After making the decision to sell my home through Gilbert and Rose, I was put in touch with Lewis Harvey who was amazing every step of the way. Lewis would give regular updates on prospective buyers, viewings and just generally kept me informed of all situations. It felt like he was working hard to get the right price for both myself and prospective buyers, I would highly recommend dealing with Lewis at Gilbert and Rose. After a sale was agreed I was put in touch with Claire Skilbeck who was my sales processor, Claire was great - she kept me fully informed throughout the sale, giving me regular updates and it felt like she was really pushing all sides to try and get the exchange/completion to happen smoothly and quickly.

My recently renovated flat with sea views was marketed through Gilbert and Rose. After failing to come out and value my property they started marketing it on the usual platforms and managed 1 viewing in 3 months and I had to chase them 4 times to even get the 1 booked in. Despite numerous broken promises from senior management that they would turn things around they never did manage to get another buyer through the door. Don't waste your energy there are plenty of diligent agencies in the area that bother to take the time to visit and value properties... In addition, there is a lot of paperwork to fill in when you appoint G&R then they call you and text you asking all the same questions about your property that you answered in their online portal when you appointed them. I am sure to have grown the business to this point the team did a great job at one point, but their sales team as of Spring 2024 have not been able to provide even a basic level of customer service.

My experience was an emotional rollercoster, loosing my late partner suddenly and having life changing consequences. It was very sad to make the decision to sell our 1st home..but I have to say GILBERT and ROSE came and were very considerant with myself talking me through the steps to take.
ALFIE came first to see the property and assured me that they were there for every step . The property had great attention and sold within the period they aspected it to sell. Through the selling the process I have to say KAREN SUMMERS was and absolutely was the best ever..Karen met up with me several times to go through things I didn't understand and assured me throughout.. Everytime contacting me every step of the way. Phone calls, emails even having contact with my solicitor also on her time away from work..exemptional service from herself .GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND. GILBERT AND ROSE you have a dismond there. Hope ypu appreciate her.

He gave us great support when our purchase fell through and then kept in contact with us when he knew there would be a property coming on the market that would suit us, helping us to get back on track with moving quickly. This estate agency provided an excellent service. We found them to be very professional, polite and extremely hard-working on our behalf. We were given detailed feedback on every viewing and constantly communicated on the progress of the sale. They were extremely proactive and gave sensible advice to gain the best possible sale.
I wrote the above review two years ago, and last year, this estate agency sold two of my investment properties. I am pleased to say that the quality of the service provided and the ability to make a sale remain the same: excellent! Like I said before, I was given detailed feedback on every viewing and constantly communicated on the progress of the sale. They were extremely proactive and gave sensible advice to gain the best possible sale. I would like to thank Ed for all his effort and commitment.
I have now (April 2024) retained this company to rent out and supervise the tenants of one of my properties. The process of gaining the tenant was very efficient and professional. They quickly found a tenant for my property. As per usual, the communication between myself and the company was excellent.

Lewis at Gilbert and Rose has been amazing. He has kept us in the loop throughout and his communication has been brilliant. His replies have been immediate and responses have satisfied our queries and concerns. Nothing has been too much trouble and he has gone above and beyond in assisting us. An example of this was showing viewers around on Christmas Eve which was also a Sunday. Even though he was not due to be at work, he made the viewing happen at ours and the buyers convenience. I can’t recommend Lewis and Gilbert and Rose highly enough, professional and efficient at all times.

Lewis from Gilbert & Rose knocked on our door and asked if he could sell our property.
Impressed by the proactive nature of this, we agreed and listed with Gilbert & Rose.
Gilbert & Rose gave a fair & realistic valuation, unlike the other agent we had previously listed with. Our property went live the same day as the valuation was done.
Within 2 weeks we had, had more viewings than we had over the past 11 months.
The team gave great advice through the selling process, and were in constant communication with us. Lewis was extremely professional, friendly and courteous showing people around. He also actively looked for potential buyers and referred people to our property when attending viewings elsewhere.
As a whole Gilbert & Rose were a breath of fresh air and actually delivered on their promises. I cannot recommend them enough!

Two people who deserve special call outs are; Lewis Harvey - was excellent throughout and answered every one of our questions with patience and kindness. And Claire Skilbeck, who is incredibly efficient in her role, as well as making a potenitally stressful process, stress free! Both are great assets to the company.
