David helped smooth out our path when we were facing some difficulty with our buyer and ensured that our seller was kept up to date and all in good time.
Even if David wasn’t available Sam was always on hand to help out with viewings which helped us greatly.

They made a potentially stressful time smooth and easy as could be. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a personable, professional estate agent in this area. If only we could have bought our house from them too… that would have made moving house an even better experience!

Myself and my family found Shepherds Estate Agents in Hertford absolutely amazing. Very professional and knowledgeable and so very helpful, especially when unforeseen problems arose, not only with the sale/purchase we were in the process of but also during unforeseen health problems within the family. They were so understanding and went way above and beyond to help in every way they could to ensure everything went as smoothly as possible. They kept us up to date with everything, even to the point of David Simpson sending us emails on his day off. From first assessment to completion, the team at Shepherds were super helpful, knowledgeable, responsive and accommodating, in particular our agent Sam Timms, who was unfailingly tactful and cheerful throughout. From connecting us with first-rate contractors to staging and showing the house, to many little 'extras' like taking meter readings after we'd moved out, and with consistently solid advice along the way, we felt that Shepherds were there for us whatever we needed. Our house is now sold, and we couldn't be happier with the service. Very highly recommended!

Recently bought through Shepherds...first class service from start to finish particularly from David. Communication was excellent and David helped us navigate what materialised as a somewhat tricky purchase in respect to renegotiation and so forth. Despite predominantly representing the vendor, David did his upmost to represent our views/position and get the purchase through.

Have used Shepherds several times and would highly recommended. Some issue with ground rent charges on my leasehold sale added some complications and delays to the sale process but Sam was very helpful in keeping the buyers on board and informed with progress and helped to ensure a suitable way forward for all ultimately leading to a successful completion.
