Paul Meakin has been taking care of my little 2 bed appartement in Forestdale since I moved to another country in 2012. They have been brilliant, and I really mean that! They found good tenants, they collect rent and pass it on to me, always on time. If there are repairs to be done, they are done quickly and well by their regular tradesman, all legal necessities are sorted out by them too, if there are ever issues to be dealt with, fair solutions involving all parties are found. I have also had the same person, Allison, working with me for the last 13 years, and so we have a good relationship. If you are looking for an estate agent to look after your property, then I highly recommend Paul Meakin.

We haven’t actually sold our flat with Paul Meakin but have decided to move agents. In the 3 months our flat was on the market we heard from them once to suggest we reduce the asking price. We had no viewings and no feedback as to why people didn’t want to view so we felt completely abandoned and in the dark with no idea what we could to change the situation. We had to ask for a for sale sign to be put up outside our property and when I asked them to add an explanation to our description that we were extending our lease period it was added, almost hidden at the bottom which I guess no one got to, particularly on Rightmove, as they would’ve dismissed us once they saw the length of our unextended lease. The email I sent advising them we wanted to take our flat off the market with them was a little dismissive and left me with the distinct impression that they had no interest in selling our flat. Our intitial experience was positive but once our flat was live on the market we just don’t feel or certainly weren’t given the feeling anyone was acting in our interests.

Fantastic estate agent in every way! By far the best estate agent we have ever used. As sellers, right from the first price estimate Emma Meakin had the insight into the specific buyer we needed to sell our flat at a better price than other estate agents advised. In the end our buyer was identical to who she described we should be aiming to sell to. The team were amazing throughout, our sale took longer than expected due to issues with buyers that had nothing to do with Paul Meakin and the team were kind and patient throughout and continued to work hard to get our flat sold at the right price. We worked with Emma, Natalie, Adam, Amelia and Michelle and cannot speak highly enough of all of them. So friendly, knowledgeable and professional, they always had our complete trust. Awful experience trying to purchase a house through Paul Meakin. Poor communication and customer service. The pinnacle being when one of their staff shouted at my partner down the phone after not agreeing with our lenders valuation of the property. We constantly had to chase them and they rarely answered their phone, even when our house purchase was falling through. I wouldn’t advise them to anyone.
