I have found all the team who I dealt with (Marcus, Richard and Carla) at Marcus Aldersons fantastic except for Rosie. She was just exceptional, and the sale being a challenging one had the patience of a saint and went above and beyond to get the sale over the line. I cannot recommend them all highly enough. Great experience with Marcus Aldersons Estate Agents. Girls in office, mainly Rosie and Carla kept us up to date with everything and gave us reassurance when we needed it.
Marcus great with his drone and did some fantastic pictures for the sale of our late mother's property.
Wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

From the start, I knew the sale of my fathers bungalow was going to be very difficult - shared ownership with a housing organisation and so it proved. Despite this Carla and Rosie really did their utmost to make the sale a success and after over 12 months, they succeeded. During the intervening period both displayed a very personal, yet wholly professional approach. Communication was excellent and very accurate. Lots of advice from their vast wealth of knowledge was imparted plus lots of sales tips. Without sounding patronising, Richard, Carla and Rosie were absolutely fantastic. From the moment I walked through the door. They knew all the pitfalls, yet were so enthusiastic and persisted to the conclusion of the sale. Thank You!

Marcus Alderson and team have been absolutely amazing from start to finish with my house but (although not complete yet) Rosie in particular has been outstanding going above and beyond to help with the tough challenges we have come up against. Highly recommend. From start to finish the team were fabulous. Everything they promised they delivered. They sold our house with in days and made the process extremely easy to cope with. The girls even helped us find a rental property to live in until our next move was ready.

ABSOLUTE JOKE FROM START TO FINISH!
We got a valuation from all local estate agents but decided to go with Alderson’s as they offered us 10% discount, and they sold the property to us 4 years ago. Our house was a section 106 property with the market value - 20%
Richard came and took photos of the house however these looked nothing like the rooms in my property so I had to send in photos of my own.
2 viewings booked for the same night hosted by myself 1 couple left after a 2 hour viewing who then decided to put an offer in first week in April. By the end of May still heard nothing Aldersons! No one kept in touch and I had to ring them for regular updates. Asked if the couple had a mortgage approved to which Aldersons told me ‘yes’ to then find out by my solicitor in June the couple did not have a mortgage approved!! At this point we decided to put the house back on the market. 2 weeks in and I receive a letter through the door from a young local couple telling me they phoned asking for a viewing and Alderson’s told them it was sold! This couple was also offering over the asking price, but Alderson’s told us nothing and refuses anything to do with this even though I have it in writing. Carla has been the main point of contact for us and honestly couldn’t have had anyone worse she is rude, arrogant and abrupt!!
At the end of June we were told the first couple who viewed the house now had a mortgage. Whilst waiting for this to come through my washing machine broke and I replaced it with a new one. When I told my solicitor I would be taking it with me he said I couldn’t because Alderson’s had sold all my white goods with the property.
After speaking to Alderson’s they said they took it on face value that they had to be sold with the property as it’s under a 106. I spoke to planning at RDC and they told me this was utter rubbish, it is about the house not the contents and they should not have been added without my say so. Basically Alderson’s did not have a clue what they were selling/how to sell my property.
Finally on the 7th October we were ready to exchange contracts and received an invoice from Alderson’s with no 10% discount added as promised. When questioned to Marcus personally he was only willing to give 0.9%. Marcus did however contribute £200 towards my sold white goods, but obviously this won’t replace them all! Spoke to my solicitor at 10am by 10:15 Carla was on the phone demanding keys to the property, when I explained my solicitor told me keys can be handed over at 12 she then raised her voice telling me I’m in breach of contract, when I spoke to my solicitor this was not true.
A Very stressful time which Alderson’s made 10x worse with the constant lies and rudeness from staff!

We bought our house through Aldersons 12 years ago and didn’t hesitate to use them to sell it for us when we decided to move again earlier this year. The team are, without exception, friendly, helpful and efficient. There is always someone available and ready to help. They are positive, calm, reassuring - an oasis of calm efficiency at a very stressful time. We would certainly recommend Aldersons to anyone looking to sell.

If you have the opportunity of being shown a property by Richard Thompson take it. He's a "unicorn" in the world of estate agents: charming, affable, authentic, decent and, it seemed to me and my partner, trying to do the right thing by vendor, prospective purchaser and his company. Not an easy trick to pull off.

An early sale fell through due to lockdown but they remained committed and kept us informed.

Avoid where you can,
Moved out a property, this estate agent use an outside company to conduct inventories. The inventory company did NOT correspond with the move in report for the vacate report. I was accused of breaking a toilet amongst many other things that were wrong when we moved in (like weeds in the garden ???????????). The estate agent (Carla Sweete) even attended the property to send a video to my landlord of the toilet not working. However she missed that I was instructed to turn the water off and failed to check if turning the water on would flush the toilet. I would have expected a qualified estate agent to check this. A two hour drive after leaving the property with two young children was required to assist a plumber to turn the water on and prove it flushed. Did not receive an apology from Carla either and to top it off all correspondence stopped from her once I’d proved I hadn’t broken the toilet, despite several emails sent, she ignored them all. Absolutely will never use this agent again.

After explaining my situation they were very helpful in pointing me in the right direction. Also pointing me to other people who I could try. I am very happy with the service I received hear I would highly recommend this estate agents

I used Marcus Alderson a few years ago to let a flat in Richmond and was very pleased with the speed that they let the flat having been marketing with another agent with no success. Marcus & Carla have just let another flat in Richmond for me and once again the service has been first class. Nothing ever seems too much trouble and the service is second to none. I would not even consider using another agent in the town.

I cannot speak highly enough of Marcus and his team. From the very first engagement their level of communication and Customer Service has been first class. The initial buyers they found unfortunately pulled out at the last minute, but Alderson's found secured us a second buyer within weeks. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

AVOID I have used many estate agents and never received such an appalling service. Carla sweaty is bad mannered and aggressive and totally incompetent at her job. He bought a buyer to view our property she put in an offer but we said she would need a sale agreed on her property for us to accept Marcus needed our bungalow as there was no other bungalow in that price bracket for the buyer.We had very few viewing but always seemed to get one if I contacted them to ask if there had been any interest. We move estate agents and got far more viewings then Marcus contacted us to say the buyer now had an offer on her property And basicly begged us to accept her offer he said it would be a water tight chain of 4 property’s all through him this was not water tight he simply used our property until another bungalow came on to the market with him. Other members of staff think more of messing about with there friends and drinking coffee in the office than adhering to covid 19 rules completely disgusting

We used Aldersons to sell our property, they were brilliant from the start. They very promptly came out to do the pictures and plans and the house was advertised within 2 days. The house sold in 4 weeks and we had lots of viewings throughout that time.
Would definitely recommend and use in the future and were very accommodating with a flexible contract due to lack of suitable houses to buy in the area.
We paid everything once the house sale had gone through and there were no hidden costs.
