Glenn was beyond fantastic and no words could ever thank him, for how much he has helped me through the buying and selling process. I had no idea what I was doing, all while trying to juggle a full time job and obstacle seemed to just pop up one after the other during the process. But Glenn was always the first one on the phone updating me, explaining what things meant and guiding me through what I needed to do; while pushing the other so called "professionals parties" in the background. Even with the selling side of my house, when neither my solicitors nor Your Move the other estate agent were bothering to help and in fact, providing me with wrong information and messing me around more often than not. Glenn even went above and beyond when I gained access to the new property and there was an issue with the plumbing. He came round after work to help me out! Honestly regardless of whether you are selling your house or buying, go to Martin's Estates. Could not fault them one bit. Thank you so much Glenn! See you again in a few years ????... Read more

I have been with Glenn and his team at Martins for nearly ten years. I first bought a property to rent out in 2015. Glenn found me a tenant straight away and quickly found me two subsequent tenants over the following years. When the latest tenant served notice I spoke with Glenn about selling the property. He found me a buyer within days although, it was sadly a drawn out affair and we did get across the line. Without Martins support and particularly Glenn I don’t think completion would still have happened. Glenn not only did the necessary work for me as the seller, he also did a lot of work for my buyer despite the fact she was with another agent. Thanks for the last ten years it’s all appreciated.... They have been incredibly responsive and helpful both with the normal, everyday matters (window cleaning, keeping the common areas clean, maintaining the building in good order), but Michelle Wood, the Accounts Manager, in particular has gone above and beyond to help out with issues other than the everyday ones. I thought the back and forth emails could've been avoid with a simple phone call, and the lack of knowledge of the agent about who needs and who doesn't need a passport to rent in the UK was really not nice, I found strange that the agent asked me for a copy of mine and daughter's passport before letting me know if I had been accepted to go through the checks, I never had any agent doing that before I never heard that agents ask for a copy of the passports even before the person been accepted for further checks, this is not right, plus I had the impression that the landlord made his or her decision whether to accept us or not based on our nationality and to me this sounded really off.... I lived in one of there house shares for just under a year. On arrival the bed was broken, so i ended up having to sleep on a mattress on the floor, it took months before they finally arranged a new bed. Asked for the landlords details as i wasn't getting any help from the agency, they refused to give me her details saying they deal with the property (the landlord used to work for them). I went to citizens advice who informed me that legally they have to give her details if requested (which they never did) I eventually found her details on my own and had to message her work email (after being advised to do this by citizens advice). Any issue would either take months to resolve, or not be resolved at all. Multiple lights in communal areas didn't work for the duration of living there, including one on the stairs. The mould on the stairs was ignored. Multiple times there was no gas or electric due to building work at the shop below which meant me and other flatmates had to stay with family or relatives over night. The bedroom window wouldn't open due to part of the sealant coming off and jamming it shut, which was finally fixed shortly before moving out. I asked them to come fix the desk that was in the room because it was unstable, their response was that it was left there by a previous tenant so they wouldn't be able to do anything. Yet they charge you for removal if anything is left. The carpet had two iron burn marks, which i found after moving the bed to a different wall. The curtains had multiple cigarette burns. They left a broken lamp rather than removing. The main issue was the deposit. My deposit was £576, i only received £206 back. They charged for a damaged bed (which was not caused by me) . A damaged fire door (that was damaged before moving in, they just never fixed it) . When i moved out they deducted £200 for "rubbish clearance", the rubbish was outside of the property and belonged to the tanning salon underneath the flat. I asked for pictures 3 times, the first time they ignored that part of the email and only replied to the rest of it. The second time i asked they said if i don't agree with the deductions appeal the decision. The third time i asked for pictures of the "rubbish" the email was completely ignored. Even despite the rubbish being outside the property and clearly from the salon. Avoid at all costs. Before moving in and immediately after they were very nice and helpful. After that they couldn't care less.... Read more

Worst agency ever,by far...to bad I cannot give them half a star.DO NOT Use this agency if u are planning to rent.i wanted to move in a flat...everything was ok , she told us that it’s 100% ours ..then they called me and told me that the lanllord has this polish guy that it’s looking for tenants,and he promise the flat to someone else(this after I paid 250£ to make sure it s mine)...so they told me this story...now...the tenant who was living in the flat that i wanted to move in , was a friend of mine....they told him that i m not interested in the flat anymore ???????????? . Poor I would expect more from an estate agent - I have sent multiple emails and phoned several times about viewing a property that is on the market with them. The Property on Western Gardens in Willesborough and has been marketed by the company since early Feb. They have failed to follow up on a lead. As a vendor I would be extremely disappointed with this company and wouldn't feel they are doing everything to sell my property. I have now given up trying to arrange a viewing with this property as they obviously don't want to sell it. - As of 10:13 this morning it was still on the market. Very poor!... Read more
