As a landlord I would say you should avoid dealing with Taylor Jackson. They were dire at best. Totally incompetent as letting agents. Problems we had: The tenants rent was agreed but he never paid the full amount. They falsified a Tenancy agreement, we only found this out when we sold the property. They did not inspect the property. They held onto money the tenant did pay, we only found out by accident that the Tenant had paid, I am fairly sure had we not found out they would never have paid and their accounting system is dreadful. They had work carried out for us and we did not get any invoices just a charge. The tenant owed 18 months rent in the end so we sold the property. Good riddance Taylor Jackson!... Read more

Lazy & unprofessional. Highly suggest you do not take your chances with them... All seemed good initially, the place was freshly refurbished and we had a set move-in date. Only, they gave us the shortest notice that the place was still not ready and told us to wait a day. And they kept pushing back the date several times. I was essentially homeless for about 2 weeks, crashing at my friend's house while waiting for them to give me an update on when I can move in... What an embarrassing position they put me in. Finally, we move, only the place still was not finished! Never told us how anything worked, so we were freezing while figuring out how to use the boiler. They took forever setting up the internet we paid for, they never sorted the electricity and gas metres, so I had to just fill it up and ask them for the money back. Phoning them was a joke, they sounded like they did not want to be there. They often forget who we were, or what property we rented. They gave us the absolute bare minimum effort & information and called it a day. They even had the audacity to just invite workers into our place sometimes, without our knowledge! The work in the house was never finished and all year, we had to deal with the mess & debris that was left behind. Then they took a substantial sum of our deposit, even though it was not us who caused that mess. I could go on, but this review is long enough. They are a headache and I am thankful I am no longer renting from them!... Read more

Found a house just in time thanks to Taylor Jackson ! The house was very lovely, refurbished and has a pretty good location ! The rent is sensible considering all that and truly affordable, even as a student. The people at the office were always friendly and helped when required. However, in terms of communication they were pretty bad, as I'd never get a reply to my emails and had to call or go there instead. They also never informed us when they would come to the house, so you'd just get home and notice that someone had been in there, which is quite bad. When it came to the end of my tenancy and I had to get my deposit back, the landlord wanted to keep it for no actual reason. Never having met him or been in contact with him at all, I was hoping to solve the issue with help by the agency but none was given, I didn't even get contact details as asked for multiple times, so it was a real struggle to get my money back.... Don't be fooled by the sign under new management. They were absolutely useless and unprofessional. We had to use legal means to pursue our rent. They never returned our calls when needed. Salford Council knew it. This company is on the watch list. Tenants also complained to us about their incompetence. Glad we left this firm. Wouldn't let them touch our property ever even it is free. Our student house was with Taylor Jackson for over a year and from day one they were the most unorganised and unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. When we first moved in the house smelt of fish, there was no door on the bathroom and there was evidence of drug use in the house. Over time, we were forced to go 6 weeks without an oven, as it was marked unsafe and they didn't send us out a new one, we had no hot water and were often contacted to say that we owed money that we had already paid. When we visited the office they were rude and unorganised, with packets of cigarettes on their desks and messy surroundings. They didn't keep any of our documents so had no idea how much rent we were due to pay, and when our land lord finally took us away from them we have been bombarded with emails asking us to sign agreements to cover their backs as they had nothing on paper. The most unorganised and unprofessional estate agents I've ever dealt with. From the start our contract was done wrong and our monthly payments were incorrect. By the end of the tenancy we had been through 3 contracts due to their mistakes. We agreed to pay trimesterly when our student loans came in but they would constantly ring monthly and ask why we hadn't paid our rent. When ringing up with an issue we would be passed around to every member of staff working there and told to go back to the store or ring up on numerous different days to be passed around again. They allow £25 wifi bill which comes out of our account and they refund, a refund which took months to come. Also, they allowed themselves into our house without the 24 hours notice we were told we would be given to go through to the garden and cut our trees, telling us the house needed cleaning or we wouldn't receive our deposit back (despite it being left in dirty conditions when we moved in) and asking were we living there because they noticed one of the rooms was empty. Would not recommend if you're looking for an estate agents with no complications because that is all we seemed to receive in our year with the company.... Read more

First they increased the original deposit and after we'd haggled down that price which was over £100 more than agreed upon, they refused to sell us the property. They will give themselves excellent reviews. But beware!!! It is a family. So when you hear new management, do not be deceived. Tigers in sheep clothings If you are renting, start thinking now! If you want to rent, then take time to read all reviews Worst Estate Agent in the whole U.K. They deserve a minus 5 star. 1. Very low quality of maintenance that whenever they decide to do repair 2. They have loads of incompetent workmen 3. Workmen are irresponsible and dirty. You will have to clean after them. Some will use your toilet without flushing or whipping it clean the way they met it. 4. They walk into your house as if you are a staying for free. No respect! 5. They will claim your deposit or part of it. Trust me! They know all the pros and cons. They will delay the money until you give it up. Trust me. 6. The manager is a cowboy estate manager. Do not trust him. The first sign will be that he never have time for you. He only take emergency calls on quote. 7. No matter how many times you call them, they do not know who you are even when you are renting. They have no call logs. 8. This people appears to be a family. Choosing to rent a place you call home from this people is an attempt to destroy your credit rating. Trust me. 9. Takes too long to carry out repairs. And repair works are mostly repeated because of bad workmanship. And you have to make the time and clean after them. Just do not do business with them. Nothing personal.... Read more

I am absolutely disgusted with this company...my mother who is 78 and father who is 80 have lived in there house for 47 years...This company has rented out the house next door to absolute idiots that keep my mum and dad awake all night with there screaming, singing and shouting, banging doors..my mum is close to breaking point and can't even sleep in her own bed upstairs as she can't get any piece so ends up sleeping downstairs this has happened with every tenant this company has put in there and when my mum complains nothing gets done...This company is a joke... Me and my partner were homeless staying with friends & family. We found out we was expecting a baby and decided we had to go private as it was the quickest way to get a house. Well what a mistake that was!! We moved in the property in October 15. Paid £1500 to move in. Alan was nice when we was signing the contact promised us the world and more that was just so he could get our money! Since October they as been soo many problems regards repairs being done & damp and mould around the home we was phoning them day in day out and nothing got done with my partner being pregnant the doctor referred her to the environmental Heath. Who inspected the property and gave a list of jobs to be completed. They had 2 weeks to start the work and 1 month to finish the jobs this didn't happen. When my partner was 7&half months pregnant Alan came to the property and handed an eviction notice to her in front of 3 work men. This was due to rent arrears when they new we was waiting for a mistake bye housing benefits to be sorted. Now that they have had the money off housing benefits I've have requested 4 time now for a rent referance still havnt recieved this. They lie to the environmental Heath and think they can speak down to everyone. Well not everyone will stand for it. Alan tells lies about being alergic to pets one min he can't come in the property the next he can. My partner has just over 2 weeks to give birth and the work in the property still isn't finished & there is no improvement to the mould either. The communication between them & tenants is a joke they mite be able to get away with treating student like this but not us ( no offence to students) So what ever you do DONOT rent a property from this company Alan doesn't have a clue what he's doing & the work ment are just people they get of Facebook. Some not even Corgy regesterd. My property should have a e.p.c certificate just like any other in the we lived here 6 months and it don't have one. The plumber has a 16 year old working with him why I don't no coz the plumber himself doesn't have a clue what to do when he gets given jobs and comes in to our property shouting at my pregnant gf and speaking down to her. It's an absolute joke of a company. They try to say they live with mould and damp in there properties ????????yeah right!! DO NOT HAND 1p OVER TO THIS COMPANY.... Read more

If I could give this estate agents -10000, I would. They completely ruined mine and my house mates experience for our second year. I absolutely insist that NO ONE goes with Taylor Jackson. We had complete trust in Alan who works at the agency and he put us, vulnerable students, into a house which was inhabitable. The nightmare began when the boiler kept breaking (this had also happened numerous times before we moved in and they had failed to replace it). This then cause a leak in the basement and mould began to grow and grow on the walls of my bedroom and the kitchen. I was sick almost everyday once we moved in and we soon realised that the walls had been painted to cover the mould before the move in date. When we did realise the basement was leaking, a lot of the ceiling in there had fallen down and it was flooded, the electric and water had gone off. We had notified them several times about the leaking and we got told to scrub it off with bleach. An electrician came round and told us that we had to move out straight away as the place was extremely dangerous and inhabitable. They managed to put us in a hotel for a few days and it was a nightmare. We had no clothes and no food and no money. Eventually they found us a place to live and we were relieved. However the nightmare got worse as we moved our stuff into our new place, the place was left a mess and unclean from the previous students who were there. Taylor Jackson's said they would clean the place during the first week we were there, so we trusted them to do that since we were thankful that we had been moved into a place after the stress we previously had to endure. A few hours after we had arrived we found that there were thousands of bed bugs in each room and we were absolutely petrified, we spent the whole night sat in the front room waiting to inform the estate agents in the morning, we tried to get accommodation during the night but no one would take us because of the circumstances. In the morning we told Alan, who didn't seem to care about the situation, that we weren't going to live in the house and that it was infested with bed bugs. We were forced to move back home and commute to university, just before our exam period, this is an absolute disagrace since one of us lived in London and all of us didn't have enough money to be getting trains everyday. After all of this we NEVER RECIEVED OUR DEPOSIT BACK which we so rightly deserved. The reason being that we didn't clean the property to the correct standard. Bearing in mind we had NO electricity and NO water. I have nightmares about these experiences 6 months on and I urge anyone who is thinking about renting accommodation from this absolutely disgraceful, money grabbing, unthoughtful company, I encourage you to think again. I would burn this place down if I could get away with it.... Read more

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT rent from Taylor Jackson. A horrible experience for both me and some friends of mine in a different house, and equally a massive waste of money and energy. We dealt with a man called Alan, who initially promised us lots of lovely perks to renting with Taylor Jackson, and promised he would be with us every step of the way. Soon after paying him the £75 agency fees, we realized these were all lies. He stopped contact immediately and didn't help us at all. After much hassle we got in contact with our landlord, this was one of the best things we have ever done as he made our lives a lot less stressful from there on out. He has equal loathing for Alan and Taylor Jackson and has now moved all his properties to a different agency. That, however, is nothing compared to the trauma some friends of ours had to endure. After having gone through the same problems we experienced at first, they thought it would be alright. A roof over theirs heads is better than nothing, even if the House was significantly sub-par. Soon though, the cracks started to show. The house completely flooded leaving all electricals and appliances unusable. An electrician was called in the fix the damage (something the letting agent should have done, not them). His verdict: The house was inhabitable in the first place and shouldn't have been put up to rent. They had to leave immediately. After many angry calls with Taylor Jackson, they finally agreed to put them up in a premier inn, but only for ONE night. When they finally where found another house to live in, they realised that was equally as unhabitable as soon as they entered. Infested with millions of bed bugs absolutely everywhere. After trying lots of different conventional methods to try and eradicate them, they finally gave in and decided it was impossible. They spent the night, wide awake on the cold kitchen floor. The next day after finding Taylor Jackson untraceable, they decided it would be better to commute in to uni for the rest of the year than to have to deal with Alan or Taylor Jackson ever again. Luckily they all lived near enough to commute, or found somewhere else to stay, however that should not have had to be the case. Taylor Jackson was an awful experience for everyone involved. They cause a lot of stress and we lost a lot of money. I would recommend finding a different letting agency to anyone and everyone!... Read more

If I could leave no stars, I would, my experience with Taylor Jackson and it's manager Allan Healey was abysmal. I Would advise anyone looking in the Salford area to avoid this agency at all cost. They are total cowboys. The manager Allan Healey, is a vile man. We lived a combined total of 6 month in one of his properties With no oven, and no shower. Every time we rang him, he asked for my name, and which address I was at. They were worse at the office, where un-organised, is an understatement. When we moved into the house, it had previously been a house of multiple occupancy, it was a wreck, a jar of fish heads in the fridge, and a used sanitary towel in one of the bedrooms was just two of the things left for us to clean. General dirt and grime on the walls floors and ceilings were through-out the property. This was after the promised visit from his cleaning crew, who basically wiped down the toilet and bathroom. They left after 20 minutes. He constantly ignored emails and phone calls from us. As did their office. Several excuses were made, often they were repeated as he obviously had forgotten what he had told us previously. One was he had a a stomach bug, one week he was apparently hospitalised, the other he was on holiday. for about a month their phone lines were down according to him. Their broadband had been cut. On email literally just said "Life's moving too fast, i'll get back to you soon" We went to the Citizens Advice Bureau, in desperate need for help, we showed them all the emails we had, the contract, and our situation. We were young students, so didn't know any better when signing the contract. We (mistakenly) had complete and utter trust in Allan. The verbal agreement was that bills would be included in the £80 a week price. When in fact we were paying £85 a week, and nowhere in the contract did it say the bills were included, so at any time, Allan could start to charge us for the bills aswell. After all this, we were so relieved to be leaving, we did not renew the year contract, and before we left we clean the whole house entirely, top to bottom, to give him no cause to keep our deposit. After weeks of him avoiding our calls, and emails, we finally got an email, saying we would recieve £0 of our £1500 deposit. He is an awful, disgusting man. And I don't want anyone else to fall victim to these con artists. This man, appears to be friendly and he is excellent and talking about nothing. He is a liar and a theif, and I urge people not to trust him or his firm. All this is genuinely the tip of the iceberg, but I can only fit so much into an online review. Avoid Taylor Jackson, and avoid Allan Healey. You will be far better off with any body else, i promiss you.... Read more
