The Boston Spa team at Monroe have been wonderful throughout our sale and purchase.
As a firm they don’t simply rely on RightMove, but instead Monroe offer a wealth of potential buyers who they take the time to match with the right property.
Communication has been excellent, with good commercial and supportive advice always available. Monroe took time to learn about our house and delivered continuity with both viewings and feedback.
Once we had agreed a sale Monroe’s sales progression coordinator ensured that all solicitors in our chain were kept in the loop and that potential delays were unblocked by exceptional communication skills.

Following an awful experience with another local estate agent, I entrusted Monroe with marketing my property in Newton Kyme. Initially, I was worried I might run into the same problems again, but it quickly became clear how exceptional they are, delivering above and beyond expectations.
From the very beginning, the marketing session was exceptionally comprehensive in comparison to what I had experienced before. Once our property was live, Sophia supported me with excellent communication and thorough attention to detail during every stage of our sale. She checked in with me every week so we could discuss what was working and what wasn’t, as well as keeping me updated on viewing feedback and new enquiries. The whole process was as smooth as possible. Even when we had to wait for our buyer to secure their own buyer, Sophia managed communication brilliantly on both sides, working tirelessly to keep things moving.
I personally found the delivery of marketing and process of sale wonderful with Monroe, as once Sophia had secured a buyer and managed the offering and acceptance stage, Danni took over and liaised wonderfully between both solicitors to ensure conveyancing was as smooth and timely as possible.

My intention was to write a review focusing on Monroe Estate Agents’ role in marketing and selling Belmont House in Leeds, which was promoted as high-quality and energy-efficient. And while Monroe are not liable for any defects with regard to the construction on Belmont House, there are legitimate questions about whether the development meets the standards advertised by Monroe Estate Agents.
However, my main concern now is how Monroe has responded to my initial review (deleted at Monroe’s request) and subsequent phone calls and email exchange. In my opinion, rather than addressing the substance of the issues I raised with them, they have threatened me with legal action for discussing them in a Google review. I find this approach concerning, and it leaves me questioning how Monroe engages with critical feedback.

Refreshing to experience an agent who took the time to understand our property when we were selling. Our own experience of viewings for our purchase was generally meeting someone who had no idea about the house we were viewing. This was not the experience with Monroe who were professional, great communicators and could not do enough to be helpful.
Our sale was part of a messy and lengthy chain. Danni deserves a special mention, who went over and above expectations in trying to keep the sale on track and to push towards completion.
I would not hesitate to recommend the whole team.

We’ve just completed on our purchase today and wanted to share how fantastic our experience with Monroe has been!
Heather, our sales negotiator, was absolutely wonderful. Yes, we know the estate agent technically works for the seller, but she never made us feel pressured or like we were about to “lose out.” Instead, she really took the time to get our offer across and made the whole process feel calm and fair.
Danni was just as incredible! When there were delays with our own solicitor and endless enquiries, Danni was straight on it, keeping things moving and (we suspect) expertly chasing the seller’s solicitor to keep things on track — always in the best possible way.
Both Heather and Danni went above and beyond, and we honestly couldn’t recommend them highly enough. If they can get our purchase over the finish line, they can handle anything ????

Monroe were the Estate Agents for the house that we were purchasing, and we also used them for the sale of our house.
The transaction itself was relatively convoluted and drawn out because our original buyer dropped out; it was difficult to find a new buyer due to the time of year; the house we were purchasing was re-listed; the new buyer for our house was lackdasical in nature; those we were buying from were waiting on a new build to be built which ended up significantly behind schedule; there were various negotiations / re-negotiations with our buyer and seller due to changing market conditions, and the discovery of asbestos in the house we were purchasing.
In summary, a difficult transaction, which at numerous different times over the 9 months it went on for had many issues and nearly totally collapsed.
Monroe dealt with it all well, and did what was needed to ultimately get the chain to completion.
It helped that they are a modest size and local Estate Agents, so they were very involved: Isabelle (Sales), Inez (After Sales) and Leanna (Owner).
In short, a job well-done in particularly challenging circumstances.

Monroe sold our house within the first two months of it going on the market. I’m not sure if this is normal but it shows just how dedicated they are to their business & especially their clients. Rowan & all the other staff I have had contact with at Monroe are just as dedicated to what they do & are an asset to Monroe. Without a good team you don’t have what it takes to be successful. Monroe definitely deserve the recognition!

Were brilliant from start to finish in helping us buy our dream house.
Went out there way to show us round and fit us in a late viewing. Were very good at pointing out all the highlights of the property we might have missed on first viewing and weren't pushy at all.
Did a great day of sorting out a day of viewing other properties at our request and created a easy to manage schedule with very friendly agents.
When came to purchase the house they were quick to respond to all messages and were a great link to the developers and helped guide us to get something that suited both parties.
Did a great job in moving in day to get us over the line linking in closely with solicitor, developers and smoothing over last minute issues.

I cannot speak highly enough of Monroe, and specifically Rowan. She was wonderful to work with. Monroe sold our family home in Boston Spa, giving us honest feedback from viewings which enabled us to make subtle changes along the way. It was an absolute pleasure working with Rowan and Monroe Estate Agents.
All the way throughout the process there was great communication via text/email and weekly update calls so everyone in the chain was aware of each other’s situation. This meant the entire process from viewing to completion took three months.
Even when we encountered an issue in the chain, Rowan and the team did not panic. Instead worked in the background to resolve said issue and came back with solutions rather than problems.
