If I could leave no stars, I would. Very disappointing experience as buyers. We were encouraged on multiple occasions to increase our offers, only to be told much later that the seller was not actually in a position to proceed as they had not found anywhere to move to. Had this been made clear from the outset, we would never have increased our bids. Communication was inconsistent throughout, with long delays and changing explanations about the seller’s situation. We did not receive timely written confirmation of our offers or the seller’s responses, and only received a retrospective summary after repeatedly requesting clarity. Being pushed to increase our offer several times, only to later discover that the seller could not move forward, left us feeling that the process was driven by price rather than transparency. This lack of clarity and honesty caused unnecessary stress and ultimately led us to withdraw. We would strongly advise other buyers to ensure everything is confirmed in writing from the very beginning.... Read more

All the team at Magenta are incredibly friendly and helpful and professional. My late mother sold her house and purchased a new one both through Magenta and currently it is rented out again through Magenta who fully manage the property. Everything runs like clockwork and any queries are dealt with very promptly.I wouldn’t go with any other Estate Agent other than Magenta. I feel relaxed in the knowledge that my property is in good hands. My dealings have been with Julia, Matthew and Mikaela and all three are such lovely people. Can’t recommend highly enough!... I’ve moved from the enquiry stage to a happy landlord over the last 6 months Sep 20 - Feb 21 . Daniel Willoughby has been my main contact from the start of the process of approaching Magenta about renting out my Father’s house in Raunds. We contacted several agents in the area but chose Magenta because of the first impression given by Daniel. Throughout what was quite a difficult process (given my Father had to move into care) Daniel has been friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the local market. The house wasn’t immediately rentable but Daniel’s advice allowed us to quickly and cost effectively maximise rentability and return. Daniel helped us with contacts for the work required and acted as an intermediary in the work given I’m located in Yorkshire. His communication has been excellent and he has a natural unflappable approach which is really important in what is a stressful part of life. I would wholeheartedly recommend Daniel and Magenta.... I was interested in a property in Raunds and enquired as to why so many properties were currently on the market in that particular street and one over. The agent gave me fluffy reasons. After speaking to someone who lives next door to two of the properties it turns out many of the people are moving due to severe flooding on the street and the development of hundreds of houses and light industry! So glad I had this conversation otherwise I would have put an offer in for one of the properties and been none the wiser... Read more

Had quite a few issues when purchasing a house, was told the roof would last 30 more years but discovered it was in urgent need of repairs and complete renewal within the next 10 years. Discovered there was 203 houses, a care home, a nursery and warehouses being built on the field across the road. It took 4 weeks to get an answer to my question and in that time I found a new house so the sale collapsed on the original. When I pulled out of the house sale I didn’t even get a response. The house is back on the market and the description still suggests the roof will last 30 more years when it absolutely will not so will be a nasty surprise for whoever buys the house. It’s no surprise the house has been on the market for over 2 years when the truth can’t be told on it.... Read more

We first came into contact with Magenta about 11 years ago when we bought our house through them. They were always very polite and helpful on the phone, processed the sale quickly and professionally and made it a very easy transaction. When we decided it was time to move on, I called Nigel to come and value our house. He was polite, punctual, helpful and very knowledgeable. He explained why he had valued our house as he had. When we instructed Magenta to sell our property, Matthew came round to take the photos and to familiarise himself with the property and Julia came at another time, to make sure they could do the best job they could for us. We had quite a few viewings, which was great and the team were always hot on the trail of feedback. They made sure they knew the position of prospective buyers and were super efficient. Once we had an offer, Nigel did his utmost and with a little to and froing got us an excellent price. He was then hot on the trail of the solicitors and other agents to make sure the chain was all complete and chase it all through.
