There is nothing general about this comment but everything exceptional. From the first phone call to the checking in after we moved, our experience exceeded our expectations, and that was pretty much down to one man: Nick, who was absolutely incredible. He was professional yet so very personable and went above and beyond for us. By the time we moved house, we almost felt sad that our communication with him was over. He walked a journey with us and shared in our moments of joy when our offer was accepted, and was so supportive in the frustrating and disappointing days when our house move was delayed. He showed so much genuine interest in us. He seemed to know exactly what to say and it was very evident that he cared about all his clients. Nick communicated effectively and was always quick to respond to messages. He often checked in with us to see how we were and he worked tirelessly with other agents and solicitors in the chain to get the job done. The words above do not give justice to the gratitude we feel or to expertise, kindness and character of Nick, but we hope that our thoughts will be passed on and that he will be recognised because he is an absolute asset to your company and is an example to estate agents world wide of excellence, integrity and client commitment. James & James have been absolutely brilliant throughout our whole purchase. Aaron and Nick are the kindest and most helpful people you could meet (My previous experience of estate agents was not great) but these two treat you like a human, not a pound sign.
We have had a bumpy road throughout our transaction, but they have both been fantastic. From visiting the property a dozen times ourselves, calling to ask them to contact the sellers conveyancing company, to having carpet fitters in to measure, (A few times) Nothing has been to much of an ask.

We are buyers of a property being sold by James and James in Goring. It has been a prolonged and difficult process, but not in any way because of James and James. On the contrary, they (and Aaron in particular) have been really great.
Aaron has been consistently efficient, patient and kind throughout and his colleagues were equally helpful if ever we couldn't get hold of him. He is very responsive and much more proactive than we might have expected an estate agent to be. He worked tirelessly to get the deal over the line and we owe him.
If ever we were to sell (and right now, we have absolutely no plans to do so!), we would certainly make James and James our first choice.

One of the best experiences using an estate agency! From an early probate valuation there was no pressure to put my mothers bungalow on the market until she was ready. Once she was James visited us and created a great brochure and then waited a few more months until my mother was ready to to buy somewhere suitable.
At no point we’re we pestered to sell and when we finally went on the market in late December we sold within two weeks with plenty of interest at a fair price.
Aaron was very professional and supportive throughout the selling process and was proactive getting the chain to the exchange and completion stage.

Couldn't recommend James and James enough. It was our first time selling a house and they made it simple, easy and we got a result that was better than expected.
Photos and open house went smoothly and the how they handled the offers to present to us was spot on.
In the end it took about a year to go through (no fault on James and James) but they stuck with us, didn't put any pressure on and kept lines of communication open.
When we were looking for places to by they were nice enough to offer advise on what to look out for.

We were devastated and left a few thousand out of pocket when the vendor pulled out on the day of exchange. In our view, the agents should ensure the vendor wanted to sell before marketing. We wasted 6 months in this abortive purchase. I expect this post to be removed, but this is an honest account. We want others to be warned.
In reply to your response. This would have been known even a day advance of any exchange date. Perhaps the vendor should have been advised differently? It should not have been left until so late it affected the sale and purchase of 7 families awaiting exchange in a chain.
