Squarefoot have been fantastic estate agents. They have always dealt with issues promptly and keep in very good contact. We have just left the property and they have been very understanding of the fact that the flat did attain marks and scuffs due to wear and tear, and took this into account when it came to returning our deposit. It’s been 5 years now since I have had the pleasure of renting out an apartment with square foot and would like to call out the excellent service and how accommodative the agency has been. I have zero complaints and only positives to call out - any issues have been addressed imminently and quick responses. Overall their service was good throughout my 2 year tenancy, however on occasion there were some emails which didn't have the best tone. I'm also a bit disappointed that upon leaving the flat I had a year of scaffolding on, they've charged us £220 for cleaning through a third party. Wiping down water marks on shower screens do not cost £20. I won't be using agencies going forward as it appears they accept anything a cleaning company tries to fob the customer off with. A shame really as up until then the ladies at the estate agents had been relatively helpful.... Read more

We rented a property for 3 years from Squarefoot until 2015. Generally they left us to our own devices (FYI landlords: if they are billing you for regular inspections you are being ripped off, because they barely ever happened when we were tenants in a managed property). However, when problems did arise they turned into the kind of agent who has no issues with gaslighting tenants. The biggest issue we had with them was at the end, when they allowed the landlord to try and move someone in a day early (we were shifting our final bits and in the middle of deep cleaning when new tenants turned up with furniture). We complained about this to the agent and pointed out it was still our tenancy, where upon they told my wife and I that they knew it wasn't right, but they didn't care and this was how it was (even though they knew it was against the contract). Obviously this made an already stressful day even more so, and it still rankles several years later!... Read more
