If you can avoid renting in Windsor with Marshalls then avoid - go with Hamptons or Romans instead. In my experience, they have poor response times and etiquette when dealing with maintenance issues, are unorganised when it comes to renewals and rip you off when it comes to end of tenancy. They don't have the tools or processes in place to effectively manage rental properties for tenants and generally only "show up" when it's in their interest.

The most unpleasant experience so far. After showing the property the stuff was unresponsive and unhelpful and they chose to completely ignore any calls and emails. Save yourself the trouble and avoid Marshalls Property company. Fortunately, there are many other options around.

This company does not maintain its properties.
All the visits I made had something broken.
If landlord is in foreign country, 'manage' = take rent but avoid any repairs, and blame the landlord (while refusing to give his details).
Heaters were broken on move in date, took them 10 days to provide electrical ones (3... and one was also broken!). Despite this and flat kept at decent temperature, flat was inhabitable because of mould. Very heavy stench after carpet clean on move-in date and mould in hidden areas etc. Neighbours complain about similar dampness issues, so might be the building. Let's be generous and call it bad luck thus far.
However, not when property administrator refuses every single amend and is clearly difficult & unwilling every stage of the way. Not when wall heaters are not fixed during two months, nor windows not closing properly, when joints are mouldy, or subtle paint patches (to cover mould) are discovered all over the walls. Obviously visit was done when previous tenants were there and all was very well hidden under frames and behind furniture. So well presented and invisible in fact that I even put down an additional £100/m in my initial offer... certainly won't do that again. Two horrific months of stress and emails. If I didn't have anything better to do, I would probably sue them.
Ask more fees from your landlords for maintenance - and don't put these properties on the market until they've done the work. FFS.
Only explanation to all the above is this company has money issues. At best. This is no excuse for not respecting the law. If unwilling, they should be fined heavily. The way they handled this situation was appalling. Avoid at all costs.

Our tenanted property was out of gas supply and after hours of trying ourselves we called Marshall's in desperate need, with no hot water or heating. When looking for a new property to rent my partner and I wanted to go with a small, family letting agent compared to the larger property business and are delighted that we did.
From the initial viewing with Kevin, to completing all the relevant documents/checks with Carla, the whole process has been really straightforward and simple, everything was explained clearly and thoroughly. The whole team are approachable and listened to any questions/concerns we had.
During the referencing/check stage, we were kept up to date regularly and notified when everything was complete, which was extremely quick.
When we received the keys and had the check-in for the property, we had a chance to address any issues we had. Carla was able to address these immediately, using their team of local contractors. All of whom were professional and friendly and their work was outstanding.
We would highly recommend using Marshalls, their professionalism and friendliness really made the difference in deciding to rent a property through them and we would definitely use them again in the future.

We recently moved down from London to WIndsor. We found a property right near the town centre, which MPS manages. Unfortunately, the previous tenant was a difficult one and left the property in poor order. Although I would have expected MPS to ensure the property was in good order before moving in, they were very quick to arrange sorting everything out to our standards. This has made the experience a much more positive one. Carla was great in this regard, and highly recommend her personable and understanding nature.

I wanted to write a review for Marshalls, because if anyone has a choice for Rental Management, they should choose Marshalls. Everything is timely and done to a high standard - I had no worries about my tenant and my flat being looked after.
Marshalls are also the Management Company for my whole block of flats, and one of the reasons I have had my flat for 15 years, is that the block is well looked after by Marshalls, and kept up to date.
I have heard of some horror stories of Management Companies for flats, but I can only highly recommend Marshalls - and would advise any flat complexes to use Marshalls, if you want your home to be maintained to a good standard for reasonable rate.

In Sept 2020, we decided to sell the property. We decided to put the sale with Marshalls because of the excellent service we had had from their lettings side. And am pleased to say we were not disappointed. If only all companies could offer the same level of service property transacting would be a whole lot less stressful. Kevin Morley handled the sale and was ultra professional, courteous and attentive to both us and our buyer; keeping both well informed throughout the whole process and acting as the perfect liaison between us. My husband and I rented a property in Windsor with Marshalls for just over 4 years, and we found all of their staff to be professional, polite, and responsive. They were very prompt at resolving any issues that cropped up in our long let, and made property checks, boiler services etc. super easy to organise. When it came to leaving the property, they were very flexible with dates and the notice period, and more than fair in terms of the final inventory and deposit. Plus they recommended services in the local area, such as cleaners and chimney sweeps, who did an excellent job. We would highly recommend them.

Worst experience ever!! Caused me so much stress and unnecessary cost. They rented me a flat UNFURNISHED, at check- in it was furnished! They said they could do nothing about it as landlord refusing to move furniture and it was there mistake to rent it to me Unfurnished. I had to pay out for storage cost for all my furniture, B & B cost, double moving cost, plus I can not tell you the stress it has caused. Do you think they have called to help or offered any kind of compensation for their mistake, NO they haven’t. Really bad service. Wanted to post with no stars but it will not let me.

Marshalls managed a rental property for me for 15 years and the service was consistently excellent, particularly when selecting good tenants and in looking after maintenance issues promptly and cost-effectively. I recently sold the property and their sales manager Matt L'Estrange did a great job in finding a buyer at my asking price within a few weeks. However what has impressed me most has been his management of the sale and constant calls to all involved to keep the sale moving forwards despite several problems. Without his personal tenacity and commitment to seeing it through to a successful conclusion I don't think the sale would have gone through. I'd recommend him to anyone wanting to sell a property in the Windsor area.

We sold our house through Marshalls (Windsor) in early 2015. Our family was given a careful timely and hands-on service by Marshalls. Matthew L'Estrange was our main agent who spent much time, also over evenings and a couple of weekends, in helping us to navigate between a number of complicated offers, pending offers and one collapse in an offer. He was excellent. In addition, the combination of website, glossy brochure and newspaper advertising worked for us. We were also able to update new photos. Very happy to recommend them.
