I first used Hunters in 2020 to sell my home and back then they were excellent. 4 years later I instructed them to sell a rental property. All I can say is thanks Jack and team for a consistently brilliant service from valuation through to completion. Should also mention there is no better person than Tracy to manage the day to day in getting the sale over the line. Will not hesitate to use Hunters North Leeds again in the future.

Edit- Your response to my review really shows how unprofessional you and your team are. You didn't expect me to write a review about the poor service I have received and highlight your shortcomings as a small business and now because I'm complaining you call me a Karen, which is actually quite comical. Jack bearson, you are a bully and clearly aren't used to people standing up to you.
You sent me a threatening message telling me to remove my review. For a business that has been running for over 10 years 200 reviews is actually quite low. You must have threatened anyone who left a bad review or i'm sure your review count would have been much higher.
My family are aware of the stress you and your team have caused and therefore have intervened to deal with you, as i am locked into a contract. Interpret that how you like.
It's absolutely abhorrent that you now lie about comments that I have made regarding certain communities. I would have chosen not to work with someone who made comments like that. If i had made a comment like that, why did you do business with me. Absolutley disgusting!
I have made a complaint about one other estate agent but because of their poor service i received a payout. That was the benefit of working with a bigger company, there is actually someone to look into poor service.
It's great you stick up for your staff, but if you had intervened when they first showed poor practice, then maybe we wouldn't be in this siutation. But you were too scared to loose my business. Instead you waited untill i was locked into a contract to show your true colours.
I look forward to your next threatening message or response to my review. It's great you have something to fill your time with because clearly you don't have enough customers to keep you busy.
Edit- I have just received a message from Jack Bearson telling me to remove my review and if I don't he will be posting screenshots of my messages. I have been open and honest in my review and admitted that I swore. I don't have anything to hide.
I also advised Jack that I am 7 months pregnant and trying to keep my stress down but yet he is continuing to behave in such a manner towards me. Jack is clearly used to bullying behaviour and I really dread the year ahead.
I wish I had read his responses to his other bad reviews, because they really show his true character.
As a landlord I am currently locked into a contract with Hunters. Katy has caused me nothing but stress. She cannot understand simple emails, sends abrupt messages with false information. There's a real sense that members of staff do not communicate with each other or record information correctly, which leads to further confusion.
Jack Bearson the owner is copied into all email communication with his staff, yet does not address any of the concerns raised in the emails.
Today I did lose my temper and state that Katy is pissing me off, to which I finally received an email from Jack abusing me. No acknowledgement of the incompetence from his staff that lead to this situation.
Jack Bearson and his team are extremely nice when trying to get you to sign up with them but as soon as they have you locked into a contract they show their true colours.
There's nothing special about Hunter's and no point in paying their higher prices. I do wish I had chosen a different estate agent to manage my property. But as Jack gleefully stated in his email, if I try to break my contract he will collect the whole years management fee plus other fees.
Hunters Roundhay are too small a team and Jack as the owner, will only act to benefit his business. There is no one to complain to if you are not happy with the service they provide.

Refused a viewing based on the fact I have a disability and claim PIP as well as housing support. Have the funds to pay 6 months rent in advance. Was told that PIP and disability payments for my lifelong disability don't count as income. However they seem to for the private rental I'm currently in; where I pay the same exact amount for my rent. The Equality Act 2010 is supposed to be there to stop people being discrimated against for their disability.

Jack was great and pitched the property just right, as opposed to his competitors. Tracy was very knowledgeable and kept things on track. Some of the general communication / organisation was a bit disjointed if Tracy wasn't there. However, all staff worked hard to secure our sale. I genuinely think that choosing Hunters over the other 4 agents we invited into our home, was the best choice. The market changed quickly but they navigated that and we sold for a little under the asking price. That was a great result considering how things changed. Thank you.

UPDATE: instead replaying to my review Jack decided to call me with threat's, went to my business page and gave a bad review when I never done any work for him.
This is the costumer service that you can expect from this Hunters branch.

Over 2 years, and they not repaired an intercom and I ordered all parcel to shops or distributors centre. And after 7.5 years renting the flat, they took £150 of my deposit, coz 10 years old carpet had some small stains. Also request professional cleaning and replacement filters etc. ridiculous!

My experience at Hunters has always been v good. I usually speak to Katie &she is one of the most helpful, compassionate & understanding person I have come across. She always goes above& beyond to help. Last year, during Christmas break she responded me asap, helped& got my heating fixed during the holidays. If you show your slightest concern even on a minor issue she always responds promptly & tries to address the issue. She has helped me even out of her working hours on several occasions & during holidays & even when she was off work. Excellent customer service skills& she is brilliant at her job. If its a weekend she tries to help in any way she can by signposting or sending useful information till she can arrange the maintenance team. Definitely the company has a v good policy& they help their tenants but helping out of hours& during holidays is not an obligation its a choice & that makes all the difference.

Hunters completed our house sale May 2021 and also our purchase of our new home June 2021, we was lucky enough to have a intrim house to live in between for the 6 weeks which was also part of the purchase chain . While the process is stressful and feels like a rollercoaster ride of emotion the North Leeds team (led by Tracy) was there at every turn to give advice and guidance firmly, positively and importantly without any none-sense. As with most house sales we did experience a problem, further down the chain at literally the 11th hour, while it was a long stomach churching overnight panic for us come mid morning the following day we received the call from Tracy to say it had been sorted and everything was on track, thanks to Tracy getting on top of the problem and dealing with it immediately. A company shows is true colours when problems arise, Hunters more than capable also proved beyond doubt that their customers come first. A Big thank you to all.

If you’re a potential tenant, please do not choose Hunters North Leeds.
Cannot describe how much of a headache we have had with Hunters North Leeds - it seems they have a strict “no responsibility” policy and will do everything they can to empty your pockets.
They put a dead zone (I mean literally, no emergency signal) on the market for working professionals - I am remote working and the penny dropped when we moved in and realised actually we’d never be able to work or you can’t move in and they suggest you stay and pay but you can’t make an income?
The neighbours made us aware (they jokingly explained how unreliable the agents were with the last tenant and that they’d give us a heads up) just after we signed that actually you’re not allowed to have Sky (bye bye sky sport my poor boyfriend!) no barbecues and no children allowed to visit. What kind of arrangements are these? No one would agree to these if you put them on a listing.
How do they expect people to live comfortable Iives? Were so appalled and would never recommend Hunters North Leeds to anyone!
Our solicitor has gave us every confidence that they will get us our compensation for the loss of income and distress they caused us if they don’t fix it and I hope that will be a lesson learned for them.

Recently sold my house and bought another with Hunters North Leeds. What more can I say than they are the benchmark. I've used a handful of Estate Agents in my life and the team at Hunters North Leeds and in particular Tracy there are by far the best.
Tracy isn't just a model professional, she goes above and beyond and I have never encountered someone so completely "on it" both sides of our sale and purchase. She recommended conveyancing services via Jayne at Taylor Rose and the two of them are the dream team. There was 4 in our chain and between them there wasn't a day that passed without them informing me of the end to end process and where we were at.
They got us through to completion in record time, this is what you hope to receive from Estate Agents, but it's rare. If you're buying a house in their area, you'd be mad not to use them.

We recently moved and sold our property with Hunters and also bought a property they had advertised too. Hunters made the whole process a breeze.
Jack was great for listing our flat and came and took photos in the middle of the pandemic very safely and with full PPE. Our flat sold within 10 days of it being listed and Jack was then very proactive in finding us somewhere to move to.
Once all offers had been accepted, Tracy was really on the ball with getting all the information from all parties and pulled the whole move together with the various solicitors.

Tracy, Rose and the team have always been amazing - keeping in touch regularly and letting us know exactly what is happening. We've never had to chase them for an update.

This has been such an amazing estate agent to use. Selling the house hasn't been the easiest tasks due to difficult circumstances with the other party who owned half the house. Tracy has been amazing. Emailing regularly and keeping me up to date with everything that was going on. She did such a wonderful job and made this difficult selling process, so much easier by communicating to the other party and myself. Jack also did a great job at taking photos of the house and making it look presentable on websites. Also as it was a long distance sale, they were very good to show the property to people and keep me in the loop anytime a viewing was going to happen. I brought a property to Hunters North Leeds to sell for me when I noticed that the first local estate agent I commissioned to sell the property were not getting enough viewers to be interested in the property. The first big difference is the increased level of regular viewers Hunters North Leeds brought in the moment I added them as additional agent. Also, they were able to get me the selling price I was after unlike the other local agent. What was impressive is once a buyer was eventually found, the selling process went very fast and was professionally handled, really top notch service. The regular communication facilitated by the Office Mgr between all the parties and their solicitors was brilliant. She was really the key to setting the pace of the conveyancing by her follow up and follow-through. Against all odds we have completed the sale few days before Xmas which looked impossible at the beginning of the week. Really without her, this could not have been achieved!
I've given Hunters North Leeds a 2nd property to market for me as the Sole marketing agent because I know the type of top level professional service I will get.
If you are looking for a professional estate agent to handle your property, I will strongly recommend Hunters North Leeds.

Cannot rate Jack and his team at Hunters highly enough. Jack arranged an open day where we had 8 viewings within 1 week of the property being listed. 2 days later we had 2 offers on the table.
The sale of our house dragged out for 6 months however the team in the office ensured the deal went through and kept all parties happy.
The final and most important last point, these guys guaranteed us the highest price and gave us a better deal over 3 other local agents.

Dealing with this branch of Hunters has been an exception to our previous encounters with various estate agents. We rented our flat in North Leeds through them, and had no issues throughout the tenancy. Their fees are a bit on the high side, but worth the service.
Clare (our agent) was very helpful and courteous, and always responded to our queries immediately. She helped us negotiate an early exit during our second term, and made our move as stress-free as possible.
