I concur with the other 1 star rated reviewer. Attempted to purchase via this company. We found some staff to be arrogant and condescending . I believe they were deliberately misleading and economical with truth. I also question the conflict of interest issue as they sell homes for sellers they have a connection with. Less than transparent and not very professional. My feelings in summary are that you dont believe a word they say, and preferably use another agent... Read more

I have recently had the misfortune of dealing with the Tarleton branch of Smartmove when I bought a property. A few of the staff members I met were very helful and friendly, however, this was let down by the manager Caroline, who I found rude, pushy, obstructive, dishonest and unproffessional. The house I was buying had a boiler which was unsafe. When I asked for it to be serviced I was told that I would have to arrange the service and that the gas engineer would have to attend the estate agent office to collect the keys and then drop them back off after. I was also told by Charlotte that the gas fire was only 1 year old but 2 weeks before completion I found that this too was unsafe and much older than 1 year. Caroline could not have been less helpful and when I questioned her about anything she blamed her behaviour on the people who were selling the house. The most worrying thing is that had I have been a young family or an elderley person I could have been moving into a house in which the boiler was leaking Carbon Monoxide. I would advise anyone thinking of going into business with Smartmove to be extremeley wary and check EVERYTHING they tell you is the truth and not something they have lied about for a quick sale and to line their pockets!!... Property listings are matched to data from the Land Registry by our clever algorithm. Clever as it may be, it isn't always right, especially if a property was listed by multiple agents. The asking price is the original listing price, NOT the final listing price.
