AVOID! both as a tenant and as a landlord.
I'm a tenant in a property under their portfolio, I'm facing severe lack of communication and total lack of integrity.
I'm in the unfortunate situation of desperately needing to move out early due to personal health reasons. I can't move out until Maskells finds a replacement tenant.
Their approach has been to try and profit from the situation, which I personally find morally wrong.
Rather than trying to replace me, they are putting an out of the market price to try and squeeze extra pounds of commission without any risk, as the property is not vacant.
Communication related to the process has also been lacking and not transparent.
Tenants: you are better off with some other agencies.
Landlords: find someone with integrity to manage your properties.

Maskells is my "go-to" estate agency in London! I have dealt with sales (Jamie) and lettings (Peter) - both are equally responsive, professional, polite and straightforward (a rare pearl in the property world)! They always take time to do a highly thorough and professional job. I have referred Maskells to friends and colleagues and the feedback has always reflected my own experience. They stand out head and shoulders about the competition!

Stellar customer service. The agents are extremely helpful and will answer to any enquiry within minutes. Especially memorable was the occasion I managed to lock myself out of my apartment on a cold Sunday evening of all times. Even though this is above and beyond what anyone would consider business hours, my agent Alex took it upon himself to make the 30-minute trip to my apartment and help me get back in. Naturally he did not expect to be compensated for this, illustrating Maskells' exceptional standards when it comes to customer service.

Just let a new flat in Chelsea through Maskells under most difficult circumstances (current landlord must sell the flat, we must vacate in 60 days, we are not even in the UK at present, etc, etc), but fortunately we worked with the brilliant and lovely Poppy Thompson, and could not have been more pleased with the service we have received from Poppy all the way through the lettings process! Always pleasant, always professional, simply delightful every conversation. And most important---she truly made us feel that our search and our needs were important to her!

Poppy is the best agent I have worked with throughout years of living in London. Maskells is great at reading the client and going above and beyond their call of duty to find you you're dream flat. I could count on Poppy to use all her many connections in the Greater London area to provide me with the best of the best. Even more, Maskells doesn't carry the same uppity attitude you can find with a lot of estate agents in London that try to express that they know better as they have been in real estate x amount of time. Could not recommend Poppy at Maskells more highly in finding you the best fit property !
