The entire process from start to finish was not only professional and swift, and this young man went above and beyond, responding to every question I asked along the way, he couldn’t have done anymore, he made a very stressful process, into an absolute pleasure.
He is an absolute credit to the company.
I would not hesitate to recommend.

I can’t recommend the sales team at Hunters highly enough. Our sale was not straight forward - we had a couple of sales that fell through very unexpectedly just before exchange. But James Leach has been especially helpful liaising with all parties and quietly and diplomatically achieving the final sale 10 days ago when we had Exchange and Completion on the same day. If it hadn’t been for James, I don’t think the sale would have happened. Thank you James and all the sales team at Hunters !

I am very happy with Hunters.
We bought our first house with Hunters in 1999 and now Hunters is looking after our house and it's tenants. Everything ran very smoothly from the organizing the gas certificate to finding the right tenants.
I live away from Harrogate and I wanted an agent who agreed to give me a quick video WhatsApp call from the house when necessary rather than write me long emails from the office.

This is worth a read so grab a brew..
We met James T about 18 months ago, he valued our house, followed up however timing wasn't right so we didn't sell then. He was friendly, helpful, prepared, knowledgeable, motivated, never pushy, just a nice lad happy in his work. We contacted him again this spring and asked no other agent to attend, the business was his, we just needed to agree the best price. James and the team arranged 15 viewings within a couple of days and secured us asking price within 3 days to a solid buyer.
Their communication, care, passion and support across the process has been first class and this was demonstrated so well by their sale support, Victoria.
Now on to this lady, Vix as we know her, who is the absolute definition or customer care, she worked for us, kept us in constant comms and even helped with the onward purchase given the lack luster approach from another very well know Harrogate agent. Vix was always one step ahead of the solicitor and she ensured our buyer felt confident, she supported us in getting appropriate work requested in the survey done and had she not done this we would not have completed when we did as the solicitor was always 2 weeks behind her! The solicitor recommended by Hunters dropped the ball on our purchase part way through with no action for 26 days and until I contacted them alongside Vix who also offered to use her influence to inject some energy into proceedings.
Harrogate is saturated with Estate Agents, loads of independents that would tell you don't use the high street national chains blah blah. This isn't about the name above the door, its about the people working within and their care of the people sharing and entrusting their most important, fragile and valuable journey to them to manage. This team were local, loyal, together and just bloomin lovely!
All agents profess to be about the customer first however 2 of the biggest in Harrogate seldom answered the phone, lacked energy and came up very short compared to James, Vix, Shona and their Mortgage chap Gianni who was so helpful and present.
Superb team effort from Hunters Harrogate, you have been brilliant and I would highly recommend.. to the point I gave them another property to sell part way through!

I felt overlooked by Hunters i had asked to view a property a number of months ago, i wasn't even allowed to view the property although i contacted them hours after the property was posted online.
Something felt fishy about the whole sale of the property as if they wanted only a quick sale and not the best offer for the client.

From the off, we had full confidence in Matthews valuation. He gave a good justification for the price he thought we would get for it, and that was the main reason we originally went with Hunters.
From that moment on, it felt like we were involved in a well oiled machine and the house was on the market within a few days, with really high quality photos from a professional photographer.... our house had never looked so good!
We had about 10 viewings requested within a couple of hours, and this was expertly handled by James and Aimee. All of this led up to us selling our house on the first day of viewings. All of this process was painless!
The rest of the process is where Hunters really shone!
It felt like our sale took forever to exchange, and as time went on we got anxious and a bit stressed with the whole conveyancing process. However Aimee Tooke was a true star! She was always on top of the rest of the chain, asking for updates and letting us know as soon as she heard anything. Towards the end we called her quite a bit, she was always happy to help and gave us her full attention. To the point where it felt that she didnt have any other clients than us (this is defo not the case).
If we ever move again, we will be going with Hunters.

I think anyone who has gone through a house move during the pandemic needs to recognise the stress and pressure that estate agents will have been under and I can’t thank the team at Hunters HG enough for how well they handled the entire process.
Hunters have now handled both our sale in 2018 and purchase in 2021 and it has been the most professional and easy experience on both counts.
One of the agents (Aimee) managed to negotiate our exchange and completion with less than half a days notice with a bank holiday thrown in and looming stamp duty cut off. I am adamant that things would not have happened had it not been for her perseverance and above and beyond attitude which I am incredibly grateful for!

I can't recommend the team at Hunters enough. I had a really difficult sale and without the support Aimee and Shona I wouldn't have coped. They kept the chain happy and chased the solicitors. They updated me regularly and were there for support when things when wrong.
I would highly recommend the whole of the Hunters team, they put together great presentation pack for my house and it sold for the asking price within 3 days.

Having initially been very satisfied in the early stages with my choice of Hunters I felt it turned into a farce! The saving Grace being allocated Shona to pick up the second opportunity of a sale.
I found her easy to relate to, ‘normal’ in her ‘down to earth’ interaction with me and patient and understanding when things got ‘too much’.
This is just what I needed, cannot say the same of another individual who was fuelling my debate on whether to submit a complaint.
Treat people as you would wish to be treated and there doesn’t have to be an issue.
Shona got the job done, a problem solver and aware of the importance of keeping you up to date! Oh and remembers your name!

Rented same appartment in large appatrment block for multiple years and after blockage in mains pipe and flood (nothing to do wirh us) we were kicked out and asked to leave same day. No alternative accomodation provided and took months to get deposit back. Fortunately our family lived locally but cannot imagine the mess and upset if they didnt.

We used an online estate agent to sell (won't do it again!) and bought through Hunters. I've moved many times and always get frustrated by the unfulfilled promises given by estate agents. Hunters were, without doubt, the best agents I have ever dealt with. They kept us fully updated and always did it professionally and courteously. Excellent customer service. Good response to valuation request. All viewings were accompanied and I was given prior notice. Did not deal with same person throughout which was disappointing and had to ask what was happening once we had an offer, seemed too busy to keep me informed and obviously once I had accepted an offer I was no longer a "client" I guess. Seemed like a lot of money for not much work. Also promised professional photos but they were taken by the guy who did the valuation. Would rate 6 out of 10.

Recently, my husband and I had decided to upgrade our property, as we needed more room due to expecting our 1st baby!
We considered a variety of estate agents who seemed much of a muchness, however Matthew at Hunters seemed to stand out due to him taking the time to understand our circumstances, provide specialist knowledge of the area and market, plus showing genuine confidence (not arrogance) in selling our house for the price stated!
Within days, our brochure was produced and we had potential buyers waiting to view our property. By the end of the 2nd day of viewings we had received a variety of offers, Jordan at Hunters provided buyer information to help make our decision which was invaluable, as a result we accepted asking price the same day.
Following acceptance, it was then left to the solicitors, but due to being in a chain it was understandably not as swift as originally thought. However, James at Hunters was ‘on the ball’ and determined to have all parties communicating effectively, putting our minds at rest instantly. James returned our calls when promised and went far beyond what was asked of him.
Overall, our experience with Hunters Estate Agents in Harrogate has been excellent due to the high level of professionalism and fantastic support provided throughout the process. Value for money!

I purchased a property through Hunters of Harrogate in Nov 2013. To say I was purchasing I was treated just as important as the vendor. I was given realistic time lines, sensible advice and they kept me up to date throughout the purchase. The regular communication kept me at ease throughout, returning calls and emails as quickly as possible and answering any questions when they arose. I liaised mostly with Holly and Catherine, they are a credit to Hunters. Impressed to say the least.

I recently purchased a house through Hunters in Harrogate. The seller was a nightmare and the purchase took well over 9 months.
Hunters were very proactive throughout the time and battled to get completion for me.
I mainly dealt with Holly ( now working in York) and George, although all the staff helped where they could.

I have recently purchased a flat through Hunters of Harrogate. I found the staff very efficient and knowledgeable. I was most impressed with the consistency and the level of contact they kept with me. They were always willing to answer any questions I had and returned my calls and emails immediately. We have recently let our house through Hunters Harrogate and can't recommend them enough.
We are renting out our home for the first time and were unsure about the process, what to expect and whether to do it at all! We approached Hunters and spoke to their lettings manager about our situation and to get some advice.
She was professional, helpful, gave us lots of great advice, was very honest about the rent we could expect and the tenancy process. We decided to let our house through Hunters after this preliminary conversation and the lettings team have since found us a great tenant.
They made a stressful experience much easier to deal with!
