Very impressed with Lane and Bennetts Letchworth. The small team are friendly and professional and you very much get a personal service. We dealt mostly with Patricia and Michael, it was nice to be interacting with only a couple of people who knew our case well. All of our enquiries and communications were dealt with promptly. We were happy with the price on our sale, which was secured around 2 weeks after putting the property on the market. Our sale went through smoothly, with no issues. Very much recommend.

I recently moved house 222 miles away to NE England. This was during a volatile time in interest rates, Government leadership and lack of confidence in the housing market. Yet through all this the one constant was the commitment of the staff at Lane & Bennett’s of Letchworth, to have a positive outcome of the selling process. From taking details, to publishing brochures, sourcing buyers who had expressed an interest in our type of property or location they left no stone unturned. I felt fully confident that they were doing all they could do to produce a positive experience and outcome for me especially and indeed all concerned. I have no hesitation in recommending this team to the most fastidious of clients as long as you listen to what they are telling you - it is always your decision but you are being given the information to allow you to make an informed decision - from the valuation of your property to the ability of a buyer to complete in the timelines promised. Lane & Bennetts would always be my company of choice.

We were in correspondence with Lane and Bennett's Letchworth regarding a property purchase and the entire experience was poor from start to finish.
Our offer was accepted despite other interested parties. Sadly our buyer pulled out the following day, however we got the house back on the market and new sale agreed less than 1 week later.
The agent promised to call us with an update from the vendor the week prior, however in the background they had sold the property to someone else, keeping us in the dark throughout. Had I have known that the property had been re-sold, I wouldn't have worked so hard to secure another buyer so quickly.
They failed in the most basic function of an agent, to provide updates to the buyer and seller, in this instance they skipped out the buyer entirely.
I wouldnt consider using their services in the future.

I was recently upset by a very rude experience with one of Lane and Bennetts agents (who claimed to be a partner). As he swanned around my house, as though it were his and not mine, he made flippant and rude remarks.
At one point he pulled a camera from his bag and without any indication just said: "Get out of the way, mate". This for him taking a photo in my house without him even being invited to do so.
Once we received the valuation he placed on the house it was quite clear that he didn't know the area and was not really aware of a property's true value. We had many other valuations and his was over 15% away from what the average of the others were.
Despite his appalling attitude his suggested fee was the most of any agent we spoke to.
My advice would to be very wary about using Lane and Bennett, especially in the North Hertfordshire region.
