We have just had a building survey by Ben and Monk & Partners. We have been absolutely delighted with the service they have given us. We were blown away by the quality of the report, it was so detailed and personal. Clearly a lot of time and effort was spent on this, the photos were fantastic and the actual report was of such high-quality. I then followed the report up with some questions and Ben spent a lot of time talking me through everything. Would highly recommend to anyone and would definitely use Ben again in the future. We were very happy with work by Monk & Partners. We instructed them to undertake a 'Level 3 Buildings Survey' for a house purchase. Our surveyor, Ben Snowdon, was recommended by our solicitor. Ben did a very thorough job and wrote up a clear and detailed survey giving us the information and advice that we needed to make an informed decision about our purchase. Ben's survey has also given us clear information to help us develop a repairs and maintenance schedule. Monk and Partners Office Manager, Charlotte (Charlie) Higgins, provided us with warm and efficient administrative help throughout the process. Very disappointed with the after sales service from this company, having paid for a building survey, many issues came to light after I moved in Widows broken and unable to open , French door issues When I called with my complaint about they survey , the survey, said all windows and doors appear to open and close Obviously they didn’t check and apparently they don’t have to , so the survey isn’t worth the paper is printed on and did they care , not a bit What a complete waste of time and money beware of building surveys read the small print... I instructed them for valuation on my home which is a help to buy, I paid for the valuation and report. I decided I wished to sell, I am disabled and chronically sick. I have not yet sold but could only complete this by saying I had and within less than a week of it being advertised sovereign tell me they have a list of prospective buyers for them to choose from. ?clear indication value is too low? The valuer started very good then Sovereign told me to query their valuation they thought it was too low and everything took a serious downturn. Delays, telephone call's and communications by valuer behind my back with sovereign, failing to recognise top quality flooring I paid to have laid and complimenting sovereign on their bit of very ordinary vinyl laid in kitchen, wc and bathroom and so on. When inspecting the valuer commented on high quality boarding I had paid to have laid in loft and other work done to high standard dismissed in review report. I found the end result was that the process was delayed by several weeks, I felt disrespected, the final report rude and dismissive of me and the work done, and communications behind my back inappropriate. I paid for what I expected to be a professional service, report and communication and due to the fault of sovereign not accepting their valuation, then neighbours here telling me that the valuer must have got it wrong I ended up with an appalling service. I wish I had paid more and gone elsewhere.... Read more

I used Monk and Partners for 2 property surveys as the first purchase fell through. I was incredibly impressed with their service, communication and courteous staff for both surveys (hence the fact I returned). They were so fast at surveying both properties and getting the detailed report back to me within days (especially so during the busy period of post-lockdown).
