Hellards has been involved in the selling and letting of residential property in Alresford and the surrounding villages since 1988, when Paul Hellard opened for business in East Street, having previously been in business in Winchester. Over this period, the business built up a reputation for local knowledge, trust and reliability and for offering its clients a service tailored to their individual needs. Now that Paul has retired, the business is now run by Gordon Thoday, an estate agent living locally in Alresford, with many years? of property experience gained with various agencies in Hampshire. We aim to carry on building the business on the foundations Paul put down over 30 years ago.

We had a very happy experience with Hellards when selling our mother's house. Although it was a tough market, they were incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the process; checking the house when asked and letting in gasmen etc as required. They also kept us well informed and were unfailingly polite.

Tried to manipulate the dates when we terminated the contract, we’re very unhelpful, don’t ever get a tenancy through them, they are not honest in there checking in and checking out procedures, be aware.

Hellards helped me prepare my house, and me, to put it on the market. What was impressive about them was how people-oriented they are...they don't see a house move as a technical exercise but a personal change one and this makes quite a difference in outlook. I would definitely use Hellards again...!

Initially I rented from Hellards, after returning from living in the Caribbean in 2021.
The whole process was handled with total kindness and professionalism by Ian and all by phone and email.
Now in 2023 I have bought a home through Hellards and again they have been really accommodating and helpful, without Viv’s incredible knowledge and Liane’s dogged persistence to push the process through, I would have been lost.
I have never written a review before but Hellards are a worthy recipient of my first effort and I’m absolutely delighted with the way that I have been treated
