Since renting our flat in October 2022 we have had nothing but exemplary service from the staff at Gargan and Hart - our property manager is prompt, efficient and any issues have been addressed quicker than I would have anticipated based on past experiences.
I appreciate it's often getting a nice balance of an attentive landlord and an effective property manager - which fortunately we have. But for their part, Gargan and Hart have carried out their responsibilities happily and without delay to ensure my partner and I can occupy the flat without issue.

I have rented with Gargan and Hart for over 10 years. Sadly, as the landlord is selling the house, so I am moving on. But Gargan and Hart, have always been helpful, respectful and professional. They have been inspecting the property every 3 months and are always prompt at addressing any issues and at making sure the property is safe and well maintained.
Emma is amazing, approachable, respectful and always at the end of the phone if needed. She goes above and beyond, and I cannot thank her enough for all of her help and kindness. She is knowledgeable, practical and a wonderful person. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They would be my first port of call for any future renting or buying. Great team.

Due to family problems I had to flee & had to rely on benefits until it was safe for me to reside back to work. I made an enquiry about a one bedroom flat that I was quite interested in viewing. In response to my pre Application I was emailed back by a lady called Emma who is the (manager) stating that I was not eligible because I was in Receipt of a benefit. I had been advised by citizens advice bureau that in actual fact this agency have been breaking the law! I told Emma my concerns regarding the fact she had unlawfully discriminated against me under the Equality act 2010 I got a very snobby response back that she was busy and slammed the phone down on me. At this point I was in tears I felt completely alone. I think the the hardest part was I tried to open up to Emma about my abusive husband but I had a very unwelcoming response that she was busy. I feel helpless to say the least.
I was treated with very little respect I’ve always worked very hard I’m a critical care nurse but due to circumstances I had to leave.

I made a pre application for a one bedroom apartment for me & my 6 month old baby. I was emailed back a response explaining that I wasn’t eligible due to the the fact I’m in receipt of universal credit. I called the office and spoke with Emma she told me that the landlords insurance does not cover benefits. I then went on to tell Emma that she was unlawfully discriminating against me for being in receipt of a benefit. Under the equality act 2010 I was also lied to I was told the property was no longer available. That same property a week later is still being advertised on there website. Not only is this agency lying to people but they’ve broken the law.

Attended an appointment to view a property this morning in which we were turned away because we didn't have "face coverings or gloves".
The agent stated it was "Government guidelines", however when we advised we had viewed a number of propertys, adhering to strict social distancing and the no touch rule and were sure the PPE Rule was not fact.
Funny enough we checked government guidelines and no such suggestion exists.
The worst bit being the property was vacant and no chain.
As a member of NHS clinical staff, I can assure you Gargan and Hart that your PPE use is clearly not doing you any favours, the dust mask you were wearing is not capable of filtering particulates and the gloves only remind you of infection risk, they do not reduce contact risks.
Congratulations, you have lost a property purchase.

I have checked the "agreement" you suggested we signed, however I cannot locate any actual signature or acknowledgement request, just a questionaire without any real significantly important nature to it. Clearly a poor attempt at "abiding" to the made up legislation your employee suggested he was working too.
I would have been more than happy to return, with PPE that actually works but the attitude of your employee put us off. We do not line the pockets of persons who provide poor customer service.
Thank you for the offer, but no thanks.

Wouldn't trust gargan and Hart, viewed a property in Torquay. The estate agent who showed us the house was very cagey and using the back door and we thought this was very suspicious. Through our own research we discovered the house had subsidence at the rear 10ish years ago and the front now had it. Gargan and Hart knew this information and we'd been asking for weeks for them to send it to us but they never would. but only shared this information when we wanted to withdraw from the sale..
Very misleading and just wanted the sale. Don't trust them
