Such lovely people working here. Viewed a property recently and the estate agent (Leigh?) was proactive in finding out what we were looking for to help find the right property for us. We have just had an honest evaluation of our current house ready for selling. If we do decide to sell, we will use Joanna Tiley and her team. Joanna is very knowledgeable and friendly.

Joanna Tiley and her team helped with the very long process of selling our first home. This took a long 12 months due to the market but we couldn't have asked for better service. They were prompt, reliable and always able to answer our questions which weren't always easy! I noticed Nicola Roberts’ recent review but must say she has a rather distorted view of what really happened. We were actually the owners of the house she refers to. Yes, she did put an offer in after her viewing - but this was, in fact, less than the guide price.
Unfortunately for Nicola, another couple had viewed the house previously and immediately offered full price the same day as Nicola. This couple were also able to proceed straight away having just agreed the sale of their house. Hence, we accepted their offer and instructed the agents not to take any more bids.
I note that Nicola says she was ‘prepared to go well above asking price’. Funny thing was, she started off offering below asking price and, at best, only ever formally matched the other offer. She may have been ‘prepared’ to go well above - but never actually did. So, contrary to her statement, she did indeed have a fair shot.
Not content with this, Nicola then posted a letter to us a few days later. In this, she explained how disappointed she was not to be given a fair chance, how she would be a good person to sell to, what she and her partner did for a living etc and that she was prepared to make a much higher offer (an offer that never materialised by the way). Clearly, she was desperate but this was not the way to go about it and it left a bad taste.
Unfortunately for Nicola, we were not the kind of vendors looking to start a bidding war and exploit the market. All we wanted was a fair price for the house and once someone met that, we agreed to sell to them.
We wanted to be vendors with integrity and, even if Nicola did put in a higher offer, this would have been after we’d agreed to sell to the other couple. Money does not always talk.
In contrast to Nicola’s views of Joanna Tiley, we were nothing short of impressed. The time, energy and effort made in ensuring the sale went through and the chain kept intact was very much appreciated. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Joanna and her agency.

All you ask for in life is to be treated fairly and with kindness and in our dealings with this agency we really don’t feel that we were. As I write this review I am still in utter shock at the unprofessionalism and insolence shown. My partner and I had been looking for a property for just over a year, so you can imagine that when we found the house of our dreams, we were delighted. We were encouraged to learn that we were only the second viewers of the property and that it was clear to see that we showed more interest than the previous viewer. We made it known that we were incredibly interested and wasted no time in submitting an offer immediately after viewing; we were prepared to go well above asking price to achieve the sale. What came after this, I did not expect; I was spoken to in an incredibly rude and dismissive manner and was told that the property had been sold to another couple. In our desperation, we urged the agency to put in a higher offer which they reluctantly agreed to do. We then received an email informing us that we were unsuccessful. I rang to ascertain what had happened and was told that it had been sold to a couple who were on their database who had a viewing earlier in the week. We were told not to put any more bids in as going back and forth to the vendors would annoy them. We were so disappointed and saddened by this experience. We really don’t feel that we had a fair shot. Thankfully we have now found our perfect home with a fantastic agency.

Came from London to view a property listed with this agency.
After coming back down from London for a second visit found out from agent that the seller had wanted to list the property at a much higher price, but that the agent had told them to list it at the lower price to attract interest. The sellers minimum price they would accept was actually well above the guide price and our maximum budget, which we had been clear out with the agent from the outset.
The property on Silver Street was going to sell anyway, so there was absolutely no need to waste our time and be misleading.
If being a good estate agent means having to lie to people then it's no wonder no one likes them.

We are so thrilled that we chose to sell with Joanna Tiley. Joanna and her team, Liz, Nicola, Sue, and Louisa, were all absolutely superb and a real joy to deal with. So professional, dedicated, friendly and helpful. I felt confident throughout that we were getting the best possible service in the sale of our home. The photos and brochure for our house were excellent and taken with great care, not to mention the value for money was also excellent.
