Mallinson were our sellers’ agent and wow they were so proactive and helpful at every stage. I virtually had them on speed dial because they were working hard to liaise between our agents and myself. (There was poor communication from our solicitors and we all had to push to get the sale completed.) Also love from my brothers in law who ended up besieging the office at 5pm waiting for the money to go through and let us have the keys! They said you were brilliant too! Was with Mallinson for over 3 months..numerous issues with brochure, advertising (had picture of my dining suite when scanning through on line NOT the actual property!?), very poor communications, only one viewing in whole period. Changed to Simon Blyth , excellent, efficient service, 3 days whole process- viewings booked immediately and sold on first viewing within days ! Says it all.

From the initial review of the property with Ben who gave us the highest valuation out of other estate agents in the area, he was very knowledgeable about the area and had clearly done his research beforehand. Unfortunately wasted our time with these people. Enquired about selling our 6 bed detached in Upper Cumberworth, and viewing some smaller properties in the Penistone area. We scheduled a valuation appointment, but no one showed up after waiting in for 2 hours. When we called the office we were told they had 'forgotten' to book it in, without apology. We stupidly thought it may be a one off, so again contacted the office for some potential properties we were interested in and another valuation appointment, but then no response, no answers to ours calls and ignored voicemails. Ended up taking our business elsewhere to a professional estate agent in the Penistone area. Avoid.

Very poor how iam being totally ignored after using the removal company Thomas Masters on personal recommendation through this estate agents and it wasn't cheap at £1,000. Unfortunately as part of the removal process I had damage to my TV with the screen cracked in several places. I have left countless messages for the lady who recommended I use Thomas Masters Removals as they do not want to take any ownership for the damage incurred or claim off their insurance cover. No one at Mallinsons and Co wants to know which is very poor considering what has happened here and the number of messages I have left to ask for their assistance in this matter.

The staff were great, very helpful, and kept in touch via email and phone throughout the sale (and post sale, which was very nice). Slight issue finding the entrance to the premises, which is tucked behind the back of the street, but other than that, great service all round. They even gave us a little house warming hamper, which was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend!

Mallinson and Co were the estate agents of the house we were buying. The initial interaction with them was not so professional and a bit patronising. The way in which we were questioned to prove to them that we were able to afford the property was extremely unprofessional.
Throughout the sale, Mallinson and Co did not seem that interested and it felt that everything was in the sellers favour (I appreciate that the seller has instructed them) but I believe an estate agent should stay or try to stay impartial.
We instructed a surveyor to conduct a home survey on the house and this caused several comments to be made by the estate agent themselves and giving their opinion on the comments made by the survey report and stating that the surveyor was being too detailed. This was extremely unprofessional.
Towards the end of the sale, the communication from the estate agent was poor. We had to send multiple emails/texts until it came to a point where we had to contact the office manager who rightfully provided the service we expected. The 3 stars are due to the office manager understanding our issues and then rectifying these and asking our point of contact to be in touch with us.
There was a nice touch from the estate agents at the sale of the house with a small hamper of gifts.
Following the sale of our house, we have contacted the estate agent again with some queries and these have been ignored yet again.
Overall, I would not recommend Mallinson & Co to anyone considering a house sale.

I used to come here 30 plus years ago, when Tolo owned the place, what an atmosphere it used to havep!
Anyway, the place was very busy and lively when we hot washed in because of the torrential rain!
We only had a beer (4.5 euros each) , however the food looked dood so we plan to go back.
There are loads of different cycling memorabilia, especially Wiggos TT bike!
So for cyclists it's a must.

Absolutely shocking service whilst trying to buy a house. I’m surprised at how many good reviews there are on here as we’ve been messed around and passed between agents from start to finish. Majority of communication was through email and even text messages, with agents refusing to answer our calls and communicate with us. We were told many things that weren’t true and we’re lied to in the process. Feel very blindsided by this company and I wouldn’t recommend buying a house through them to anyone.
