Stay well clear from them. I viewed a house, put my offer and seller agreed. Atwell Martin asked me to submit a copy of my agreement in principle and my passport. They also confirmed to me in writing that my offer had been accepted by the vendor. After a couple of days, they informed me that someone else viewed the property later and offered a higher price. I was upset but increased my offer. Today they informed me that although my offer was higher, the vendor accepted the other buyers offer. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable to let other buyers view a sold STC house and then selling the house based on favoritism. They said it is absolutely within their code of practice to keep advertising property until sale is completed. A total waste of time and headache.

The staff at Atwell Martin are extremely professional and I could not have been more thrilled to be renting my new flat through them here in Plymouth. I am delighted with the support the agency provides , communication is excellent and all the staff members are always helpful and act in a very professional manner . As the property I rent is in a perfect condition I do not normally have any queries , however , as the problem occurred with the washing machine , I had to report it and the response was immediate , the contractor visit was arranged straight away , all sorted out by the agency ,including the key collection ( dealt with by Sophie Guest , Many thanks ! ) . I am very grateful especially to Trevor Smith and Sophie Guest , the managers who I usually contact , but I also appreciate very much the whole team , everybody is very polite and friendly .

Completely rubbish agents - would definitely NOT recommend using. We wanted a local agent with local knowledge of the area to represent the house. They told us that they could definitely sell the house within the 12 week contract and gave the impression of waiting buyers. They failed to mention that their local office closed within a couple of weeks of them taking on our business. One viewer in 3 months - and we’re definitely not sure that was genuine. Couldn’t wait to get out of contract. Don’t use if you can help it.
