Lost out on our dream house because the agents didn’t take any of our details when we requested a viewing. Our viewing was cancelled the day before due to a vendor accepting the first offer on a property. I feel if the vendor had known of our position, our viewing could have gone ahead and we would have made an offer.

We’ve been house-hunting for about 9 months and in the end went with a new build, but felt we still wanted to write a review for Amber Whymark at John Alexander.
We’ve dealt with many estate agents whilst house-hunting, and Amber was by far the most helpful estate agent we’ve dealt with. She was always really responsive and also came to us with regular suggestions throughout the process. Despite not buying though John Alexander this time, we will definitely be going to Amber and the team when we look to sell!

Worse letting agents going, my boiler has been condemned for 2nd year on the trot which means it’s been turned off so I have no hot water etc.
They know about it but when you call to talk to them no one is in office for the day.
How can there be no one to deal with urgent repairs, this is not the 1st time and probably will not be last time.

Called to arrange a viewing and spent quite a while on the phone as they took down an excessive amount of information and tried to sell unwanted services to me. They never confirmed the viewing or called me back. When I called them they were completely unapologetic. This is why online estate agents are growing in popularity.

I have purchased a property through John Alexander with the help of Amber Whymark. Amber was very knowledgable about the property I purchased and knew the area extremely well. I found her to be very professional in her approach and I felt very comfortable in her company, she advised me on the rent ability of the property and any improvements she recommended I should do which I implemented and then asked Amber to advertise the property once I had ownership. We bought our house through John Alexander. The whole process was stressful from start to finish. During the 6 months it took to go through we had no correspondance and were not kept updated. We had to do all the chasing and each time we rang up we spoke to a different member of staff who promised to pass messages on but didn't. When we raised this issue they didn't believe us. We would never use John Alexander again. Be aware.
