I am super happy with Sears Property. Leona and Andy helped us to put our apartment on the market and they were extremely helpful through the process. It was very fast and efficient, and we found a tenant within a very short period of time. Living outside of UK, I thought letting our apartment would be a hazzle, but it was very smooth, from initial contact until all documents signed and the tenant moved in. I would recommend Sears Property 10 times out of 10.

Having previously rented through another local agent, we have found Sears to be 100% better from day one. I am also a Landlord of 3 other properties out of area, but if my properties were in Berkshire then I would most definitely choose Sears to manage them. Most recently we had our 6th monthly inspection done by Jake Tippett and found him friendly, helpful and very courteous. He carried out the inspection in a professional manner. We found it much more reassuring that the agents carried out the inspection themselves rather than employing a 3rd party.

This was a really stressful process from our side due to previous experiences with other agents but with the help of Rob and Cameron we have now find our buyer and are very excited to move house.
Everything about Sears stands out MILES above the competition (and we had also tried them all - no names mentioned) but the experience elsewhere was beyond awful.
Rob (Manager) leads a great team, he is extremely knowledgeable in regards to property and extremely friendly and helpful to work with. The industry insight / trends, reassurance, open and honest advice and help in negotiation is something we will always be extremely grateful for.

The journey started with Andrew Linfoot showing us around and out of about 15 properties and agents that we've seen in the course of a couple of months, he has been the most knowledgeable and calm agent, not pushy at all.
Some people get nervous after they agree a contract, because that's where the 'fun' starts. I'm very happy to say that Amy Depledge has been literally the fastest person to answer any email we've sent and it was always with the best attitude you could ask for. Always wearing a smile and trying to help, she has been looking after us for about two months now and it has been simply great, going above and beyond. Couldn't be happier than this. I sold my flat with Sears recently.
The sales team (Charles) were quick to come over for a valuation, they were friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The valuation was reasonable and our expectations were managed well. We did have to reduce the price, which was disappointing.
The viewings seemed to go well and the leads were good as I got a few offers. I was a bit disappointed as I was called and asked the same questions a few times. For example, following a viewing I was asked what my ground rent was (this was provided multiple times verbally and in writing, and presumably on my file. I don't like the thought of the buyer asking and the estate agent saying 'I don't know' when they did have the information).
Another small niggle - all comms was addressed to my boyfriend, who was a tenant in my flat. I felt it was a bit of subliminal sexism as I told the male estate agents multiple times it was my flat. They even issued the memorandum of sale in his name which had to be corrected for legal purposes. A bit more attention to detail necessary possibly!
The sales progression team were excellent. Jonathan Breen kept me up to date regularly and was a really good advocate for me and my buyer in chasing solicitors for information often. The calls were friendly and informative.

They will not email you a response and when you contact them over the phone they will tell you bundle of lies to later go back on their words because there is no proof of that call record.

Very poor communication received from Sears Property, in particular John and Jonathan who we dealt with. We had our offer accepted at the end of January on a property to purchase. There were a few early unexpected complications from the seller which required time to resolve, which we were understanding with. But as time went, we were given no updates, completely kept in the dark for weeks. We had to call Sears on various occasions as they would never reply to emails. When they answered, we would be brushed off every time, so we decided to finally withdraw our offer mid-May as this purchase was not going anywhere. All the sudden, we quickly received a phone call and email with an update that the seller has solved all their issues and things were moving forward. Coincidence or lies I’m not sure, but I'm very disappointed in these agents’ communication skills and I hope the seller goes elsewhere!

My partner and I are searching for a property to rent in the surrounding area, and have had by far the worst experience with sears and the representative Michael.
There are several agencies we have spoken with and they were mostly all polite and not pushy.
Unfortunately Michael wasn't very helpful when we were trying to arrange a time that wasn't convenient for himself and was very pushy after saying that it would be rented already if we viewed at the time good us.
When the time came around for us to view, he was very impolite and unwelcoming, didn't bother to show us round the place, made sarcastic comments and just said bye as we let ourselves out.
Extremely unprofessional, I would never want to deal with him again.

Firstly if I could give a half star I would.
The only thing I thankful to Sears for is I found the house I wanted to purchase.
The service received from Sears was beyond appalling!
Josh M (now left the company) was very helpful when he was around as he helped with organising viewings.
Frances (also now left) was OK until it all went down the drain.
Sears put a house on the market with people who were not ready to sell. Therefore the chain fell through, instead of completing by September 30th (had always been the target date from day 1 end of May 2021) completion happened in December!
This has cost the seller and myself in excess of £4k each in additional costs.
Sears at no point offered any apology or explanation. I spoke to the branch manager Robert....then he palmed me over to Jonathan who was meant to be there with updates on purchase progression.
To illustrate the lack of communication - contracts where exchanged, we completed and not a single word from Jonathan. Not an email, not a phone call just radio silence.
I sent 3 separate emails of complaint and asking questions in September its December now they have gone unanswered.
The lack of professionalism and lies uttered is beyond any that I have seen in an establishment.
Another example, I chased Jonathan for an update and he told me the seller's solicitors where waiting for my solicitors to send something. I called and forwarded them this email to which they said no information was outstanding there was a signature on the seller's side that was pending to progress this purchase. Why Jonathan could not state this only he knows.
I live in hope Sears did not charge the full commission for this purchase as the seller and I more or less managed our own transaction however, from what I have experienced morals and honesty are not top of the list for this estate agent.

I'm a landlord and mostly engage with Amanda who manages the flat I let. I have being with Sears for 8 years now and find them efficient, professional and easy to engage with. They provide solutions to problems which is always useful especially if you don't live in the area of the property. I prefer them to manage the tenancy as it means the tenant gets a good service as they respond very quickly. During the 8 years, they have also managed to let the property with limited downtime which is great. The sales team are very pro-active, they work hard by making sure the tenant and property match. I have a very positive relationship with the company and would recommend them.

Purchased house in Bracknell knowing that will have drop kerb done and driveway build, as they assured me in that when viewed the house, and have put that information in description on Zoopla. Realised that this is impossible only when moved in and had application declined by council as there is insufficient space in front of the house. Very disappointed, I never would have bought this house without driveway or garage. Be careful and check everything that’s in description.

As an international landlord from Bracknell originally, Sears have been absolutely excellent for me. Their service provided in fully managing my property is second to none. They've answered any questions I've had and always been at the end of the phone when needed (Timezone permitting).
Deserve this five star review as Amanda has just renewed the tenants lease for another year and I know not just my house but that the tenants are in good hands with Sears as their local contact.

The initial stages of the house purchase were excellent. Always kept us informed and sent properties that met our criteria.
While at the purchase phase, the client management was poor and communication had to be made directly between us and the seller to manage expectations.

Both of these people are exceptional in that they provide an exceptional service. And Virginia is worth her weight in gold in that she handles the sale progression side of things admirably. Professional from the start, all members of the team (particularly our main contacts of Robert & Virginia) always did what they said they would, when they said they would and without error or issue. This was particularly important following the agreement of sale and purchase, which is when the stress can really being. It is not often you are on the lookout for a home purchase and when you start your search it isn’t the easiest of tasks particularly as its one of the most important purchase decisions of your life and not an easy one at that.
We started our search recently and although have grown fond of Bracknell recently we didn’t know where to start. Our start to property hunting wasn’t great at all as we were let down by another estate agent who didn’t have the right attention of detail. They initially provided us the postcode but not the house number, forgetting to provide the number to call if we got stuck and to make things worse their call centre didn’t actually provide real time help as they didn’t have direct contact with the agent or home owner who would show us the property.
We stumbled upon Sears property by mere coincidence and that in itself was much needed breath of fresh air. We have been in contact with Bradley who has been managing our property searches and respective viewings. I liked the fact that Bradley was confident enough to offer setting up multiple viewings in the local area on a Saturday balancing our requirements as well adding in a few surprises. He is a confident and polite agent without a pushy demeanour striking the right balance between sellers and buyers requirements while being in the business of property sales.
On the day itself Paul who is another sears team member promptly called 30 mins earlier to confirm our availability and that he would meet us at the premises. We were met by a pleasant family man who was equally as enthusiastic as us on the viewings planned for the day. His depth of knowledge about the local area was most insightful as he had raised his family and had moved three times in the local area. We found that all the viewings had been timed well and all the properties had something to offer in line with our requirements.
I had a good catch-up with Bradley over the following week and suggested he continue with some more viewings as we felt he had a handle on the right approach.
If you are looking for property in Bracknell and are new to the area then I would recommend you give Sears property a call as they will strike the right balance in helping you source the best property for you and your budget.

The sales team were always punctual with their clients and gave feedback after each viewing. More importantly, they were very respectful of our home and our needs. We had a pet that was recovering from surgery and needed to be kept indoors. They managed this perfectly. Our pet has made a full recovery!
Their fees are slightly more than other estate agents, however with a number of options to mitigate this. Overall worth every penny.
Sears is clearly invested in the local community and finding the right fit for sellers and buyers alike. Yes, this is a business after all - one that I would recommend and return to in a flash.

My experience with all the staff at Sears in Bracknell has been a stress free, enjoyable one and we would highly recommend using.
I spoke with multiple estate stage agents, however for me sears stood out right from the start. I looked for a company with a pro-active approach and a willingness to maintain momentum by continually encouraging viewings. A likable bunch, I cannot recall a single example of bad or non-existent communication.
My dealings with both Oliver’s and Tom throughout the sales process has been fantastic and Virginia during second stage was always at the end of the telephone and took ownership to help. She touched base with me consistently throughout the process to ensure I was updated and returned calls promptly, so the whole team certainly deserves a mention.

I have used Sears Bracknell office for over three years to find then check the suitability of prospective tenants for my investment property. The services I use are collection of the first month’s rent, the security deposit and the check Out Fee together with the production of the Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement. I have recently completed on a house sale with Sears for the second time. Rob came out to the house for the initial meeting, he's very knowledgeable and professional and give you confidence in the work they do. Once our house was on the market, the team were in regular contact arranging viewings and providing feedback, I could always reach them if needed. We had an issue during the later stages which was rectified satisfactorily which is often the mark of a good company. The stand out service was post sale from Virginia. We had a small chain but a tight deadline, her support and guidance through that time was invaluable and I'm very grateful for all of her help. One day, should we move again, Sears would be my first port of call.

I dealt with Virginia during my recent first home purchase. Virginia was both helpful and available when I needed to talk with her regarding the sale.
I was impressed with the speed of response to emails and friendly manner which I was presented with and amd glad to have had Virginia as my point of contact.
Overall I was thoroughly impressed with my experience using Sears Property. Being a small family-run business, I feel I received much better service than if the purchase had been through a large estate agents.

We've only been with Sears Property for a couple of months and they are fast becoming our favorite clients. As contractors, we are at the bottom of the property maintenance food chain, but dealing with Liz Way and Wendy Howlett on a daily basis is an absolute pleasure. If they are this friendly, helpful and professional to us contractors, imagine how well they treat their paying clients. Dishonest and unprofessional
Tried to rent a flat through Sears dealing with David Ramon...what a joke...argumentative and unhelpful,pushy and not always truthful...will also be contacting the ombudsmen to report them..told me they were award winning for this year as well as last...funny both awards say 2016..
Time wasters!!! Now I'm not interested in renting from them they can't even reply to my emails about my legal documents.
Had to give them one star or it wouldn't let me post this review!!!!

I've rented through Sears for over 3 years and have found them to be an extremely friendly and generally efficient group of guys and gals (the few less-helpful members of staff appear to have been ushered on now!). There is still a few occurrences where you don't receive a return call after leaving a message, but that's likely due to how busy they are.
I do find the prices for many of the charges to be a little expensive for what they are, but it's probably similar to competing agencies.
I would highlight Kelly and Nick as being particularly excellent in their dealings with me.

I have to say Kelly provided a very professional service, keeping me informed and clearly explained the options to me along the way. I have dealt with many estate agents and I have to say this is my first very positive experience that is worth mentioning.
Sears is honest, do what they say and provides a top class John Lewis service. I will not hesitate to use them again.

I switched to use Sears Property for a couple of years. They provides very good service all round -- from finding reliable tenants to tenant leaving. They work very hard to provide good communications and update us regularly. They find tenants quickly who pay reasonable rent. They check tenants background and credit rate. They draft contracts with all details. Everything has been done professionally. Their fees are reasonable in respect of how hard they work.

Although the sales process was initially quite slow due to market conditions the property sold within the exclusivity period for a good price and the rate offered was favourable. Throughout the process representatives of Sears kept me informed as to the status of viewings and any feedback given. Once a buyer had been located Virginia at Sears made regular phone calls and sent emails to keep me informed as to the progress of the sales process and was invaluable as a liason between the buyer and myself. Now the sale is close to completion and contracts have been exchanged I can relax slightly, safe in the knowledge that the property is sold and all other details have been attended to. Sears' representatives knowledge of the local housing market and their advice have enabled the process of selling the property to be as straight forward as could be expected. I have had a very positive experience of using Sears Estate Agents and would recommend them.

I called Sears Estate Agent for a house that has HMO potential in Bracknell area. I clearly informed the agent that my budget is £300k to £310K. The house was sold previously but buyer couldn't obtain HMO as the house need 2 bathrooms and size of rooms are too small to comply to the HMO so I leaned later on.
Sears not just wasted my time ( forgot my appointment to view) , but mislead to believe that the house is HMO while clearly is not when i start investigation through the council , mislead me to also believe the vendor would accept my budget etc
I think Sears are very dishonest, uses potential buyer to secure deals for others!. set people up. I think they want just anyone to get through the door so they show vendors that they are actively searching for buyers, they believe its quantities rather than quality and comparability etc, they Never listen to your needs and requirements.
Their valuation of properties are 10-15% more than market value.
I would stay away from Sears estate agents.
