If you are a student please do not use this estate agent they will offer you no support or protection at the end of tenancy. Despite being told and recommended that the reposit service would cover us by both the landlord and Jordan fishwick we received charges for cleaning of floors (£38) (they had been cleaned 3 x before leaving) evidence being an image of a dirty cloth, and cleaning of a drain which we were not asked about and the landlord carried out a month before the end tenancy. We disputed these with both parties of the which neither could justify via invoices which were requested multiple times. We also had issues with the landlord entering female tenants bedrooms while they were asleep and given no notice of a visit a complaint not being taken seriously as a violation of privacy and the tenant agreement we were told he should be aware of the rule already in response. I have complained to the university to hopefully prevent this happening to anyone else in the future as taking advantage of young students who don’t have much money is appalling from a so called respected estate agency.... I initially believed I was in a greatly stressful situation trying to arrange my first property after university. However, to my pleasant surprise, liaising with Jordan Fishwick on this matter was smooth and effortless. I have to give a special thanks to Lewis - one of the letting agents there. I could tell he had a lot of time for me and really took care of all my issues quickly. With the housing market being what it is (May 2022), most of the agents we dealt with were so confident of lettings they were interested only in the highest bidder, were bordering on rude, and were inflexible about viewings and other arrangements. This was not the case at all with Jordan Fishwick, who we had an excellent experience with. China, Phoebe and Adam were all very helpful, courteous, and genuinely interested in finding the right tenants it seemed. China in particular gave us an excellent viewing. The only small confusion was over which items of furniture were remaining in the home, but apart from that, everything was crystal clear, and she was so kind and friendly. Overall my experience with Jordan FIshwick was good- I stayed in my property for 2 years and most of my maintenance issues were dealt with and they were always swift in communicating. They were very efficient in getting everything wrapped up after I'd moved out, and helpful allowing cleaners to attend after my contract was up when my initial booking fell through. There was one issue that I felt they could have dealt with better- my back door had rotted and eventually split, and this lead to me feeling that the property was not secure. I reported this and a maintenance man was sent over swiftly to assess the damage but it was not then replaced. This is probably because I was leaving the property soon, and as there was some other bits of less urgent work needing doing I guess they planned to do it all once I'd left. I can see the logic behind this but would have preferred that they'd updated me as to their intentions.... Read more

Poor communication all year, constantly having to chase them up for promises to fix things that didn’t come through. Refused to fix black mould all over a bedroom wall all year, then tried to deduct from our deposit and gave no compensation for the awful condition of the room, then tried to blame us for the state of it. Do not have the tenants best interest at heart, notice how all bad reviews are from largely student tenants and positive reviews being from landlords. Jordan Fishwick have treated their tenants really poorly during the pandemic. They’ve not taken on the government guidelines to give understanding where people have been affected by Covid, particularly vulnerable students. They seem to have no problem collecting rent despite not replying to tenants for months and being unable to ensure the property is in safe and good condition. This includes not completing a safety critical gas check on time. Poor behavior, avoid Jordan Fishwicks.... Read more

Awful towards students tried to take a large chunk of our deposit despite the house being in better condition than when we moved in. Didn’t give us a key to one of the backdoors all year which was definitely a fire safety issue. After a long dispute managed to get the amount of our deposit taken reduced but now they just don’t seem to be sending anything at all despite reassuring us numerous times we would have had it by now and it would be with us in a couple of days... Spoke to them regarding a property. They advised me it wasn't live yet and they were taking info to call back when it was.... Never heard from them and the property is now sold... I rang up to find out how this had happened and it turns out they had made up some info on me that meant I wasnt even considered because I was "too low"... Wierd seeing as they have no idea what I would have been able to offer . I told them they have staff who aren't doing their job properly and i got a very abrupt apologies and goodbye. If I could rate Jordan Fishwick 0 stars I would, 1 star seems terribly generous for such a terrible estate agent. They seem to have no regard or care in the world for any concerns to do with the property you live in. Charging us for damage that was there before we entered the property and when we requested for certain things to be fixed within the property, it would take their ‘team’ sometimes over 4 weeks to get back to us, meaning most of the time we would have to chase them up constantly, which was highly frustrating and uncalled for considering the amount of rent paid each month. Staff were highly unprofessional, unhelpful, ignored emails regarding complaints and overall seemed very unorganised. In short, they don’t seem to care about their customers and so I would advise everyone thinking of joining Fishwick to stear clear of this particular estate agent. It’s no shock that they receive such a terribly low review on average. Good luck to anyone who deals with them in the future, you’ll need it.... Read more
