This was a few years back.
Staff have lied and tried to make out that it was different story. Nice try but asked someone different doesn't exist. So they would try anything.
Plus when I went in there one staff member had some real horrible attitude towards me. Called me a few names. Luckily I didn't stand for it.
How on earth do they get this staff. I hope since Covid they bought in better staff.

On a recent property-finding trip to Torquay we had the absolute pleasure of meeting Sam from Miller estates. We were exposed to such an array of experiences dealing with mutliple companies during our two day hunt for a property, and by far Sam's professionlism was clear to see. He really understood our needs and was a great source of information on the area in general. Unfortunately this time around he didnt have the correct property on his books for us but we will 100 percent be contacting him again when our next property need arises. Miller group should count themselves lucky they have such a passionate member of staff!

Not only was her manner abrupt and rude to the extreme, but also condescending and cruel. I felt totally deflated as a prospective client and will certainly never contact your company ever again. I cannot praise Miller , particularly Sales , enough. My Aunt and I had been searching for our future home, without success. We decided to walk to a Road we had always liked and Aaron was coming out of a property there . He could have said to ring the office, but no , this is an exceptional young man . He took the time to take all our details, what we needed the house to have , and said he'd be in touch. The very next day , as promised, he sent over property details , kept in touch making courtesy calls to see how we are and how our search was progressing. We would not go past Miller in Torquay.
Miller are extremely lucky to have him , he's not a typical estate agent, he has integrity, which is extremely rare.

I have had two lots of dealings with Miller Countrywide, Torquay. The first was around five years ago, when at that time, these Letting Agents did leave somewhat to be desired.
However I am now involved with them again as Letting Agents for a Flat in a different part of Torquay and I have nothing but praise for them, especially for Lucy Vans-Colina whom I have dealt with the most.
The staff at Miller Countrywide have shown kindness and professionalism, as well as a firm resolve to overcome any problems that have arisen whilst becoming a Tenant of theirs once again.
A small amount of work has been required in respect of the Flat I am moving into and without any delay Lucy very kindly got hold of the Firm of Contractors that Millers use and the Contractor who visited the Flat was very polite, competent and reassuring.
All in all I am very pleased to be involved with these Letting Agents as one of their tenants. May they go from strength to strength.

I choose Millers Torquay estate agents to sell my property for me, as from the 5 different Torquay estate agent encounters and values I had before I put it on the market they stood out massively right from the start of the process compared to the others. It all started with Natalie Evans from the branch giving the house valuation which she did very well covering all areas and not making me feel at any stage uncomfortable or that I had to go with you. She turned up on time unlike 3 of the other 5 estate agent branches and explained all what she was doing and why it was worth the value she had put forward. By the end of the day I went with you. Natalie and Emma Cowell brought the paper work to the house, explained it all and covered all the costs and answered any questions I had straight away showing they had great knowledge of there Job. Once the house was on the market the photos they developed of the property and had on the internet were great and showed all areas of the house really good so people knew what the were going to see. They kept me upto date with all viewings of the property so I Knew what was happening and never felt like nothing was happening. When I got the offer I was after for the property I was kept up to date at all times with how the sale was going and what needed doing to get it moving by Emma and Natalie. The Branch Manager Cheryl Irving was extremely helpful as again kept me up to date with what was going on and would get me the information on any part of the sale process that I asked for and gave me up to information as soon as she got it. All I can say is Thank you very much for helping me with the sale of my property, you 3 have been amazing through out it and I very much appreciate all your help. I Highly recommend using this branch to sell your property.

Very quick to take your money, painfully slow at giving it back.
I had multiple missed calls in one day when they wanted money to update the tenancy agreement. But now, it's been almost a month since the tenancy agreement ended and we still haven't had our deposit back. It took 2 weeks for them to get hold of the landlord and confirm that we'd be getting our full deposit back. On that same day, we replied to their email with the account details for them to send the deposit to. Another 2 weeks have passed since then and they still haven't given our deposit back or even contacted us at all, despite us asking for an update. They're not answering any phones due to Covid so we're stuck waiting for them to email us back, which is not happening. Extremely unprofessional.

The team from Torquay Branch have gone above and beyond helping my friend sell his flat. They have been patient, understanding and showed nothing but kindness towards his anxiety issues, we have never felt rushed or under pressure and would highly recommend them to all friends and family. My mum has also sold and bought with them and she to found there service the best in the Bay. I dealt mostly with Natalie and she is a full credit to your team!

Had a great experience renting from Miller, Laura and Lucy couldn't do enough to make sure we'd found the perfect flat, even when our first choice fell through we were compensated for the inconvenience and the second flat we viewed was even better and we picked up the keys within a week. A real breath of fresh air to work with!

I was originally dealt with by Lucy. I had to move in within two weeks and I was out of the country for one of them. Lucy sorted everything out perfectly whilst I was away and passed it on to Laura for my move. Laura moved me in without any issues and any problems I had when I'd moved in she dealt with well and very quickly. Much better experience than with previous agents.

This decision was further reinforced by Emma who worked tirelessly to sell our property. I had the pleasure and privilege of being helped and supported by Laura Stuart. The factors leading me to require the support of Miller were due to my relationship ending badly and Laura was very sympathetic to my situation. I also have ADHD and sometimes my lack of attention and patience can be difficult for others to deal with. But not Laura. She had lorry loads of empathy, patience, understanding and professionalism. She made a usually negative experience for me a very positive one. Because of that it's made the whole process a positive one for me. Thank you Laura. A truly horrible place to deal with. Clearly chop and change how they behave towards people from certain areas. As we were new people to the county we were unaware that the building we were moving into was not in a great area or a nice block of flats and we were treated with nothing but disrespect, bullying and nasty tempers from everyone we dealt with there. I would never recommend or use millers in the future anywhere in the country and I know we were not the only people treated like this. Complaints to head office fell on deaf ears so a total waste of time. Just a truly horrible experience all round.

I have just sold my flat with millers which was on the market for 2 years with 3 other agents. 2 sales previous fell through which was when we thought we would try millers. Within less than a week we had a offer we were happy with. Cheryl was very helpful and profession throughout the whole process and even when we did come across a couple of issues she was very quick to sort these out.
I would definitely recommend millers. 5 star service!

From the first viewing of a flat I let I was immediately sure of Neil, the manager, and his strong passion for me, the customer. In fact that's how I felt throughout, instead of a tenant, I felt like a customer. It was unusual but that's how I can explain it. He assured me of finding the right place for me and my daughter. Anyway, a fantastic negotiation took place and throughout my tenancy I was given all the advice and support I requested. I did not feel like I was renting through a big nameless agency but instead called all the staff by name and was allowed the speak freely when issues arose. I was sad to leave the company but my landlord was selling the property and it made me decide to relocate. Even Miller's repairs team, which is a separate office, were nothing but helpful to me even when planning the cleaning end of tenancy the manager of that office gave me personal advice/tips on products she uses. Whenever a repair was needed it was dealt with efficiently and always requested a report back to check it was satisfactory for us, as the customer. Thank you miller for a pleasant business experience and for supporting me and my family during that time with understanding, great communication and a personal touch every time.

Excellent service throughout, we were constantly informed of new properties and they kept in touch and updated with any new information regarding our property search. Staff were incredibly friendly at all times.
Heather in particular gave us lots of advice and nothing was too much trouble.

So disappointed and dissatisfied. My house was on the market with Miller Countrywide for 6 months. I can trace every viewing I had back to a telephone call I made into the office to ask what was going on. Miller Countrywide clearly operates a policy of low resource input into selling houses. They would rather hope a property sells itself so they can get the maximum return for the smallest amount of effort. Even simple things like responding to emails or getting back to me when they said they would escaped them. It's no wonder estate agents get such a bad name. Avoid like the plague

Since starting my rental back in june there has been many faults with certain staff at millers which i have found frustrating and disappointing. To the extent of making me want to move house just to be with a better estate agent.
However I highly praise Neil for all his hard work, reasurrance and commitment. He has always been efficient, kept true to his word and keeps you updated and sticks to scheduled appointments ( unlike other members).

Cheryl was very efficient from the beginning and immediately arranged viewings of the property I was selling, resulting in a sale which, from initial appointment with Cheryl to completion, took just over 3 months, which I thought was very good.

I moved to Torquay from the Midlands While looking for a property to rent I found that millers Torquay were the most helpful in finding the right property for myself and family. Nothing was to much trouble for them, and they were always honest with me as I was not always able to view the property. If and when I move again I will certainly go to Millers, and would recommend anyone to use them
