Unfortunately lime green bought out the company I had started my private let with and since then they have been useless, the staff are rude and blame contractors for jobs needing repaired. My issue was raised in January and still not corrected. More than happy to take the rent each month, not so keen to do anything else. I am a landlord with only one property. When I made the decision to rent a property many of my friends told me to handle it all myself. "Don't waste money paying an agent" was the usual advice. Well, I ignored them and went to (then) Murphy & Scoular in Kilmarnock. The service I received was exactly what I had hoped for. I had the idea that they would allow me to "let and forget" and while that maybe wasn't completely true it was as close as possible. They handled everything for me - paperwork, advertising, legal stuff, safety checks, contracts, vetting tenants, cleaning etc. Yes, there's a cost but they quickly demonstrated that it was absolutely worth it. When Murphy & Scoular were bought over by Limegreen, I of course worried that things would deteriorate. I was delighted that they kept the same staff and the service is every bit as good as it always was. They have been a great help over the years. If you're reading this and wondering whether to take on an agent, then have a read at all the Government Regulations that are in place re renting and get yourself to Limegreen!... Read more

My property was previously on with another agent who was hard to get hold of and worked minimal hours, the property was transferred to limegreen from this agent with only an email stating it had taken place, obviously a bit of a surprise this had happened but was a move that was most satisfactory as limegreen is professional, know what they are doing and importantly at the end of the phone if I need to speak to them!
