I recently used gowers to buy my first property and I was extremely impressed with their service. From the initial firs visit to the successful completion of the purchase, the team at agency we're very professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful.

I would highly recommend Gowers Dawes to anyone. Although the purchase of my house began with some complications due to the chain situation I was facing, Gowers Dawes (Jo) never ceased to fight diligently to ensure a successful outcome. I am especially grateful for the Estate Agent (jo) assigned to my purchase; she was truly exceptional. She consistently kept everything on track by liaising and engaging with all stakeholders and their representatives involved in the chain. The most thrilling part of the transaction came at the end, when Jo delivered outstanding performance. After months of waiting and emotional ups and downs, she managed to finalise the sale within a three-day timeframe, which was crucial to prevent significant losses for everyone involved in the chain.

I wanted to take the time to share my experience with Gower Dawes.
Our estate agents name's are Jo and Jordan both really amazing agents.
We are first time buyers and it's safe to say we didn't have a clue what we were doing, however Jo was great and every step of the way she supported us and made sure we had all the information we needed.
Buying a house is very stressful, but it was a lot easier with Jo and Jordan on our side.

From the 1st appointment when Tom arrived 45 minutes late with no apology and when I mentioned that he was late, he said "Do you want me to go??" I asked Tom about a video tour and he said that they don't work so GD doesn't do them. I should of bailed out using Gower Dawes right then and there.
So I signed for what seemed to be the longest 12 weeks ever. At the end I only had 7 people view my house as the eighth I'm sure was one of their mates making up numbers after I had complained. I had one offer but at that time was way too low and a lady who shouldn't of even been viewing my property as her budget was 35k short.
I spent half my time chasing GD for feedback of viewers or asking for an update when things were quiet. I really felt that they were mainly waiting for people to call from Right Move and even though the interest rates had spiked during my time with them, this was mitigated by the fact that I dropped 25k from my original asking price, even though at the end GD wanted me to accept even less to get the sale and their commission.
I've now switched to Haart and from the get go they were better. The attention to detail on the photos was excellent and they produced an amazing video tour too. Haart indicated to me that I should receive a list of previous viewers from GD at the end of the contract. But when I asked for this which is part of the estate agents protocol as stated '5u - At the time of the termination of the instruction, you must explain clearly in writing any continuing liability the client may have to pay you a commission fee and any circumstances in which the client may otherwise have to pay more than one commission fee. Your explanation must include a list of parties that you have introduced to the property'. I was told that I should probably remember who viewed my property, but of course if I forgot who viewed and that person went through Haart. I would then owe GD the commission. Funny that. I eventually pushed for this and had to suggest that they put in writing that they were refusing to give me the list. Then suddenly they sent me the list.
At the end of the contract there was no communication whatsoever and I felt like I was sent to Coventry as I had jumped ship to Haart. Hindsight is a great thing but I'd seriously think about things if you also seriously want to sell your property and decide on GD. Frankly I'm glad to be done with them and looking forward to selling my house with Haart.

Booked an appointment to view a house, viewed the house and made an offer even more than the asking price and more than it's worth in that area. Never got any call back from the Gower estate agent. Atleast common courtesy should tell them to call you back and let you know if your offer was accepted or rejected. I had to call them 2 days later to check what's going on and was told on the spot our offer was reject. Update!!! got a call back from them after 3weeks if we are still interested in the property we viewed, we said NO

Very careful with this Estate Agent. They are honestly greedy & unprofessional.
They accepted my offer after confirmation with Vendor. I provided my all documents to them within 30 minutes. Also she already gave me solicitor price etc. They supposed to contact with my broker after two days 12pm . But rather than contacting with my broker they are taking other people’s offer. Then my broker called to Jo Herbert.I called them 1pm they said they have got another 3 more offer on table. I have to give my final price again. Even I gave final offer again which more than accepted price. They didn’t accept it. What a greedy !!

This estate agent is a ASSET to this area. Amazing amazing amazing. We was first time buyers and so everything was soo new for us, but the beautiful team made every step so easy. Jordan was so helpful from the start and even when things didn’t go well with the house we originally wanted, he was always calling us up to recommend other houses that he knew we would love, and we just got the keys to our dream home yesterday. Thanks to his help and recommendation. Everyone I had any dealings with were friendly and in this very unique and challenging time we are currently in they made the whole process much easier and smoother than I expected or could have hoped for. Did not feel the agent actively marketed my property. Poor communication, calls not returned, very few viewings. All in all very disappointing. Only really seemed interested when I had given notice. If you actually want to sell your property I would avoid this agent.

Absolutely disgusting. Ignores everything. We was there for an entire year and the problems that were already there still weren't fixed by the time we left. They also falsely told the water company that we had left five months later than we actually had and we have evidence of moving out we got over £100 bill from the water company until we explained and gave the evidence that this was false. Awful.

What a fantastic service I have received from Gower & Dawes in Chadwell St Mary. This is my first time selling a property and they made it so easy. A few days after it went in the market I had viewings booked and a tentative offer was made.
