Thanks for all at Hornsbys for my latest sale, especially Renata who dealt with this particular sale,she went above and beyond,keeping me informed doing viewings ( as I now live out the area) and even taking meter readings for me.
Iv used hornsbys for many years both for my own house moves,and sale of rental properties,and one or two new faces arrive,along with the ever presents, ( hi Maggie)
but the consistency of high service never wavers.

I have been dealing with Hornsby Estate Agents for more than 20yrs. I have a great relationship with Maggie at all times. The staff are brilliant. However, I really have to praise both Robyn and Catherine, as I have had a lot of communications with them both over the last 6 months. They both work in different fields within the company. Their standards of customer service are highly applaudable. They never make promises they cant keep, they always keep me updated of my transaction. They both are very approachable and I feel they know me very well. This is the reason I do not go to any other Estate Agent. Lastly Robyn .. thankyou for contacting me regarding my time line for submitting my DPS. Keep the excellent customer service.

Dealt with the elder lady a few years ago and she made a false promise of me getting the flat I applied for, so I got mad at her about it as i had already rented my van for the date I was told I would likely receive the keys.
I recently went in about a house I saw and have figured out that she has basically blacklisted me from getting a house/flat with them.
This kind of professionalism is unacceptable when you are supposed to be helping people find a place to live.

Very disappointed when dealing with them. Many listings that are already taken & continued to be listed up for 1week+. They have contacted me twice, both times about properties I had not enquired about (1 was out of the price range I had provided them) and they have not yet acknowledged the application I filled in for the property I was interested in. It reminds me of a commission only sales office, not an estate agents. (Just for clarification, I was not informed about the properties being removed. I was not contacted relating to any property I expressed interest in. And the houses offered we're done so with the wording 'you have expressed interest in...' on properties I have not shown interest in.)

As a tenant for 8 years I must say I've nothing but positive results from Hornsbys., nothing as ever been to much trouble whenever I've rang with a problem it's always been dealt with by the relative members of staff very efficiently .
I've now been lucky enough to buy the property I've rented. Within 7 weeks everything was sorted and the property is now mine .
Huge thankyou to all who work at Hornsbys Scunthorpe. Especially Maggie I owe you so much for your kindness and Renata you both worked so hard to get this all sorted ASAP ????. So if your thinking of renting or buying this is the place to deal with. Well done team keep up the good work ???? .

Depends on the agent you talk to, the senior agent whom I believe is nice and helpful. She is thorough and professional. However, I have bad experience with the other agent. She can be sarcastic, not informative and negative( if she’s not like that to others then I would say racist) in a way that I would not rent my current property if I have other choice. I was so desperate for the property enough that I had to bear the humiliation. I need to call 3 times for the registration process. Needed to request for the viewing as she decided herself that I could not come for the viewing. Had the viewing with the previous tenant without the agents( the tenant wasn’t aware of the situation). Even though the advertisement says available now, they can’t give me the exact move in date so I need to arrange for the accommodation in the mean time. But overall, the process is fine.

Hornsby were very good and kept me in the loop throughout the application. I also believe they only reference one person at a time so it's not a lottery as to weather you can have the accommodation. Upon receiving the keys we found some of the windows wouldn't open, however this was resolved within 48 hours. Very pleased so far.

I have recently moved to the city and been with Hornsby Estate Agents for 6 months now, and have just renewed my tenancy agreement for further 12 months. I am very impressed with the care and professional behaviour that I have received from Mr Hornsby, Magie and the rest of the team.
Despite being extremely busy with clients, they have been very responsive, and are really flexible to meet their tenant's needs and I feel so lucky to have been renting a place with the best housing agency in the area. I also have many friends who have had pleasant experiences with them, and so, I would highly recommend Hornsby Estate Agents.

Enquired about a few properties through these guys, to start with, they never get in contact with you, you constantly have to chase them.
Myself and partner have had no end of issues with them, we tried to set up a property viewing with them, to then be told we were black listed to failing to attend, I informed them we had emailed to let them know we could no longer make the appointment, they refused all knowledge of the emails, so when I forwarded them a copy of the email regarding the cancellation, they moved the goal posts and said “well it was to X email address” basically shirking all responsibilities of actually looking through there inboxes, I made a formal complaint and asked to speak to there lettings manager, the girl I spoke to was very rude, very disrespectful and shouldn’t be in the line of work she’s in, would do better behind a till at the pound shop.
I was told via email, the letting manager would contact me regarding the complaint, it’s now roughly three to four weeks since I was sent that email and I’ve still yet to hear anything from this estate agent.
If you’re looking to buy / rent / sell or let out, I’d full heartedly recommend you use a different estate agent, as these ones don’t seem to keen on getting people into the properties they’ve been raked with managing on behalf of there clients.
100% avoid Hornsby estate agent.

Need to up their game and adhere to landlord and tenant legislation and agreements and maintain the properties they have on their books, advertise with current photographs. They should work with landlords to repair properties promptly, instead of lowering the tone of areas, leaving unkempt accomodation with broken gutters, fences, electrics, gates lack of internal and external refurbishment and high prices for hard working tenants.

Very bad landlords, dont fix anything straight away even when health and safety issues, have to argue and send multiple emails before they deal with the problem. The staff in the office are very rude and talk down to you constantly. Would not recommend

Buying house it's very stressful but hornsby took care of us. We managed to get the property we wanted in a good price. Jack was a star, and guide us through the process very well; nothing was too much trouble for him, million emails and phone calls, he was always there to help and offer support. Amazing customer service! Highly recommended!
