Greenwood & Co are an excellent letting agency. They were recommended to me originally by a friend who rents through them, which indicates that they take care of their tenants as well their landlords. They have been managing one house for me for a number of years and have always been friendly, helpful and efficient. I have just placed my main home with them for rental and the team has been wonderful. I have had several meltdown moments in the process of moving out, but nothing has been too much trouble for Alice and Zoe and I know my home is in good hands. I would highly recommend Greenwoods.

Initially switched to Greenwood’s because of their, largely deserved, reputation for property management.
My recent experience of using them to find a new tenant was sadly very different. This is clearly not their area of expertise. Their knowledge of the Farnham lettings market is poor as, in my experience, is their ability to navigate the lettings process, communicate with the landlord, and deal with situations which might arise. Just two examples; It is customary to pass tenants’ references to the landlord for approval before proceeding (didn’t happen), and the Tenancy Agreement would normally be agreed with the landlord before being passed to the prospective tenants for signature. Fortunately they didn’t sign, because to this day I have no idea what was in it - but that’s another story …

I would avoid this estate agents at all cost. Held an unreasonable amount of deposit when we left which we had to dispute with TDS to receive a lot of it back.
They claimed to us the landlord needs to move back into their place so used the breakout clause to get us to leave, and the day we did the inventory checkout, the property was back on the market. It was obviously a ploy to get us to leave.
They lied and told us my sister in law staying with us would turn the property into a HMO, but if they knew anything about properties and Lettings then it only becomes a HMO if the people are not from the same family or household. When I kindly requested if my sister in law could move in with us as her mother was hospitalised, they told us to get out the property.
Upon leaving the property, the inventory clerk was extremely impressed with the state of the property, and told us he would advise the agents to return the full deposit. Yet they still kept about £400. We had to fight and fight and fight and fight to claw back our wrongly kept money, which TDS helped us with.
They acted in such bad faith. Do not recommend.

I didn’t dislike the place but it just proved that estate agents don’t care about tenants, only about the landlord as they are the piper & call the tune. You call & enquire about a place & they don’t even bother to call you back. I use to think that estate agents got a bad rap but I now realised they have worked really hard to earn it…

Agent understood our predicament and answered our questions promptly enabling an easy completion of the transaction. Property was thoroughly examined and photographed by the surveyor on handover of the keys to ensure that all pre existing faults were logged.

I was interested renting a house so the lady agent sent me a questionnaire to fill for the viewing but on next day she sent me an email saying all viewings are booked. So why wouldn't you tell me this at the beginning I spent my time for this questionnaire! Besides she didn't reply for my email...very unprofessional !! And on the website you can choose time and day for the viewing but never works! So stupid...

We found a wonderful property in central farnham that I fell in love with as soon as I walked in the door. Once I had enquired I was able to view the property within 48 hours. There and then I said I was happy with the property and would like to pay the holding deposit. Alice was incredibly prompt and polite. Even after we had accepted the property I asked if we could view again so I could show my husband. The credit checks and referencing were commenced straight away, and our move in date is only 3 weeks away from when first viewing the property. All the information has been clear and concise from the start, and Alice really does work with the landlord and tenants best interests. Thank you for all of your help so far, and when we we are ready to buy a property ourselves in the next few years we would absolutely go to GW&CO as our first port of call. We are so excited to move into our new rental home which was presented beautifully. The landlord very obviously takes great pride in their properties and the immaculate high standard is what made us fall in love with this new home. Thank you GW&CO. You have been leagues better than other estate agents we've used in the past.

Very pleasant when under tenancy, very polite. Not so great when leaving the property, very poor management of leaving and charges being applied. We were charged additional rent a month after tenancy had ended. Unreasonable charges had been taken from the deposit and we are currently in dispute about this. During the dispute the agents have added even more charges which we weren't even aware of. I would not recommend using these agents at all. Lots needed to be done to our property in which we were very accommodating and this is how we have been treated, pulling charges out of thin air just trying to get as much as they can. The property we have stayed in has been reported to the council for the querying subsidence and mold. This is not the kind of stress you need when you are a keyworker at this time!

Money deducted from our deposit on Landlord’s instruction. Estate agent did not use their own initiative and common sense. Going through Tenancy Deposit Scheme to get our money back. They just need an excuse to deduct money. Throughout our stay for a year we were very helpful and co operative to the landlord and an agent. Some of the jobs they fixed after more than a month. Response time for some urgent job was over a week. At the end got it fixed by our self. Avoid at all cost. They have let us down.

I had recently moved out of Farnham and was kooking to move back into the area. My girlfriend and I were spending a lot of time looking through Zoopla and Rightmove to try find some nice properties available. It was no coincidence that most of these properties were managed by Greenwood & Co.
Once we found a property we were certain on, we booked in to view it immediately and from that point Greenwood were fantastic, Chrissie was extremely helpful when it came to keeping us informed and answering any queries we had regarding the process and property.
It was a very easy process and I would highly recommend using Greenwood & Co as all the staff we spoke to were very much like Chrissie, extremely friendly and eager to help.

Wrost estate agent I ever seen, when reported issues to them they not bother to fix them, after calling emailing number of times they send someone to fix it, some of light had loose connections which never fixed they dont think it was dangerous and could be very costly to them,
Keep deposit even after checkout for things which was not even mentioned in checkin report, taking legal action againt them so they get lesson and learn something.
Avoid them at any cost.
