We hadn't owned a property before nor dealt with any estate agents etc... Shonki Bros have always been very honest, open and informative. They supported us through the beginning and the end of our tenancy and help with any issues we came across. Bro I was in the process of taking a shop which is owned by this company via a leaseholder and just realised that this company are the most selfish people I have ever met. They have increased the rent for that shop by 25 percent more and continue to do so for the next 5 years for the leaseholder. And the sad think was they said we don't care the tenent will have to pay the rent for the next 5 years for his lease period. And the shops next to this shop go for less than half the rent. Keep away from such people they need to understand what is theft of people's money. I hope trading standards read this review. Shonki you need you sink soon. This is not made up story this is a real. Shop toblet on London road I hope the lease holder gets help from someone to stop this day light robbery. Google should have a zero rating in place now for such companies.

Recently purchased a property which turned out to be trickier than expected. I would unreservedly recommend Shonki Bros.
Early 2023, I sold three distressed houses with them at auction, in a turbulent market, whilst living 200 miles away, achieving 10% above the price quoted to me by a different agent.
Shonki Bros managing the whole process beginning to end, liaising with tenants, councils, buyers and solicitors, whilst keeping cost low at all times. They went far beyond any expectations I had, always responsive and nothing was ever too much.

I turned up to a viewing on time, and the agent was nowhere to be seen. I called the office and the very rude man told me it was only 2 minutes past the allotted meeting time they gave me, though my watch was showing it had been 5 mins. Anyways eventually the agent made her way downstairs not once did she lift her head from her phone. Only words she said through out the viewing was "show yourself round" as she was fixated on her phone.
Quite frankly dodged a bullet.

I have yesterday booked a viewing for one of their properties and later same day I have got a phone call where I have been told that the viewing is canceled for today, and they booked a new viewing for today. Today we went there for viewing but nobody from the estate agent showed up. I gave them a call and I have been told that their office is closed because of lockdown and somehow they had problems with informing me.
Honestly really bad service and experience from these guys.

A breath of fresh air. This family run company surpasses all my expectations with estate agents....who are generally dreadful in my 30 year experience. Shonki bro are so professional and consistent. All the staff are trained impeccably, their ability to manage our property effectively and leaving us without any headaches has meant we have used them for the late 5 years. Their ability to find v good trouble free tenants is refreshing.They have a very competitive repairs department and this assures me that I am not being ripped off. I would use and recommend without any doubt.

Do not deal with this company there highly rude esp the owner I've bein in my property for well over a year with children and there never made repairs or anything they took my daughters child benefit out my bank and refused to give it back absolutely vile company!!

Blatant law breakers, trying to charge tenants rent on properties that have been deemed 'uninhabitable through flood / fire / outside causes. A direct abuse of the housing and landlords act.
Have already advised. Friends who have been affected in this way to seek immediate legal action as Shonki Bros are going to either profit from their misfortune or leave a family and young child on the streets.
Total disgrace!!!!

Very disappointed with the service from this company. I have made three telephone requests about viewing a property on Wilmington road over the space of 4 weeks. On each occasion they said they would ring me back and have failed to do so on all three occasions. I still have not viewed the house and it is still for sale.

I have recently sold my property via auction with Shonki Bros. The guidance throughout the whole process was very helpful and enabled me to understand how the auction process worked. I was re-assured throughout the whole process as i was sceptical about the success of selling my property via this method. If you have a property you are struggling to sell then Shonki Bros auctions is the way forward.

I had a portfolio of property in Leicester and was let down by a few agents as the service was very poor. However i approached Shonki Bros. in March 2005 and ever since then i haven't had to worry about any of my properties. The service is very good and communication with me has been very pleasing. My properties have rarely been empty for more than 3 weeks.
