to shower and no gas to cook yet I have received zero compensation for having to live here in this state. The lady in store when I went in seemed clueless and tried to blame myself.

Dybles have lied to us about having offers on a property we were interested in buying in order to inflate the price.
Luckily we understood the Winchester property market in terms of what is a fair price - however if we were not so savvy this tactic could have seen us paying well over the property value.
I fear for the person who has now bought this property as I’m sure Dybles have had this tactic used to ensure they paid more. Great for the seller and for Dybles - but very unethical.

We sold our house with Dybles and several attempts were needed to achieve this. We chose them for their competitive pricing at a fixed rate which worked out to be just below 0.8%. So far so good, one star for this. We decided on the sale price ourselves as we did not think their estimation was right (and succeeded with our price at the end), we could not choose photos from the photographer (she apparently just took one photo per room), and we edited their standard advertising text to better suit the property. During viewings, staff that did not know the property were showing prospective buyers around and there were several agents who we had not even met before. The follow-up process was outsourced to an external company without previous notice and consisted of useless check-in phone calls. At some point we had the impression that they were working for the interest of the prospective buyers. The recommended mortgage adviser was difficult to work with and created us some additional problems when drawing down our mortgage from our bank.

If you're a STUDENT do NOT rent through Dybles.
We feel that advantage is taken of you a bit if you're a student in need of accomodation, the properties are overpriced and your queries are the last of their concerns - evident when you've waited days for a reply with no etiquette, sign off or respect as a tenant.
The room I moved into was left is disrepair as I noticed holes in the floor when the mouldy student bed was moved and eventually replaced (after weeks of waiting) and chips in the walls.
Yes, it's a student flat but I'm still paying £500pcm towards a £2000pcm flat share of 4 that has very little space.
I know it's hard renting in Winchester when you're a student but remember that you're still an adult, a human being that deserves decency.
Update: This review was followed up via email in a very unprofessional way.

We recently purchased a leasehold flat sold by Dybles and were very happy with the service provided. Communication was excellent and staff were helpful and friendly and ensured all queries and issues were followed up and checked. In particular we were impressed by the efficient and effective way that Matthew Booker, our sales progressor at Dybles, liaised with us, our solicitor and the seller’s solicitor, always following up on any issues or potential hold ups to ensure the sale went through as quickly as feasible. Having a local sales progressor who was familiar with local solicitors and the local property market was a great advantage. This was in contrast to an earlier experience where the sales progressor had been non-locally based and external to Dybles and didn’t seem to have much rapport with local solicitors, just seeming to rely on leaving emails and messages with them, and who was not particularly responsive to our queries either.

Had to push for replies to our querie from Abbie - she seemed to be genuinely disinterested so wont be recommending or using their service.
Not sure why she didn't offer alternatives or just take an interest in helping - felt led on regarding a property we showed massive interest too only for it to be gone over night...?

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I don’t normally leave reviews but all I did was phone up to enquire about something. Spoke to Lily and she was the RUDEST person I’ve spoken to in a long time. If you can’t provide good customer service, don’t work in a customer facing role. The fact she wouldn’t listen to my situation completely, didn’t understand what I was saying so gave the wrong solutions, CUT ME OFF and rudely said “can you just let me speak” when I was trying to explain the details for her to understand. Tried to book a viewing on all 4 of my days off I had over a two week period and only on the fourth I got a viewing. Someone emailed me and asked when I would be available after I stated twice already that I would be available monday/tuesday every week. I paid the money to move into a place, and then emailed to say I had paid the money. I received an email from who seems to run this company stating their working hours. Following that I was told that although I paid the money, another estate agent found a tenant for that property and that I'd get a refund, and even that took two working days to receive. Be aware of this estate agents, below are a few problems i had with them:
1. I gave 2 weeks notice to get the toilet fixed and when i moved in the toilet was still broken.
2. When i tried to speak to Abbie Harris to get the toilet fixed she hung up on me and refused to deal with the issue.
3. The boiler at the property had an incorrect part and was leaking carbon monoxide even though supposedly it passed a safety test.
4. Dybles tried to charge 150 pounds for a end of tenancy clean that was not aggreed and was not needed this was later reduced to 70 pounds.

Very disappointing. I feel the company do not fully understand government guidelines on Covid-19. In my opinion they have been persistent in trying to get my son to sign up for a shared tendency agreement starting 1st July (with 3 other tenants) knowing people are still not allowed to mix with other households! They are landlord focused and no regard for tenant H&S.
Response to your feedback:
I took your advice and researched the matter and also spoke to our own letting agency. The current rules are groups of up to six people from different households are able to meet outdoors, or in a garden while continuing to practice social distancing. People from the same household can move to another house. No mention of 4 different households moving into together! I dont see in the link you provided that people from different households can move in together?
On the subject of persistence, you failed to mention the numerous telephone calls!!
You can twist the story to make it meet your requirements, but ultimately contracts are in favour of the landlord, and you represent the landlord. The tone of your response only demonstrates the experience I have received dealing with your company.
To the reader: I appreciate there are always two sides to a story. My humble opinion is just to err on the side of caution if you are going to deal with this company.

Dybles in Winchester where absolutely fantastic with the sale of my property, which completed only a couple of days ago. This after me trying two other larger well-known agents, who both let me down big-time.
I must single Jack Mantle out as being outstanding in everything he did. He is a credit to Dybles and to himself. He went way past what I would expect from any estate agent, but I guess this is what you get from a small independent agent compared to a national chain. The personal touch.
To top it all off, their fees were also the best in town, so luckily I have been in a win-win situation with these awesome guys.

We experienced fantastic service start to finish with dybles. Having been searching for a while for a house in winchester, and being registered with about 10 of the estate agents, I can say we found dybles the most easy to work with during the house search process. They provided sensible suggestions without bombarding you with emails and when viewing the houses they were helpful and knowledgeable. Simon and Charlotte were especially helpful during the viewing and offering stage. Once our offer was accepted, Donna in their sales progression team took over. She was invaluable in managing the solicitors on both sides, the sellers and even the estate agent selling our previous house. Examples included price negotiation following survey, pushing to get contracts signed quickly, helping sellers obtain fensa certificates and obtaining queries from our solicitor direct from the seller to save time. Huge thank you to the whole team at dybles for doing a brilliant job throughout!
