Hellards has been involved in the selling and letting of residential property in Alresford and the surrounding villages since 1988, when Paul Hellard opened for business in East Street, having previously been in business in Winchester. Over this period, the business built up a reputation for local knowledge, trust and reliability and for offering its clients a service tailored to their individual needs. Now that Paul has retired, the business is now run by Gordon Thoday, an estate agent living locally in Alresford, with many years? of property experience gained with various agencies in Hampshire. We aim to carry on building the business on the foundations Paul put down over 30 years ago.

This is the worst estate agent I have ever come across.
They do not care for human welfare, only money.
There was mould through the property, me and my partner and I were renting. They did nothing to solve the issue.
The day we moved into the property, it was filthy it needed a professional clean.
Now we have moved out of the property, and they haven't given our deposit back. It has been over the two weeks, still nothing.
Please avoid this estate agents
They lie and will not respond to any emails. They have zero regard for human life.
Ian, the owner or manager, admitted that to resolve the mould issue is far too expensive.

From my first viewing, to when I picked up the keys to my new home in Old Alresford, the team at Hellards couldn't have been more helpful, kind and responsive. It felt like they really cared about both their client, and me as the buyer. And even though I was given one point of contact, (who was incredibly efficient and went above and beyond), it also felt like a genuine team effort to get to completion and then handover. I would not hesitate in recommending them.

A special thank you to Viv whose friendly enthusiastic approach enticed me to getting a valuation, to Nicky who found a buyer right though to Liane who continually kept me informed and up to date keeping me sane from offer to exchange! Selling and buying can be challenging and stressful. Hellards staff were fantastic throughout the selling process, working well as a team to provide the best possible service in all respects. We were so impressed with our Sales Manager Viv Denyer and our Sales progressor Liane Phillips both whom were incredibly proactive and efficient keeping everything running smoothly. We would heartily recommend Hellards without hesitation.

We had a very happy experience with Hellards when selling our mother's house. Although it was a tough market, they were incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the process; checking the house when asked and letting in gasmen etc as required. They also kept us well informed and were unfailingly polite.

I've just completed on the sale of my house with Hellards as the agent. The great thing about Hellards is they know the area inside out. That said, from the outset, the team took time to understand the property and it's character and then did an amazing job matching prospective buyers for viewings - I really felt they were 'quality' viewings. Special shout out for Nicky and Viv who lead on viewings and Liane who did a sterling job of managing the sale process. Communication throughout was excellent. Thank you!

Tried to manipulate the dates when we terminated the contract, we’re very unhelpful, don’t ever get a tenancy through them, they are not honest in there checking in and checking out procedures, be aware.

Hellards helped me prepare my house, and me, to put it on the market. What was impressive about them was how people-oriented they are...they don't see a house move as a technical exercise but a personal change one and this makes quite a difference in outlook. I would definitely use Hellards again...!
