Having been let down by one of the competitors, I was wary of all agents but Aaron was extremely helpful and gave me new hope that I would sell! I I had to move back to Wales before the sale and Aaron was great at popping around to check on things the buyer wanted to know. Extremely helpful and a great communicator who kept me in touch at all stages and gave me great advice (even on my purchase property which was nothing g to do with Connells). Fantastic service and support from Aaron in particular but the whole team were great. Would strongly recommend!

Every time our viewing rate dropped they asked us to drop the price. We'd already dropped it twice and they were asking us to drop it again.
They completely missed parts of the property off the advert and weren't willing to update the advert or update the photos in spring when the garden looked much better

Our situation was slightly unusual but Michael's knowledge and the advice he gave us were both excellent and ensured we applied for (and obtained) the right mortage for our situation. Having been looking for a typical garden city property for months, one was advertised with Connells that had the potential to be our dream home. I called on three occasions, however Connells were extremely poor at returning calls and organising viewings despite us giving them several times and dates. The only response I got regarding the property was after 48 hours. Instead, they seemed more focused on pushing other properties that we were not interested in than about the property we were genuinely interested in (which has now sold). Will not be returning.

I had a bumpy start to my buying process, having to pull out of an initial purchase of a property through connells. I'd already started the mortgage process with Michael and although I ended up purchasing a property through an alternative estate agents, it was very straightforward arranging the Mortgage with Michael. I cannot thank him enough for his honesty, clarity and help throughout the whole buying process. He was always happy to answer any questions I had or explain anything (to do with the whole buying process and not just the mortgage), as a first time buyer it can be very daunting doing it all on your own but Michael made it that much easier and less scary. Although I didn't purchase a property through connells, the staff at connells letchworth were always very nice and helpful when I have spoken with them. 100% recommended arranging a mortgage with Michael.

Craig P and his team have been brilliant throughout the process of buying and selling in the Hertfordshire area. From the moment Craig valued our flat, he was open, honest and gave us helpful suggestions for selling, as well as useful advice about the market conditions. The team are incredibly proactive with both buying and selling and it was reassuring to know that all elements were considered. There was some pressure to use Connells mortgage advisor, which was the only downside.
Overall we found it to be a smooth experience with a professional and proactive team. We'd highly recommend using them for buying and selling in the future.

I would highly recommend Craig as he is a very friendly, professional and knowledgeable agent with a clear passion for his work. Everyone from Connells Letchworth have been absolutely heroic through our mission to join the property ladder, in particular Imojen. Imojen spent many hours taking my phone calls, I'm sure to her frustration of hearing my voice daily over so many months, but throughout she has been so bright, bubbly, and helpful, and was often the only hope we had.
The process has been long and strained, but to no fault of the estate agents, and in fact without them, I wouldn't have been hopeful to move in this year.
Michael was extremely helpful at the beginning of our journey for financial advice, and Craig helped pick up the pieces when we hit strife.
We are now life long members of the Connells club, and plan to use them in the future for all our house needs, especially if Imojen is involved!

I’m really pleased with Connells and team in Letchworth.
This is my third time selling a property and by far the least stressful.
Firstly, lovely Jodie came out to visit me and speak to me about the value of my property and came up with a plan to sell it. I had five estate agents for valuations and I knew from meeting Jodie that she was who I was going to use (she was first through the door)!
Secondly had my photos taken which were fantastic and sold the house in the first week of being online!
Lastly I had help from Imogen and Craig with the solicitors and progressing the sale. It was fast and efficient and strangely not stressful at all.

What can I say about these guys!!! This agent is the real deal! I had my reservations about using these guys selling my house due to being a small company, boy was I wrong!!! The lads are hardworking and work tirelessly throughout the process.
The sales manager Tyrone is an absolute star and helped us throughout the selling process, he came to my house and we had an in depth chat about marketing my property, came around the next day to take photos and get it online same day. Within two days I had 4 viewings and an asking price offer.
Tyrone then helped me pick a solicitors who also worked hard with no problems at all.
I would definitely recommend using connells, they are not pushy at all like some local agents I know! These guys are your guys if you are looking to sell!! Thanks a lot keep up the good work.

Brilliant service from everyone in Branch. We used Michael as a broker who helped us navigate a tricky situation with my self-employment and managed to secure us the amount we needed to borrow without issue.
Imogen was our main point of contact, who always kept in regular communication with us and made sure we were aware of all developments. She and Jodie always answered the phone or called us back and were always a ray of sunshine.

We had a very drawn out sale due to a few factors but Connells were amazing throughout the whole process. Jodie was the first contact we had with Connells. She was so upbeat and really made us feel confident about their experience and services they offer. She is always a delight to speak too. Imogen was a good point of contact too. It was so lovely to speak to Imogen when needed as she was always so enthusiastic and encouraging.
Craig dealt with us after we had our buyer. His communication was great. He was always so professional but really friendly when we called for updates. We had to do a lot of chasing of our solicitors and Craig helped us with that. He made sure we knew what was happening within the chain too. We have recently sold our house with Connells in Letchworth and it couldn't have been easier.
From the first call with Craig (who sold us the house a few years before), to Jodie coming out to value the house and putting the initial steps into motion and last but definitely not least Imogen who took on all of the file for the final steps. Everything for us was seamless and all staff were fantastic and really looked after us.
My wife had several panics throughout the selling process and Imogen did incredibly to explain the processes and took so much away from us so we didn't need to worry and we are now in our new house. If only we could say the same of the agents we purchased from....

After you put an offer in with Connells Letchworth, they'll tell you you need to go through an "affordability check" even if you already have an AIP in place, really this is just a ploy for them to try and sell you a mortgage, we spent almost two hours on the phone with Michael Cole, 20 minutes of this was the affordability check, and despite telling him we already had a mortgage broker in place, he insisted on running through their options.
He 'assumed the sale' towards the end of the call, and tried to push us towards a specific mortgage deal, when we told him we had the same deal through our own broker he stated:
"If you're not using our mortgage services there is a chance the vendor won't accept your offer, and they may go with someone else, even if their offer is less, because they may want everything done in house, if you don't use us you may risk losing the property"
Implying / insinuating that we could lose the house if we didn't use their service, and pay their £500 mortgage services fee, is a load of codswallop, don't feel pressured by them, don't fall for it. Shop around, find the best deal.

Imogen and Jodie are both a complete bundle of joy and nothing is never an issue for them and what ever they say they’ll do they do! Criag is very professional and knowledgeable and tells you exactly how it is.
When I had viewings with the current situation the team went out of their way to make me feel safe and secure making sure everyone that entered my house wore the correct PPE and anything that had been touched was sanitised

Awful experience. Business focused on sales, but not on customer's needs. Once they signed us up, they rushed the sale, repeatedly told us 'we can't guarantee we'll secure you another buyer' when we rejected the very first one. The plan was to have an open house event, this never happened. Once we accepted, we had to chase and chase and chase and chase forever and a day before we got a reply from our own agent. They would only ask the buyers for updates after numerous and desperate pleas from us. When we asked them to push back with the buyers on a further delayed completion date, Connells manager replied straight back pushing for the buyers' dates, although they were clearly meant to represent us and our interests in the process. We got delayed by a month at great expense and inconvenience mainly because of Connells' sheer incompetence and lack of customer service. It was disappointing beyond belief.

We ended up advertising our house with Connells and the brilliant service continued. The level of performance from your branch in Letchworth Garden City is probably the worst I have ever experienced.
My property was already marketed with another agent at 1% commission they offered to market our property at 0.75% - I though OK if they are that eager then give them the chance - nothing to loose.
Once we accepted an offer from one of their clients which due to our family circumstance was £15k under the marketed value, the contact from the LWG office fell off a cliff.
I had to chase them for updates. I asked them to find out why our Buyer was delaying the exchange dates. They said they would get back to me but I was simply ignored.
The sensitivity and communication skills of this office are zero - I was phoned by the agency on my return from major surgery even though I had informed them specifically that all calls should be made to my wife until further notice.
Do not use this agency - it is proving to be probably the worst agency I have ever dealt with.

Every time I called to speak to someone they were either busy on the phone or out and would never get back to you when they said they would. Almost lost out on the house due to their incompetence. Avoid connells if you are selling a house and then it will save us all from having to use them.

I would have given negative stars if it would had allowed me. Recently sold my property in Letchworth through Wilson Peacock, but part of my chain was "managed" by Connells. What i can say is try to avoid them. They are a bunch of useless individuals from the branch manager Glenn all the way to down to Naidine (or whatever her name was). They didn't even bother chasing the solicitors on the sale and everyone in the chain have been chasing Paul from Wilson Peacock to get updates, even though they had sold through Connells. Their lack of responsivenss and committment had lost everyone in the chain at least 1 month. Will NEVER use them and stay AWAY from them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
