Perhaps the most incompetent Lettings Agent you will ever encounter. Their inability to perform simple tasks was staggering. At every point we had to remind them or ask them to action items, yet we were paying for a property to be fully managed. Avoid using Thomas Child's letting at all costs. There are much better, more helpful and professional people out there. We have moved to a local firm who are a breath of fresh air. Things are done quickly, proactively and efficiently. The best estate agents that I have dealt with hands down! Following the stamp duty relief in the summer, I experienced a string of disappointments from various agents. Often it was clear that they would pit other customers against me or flat out lie about competing offers, house prices and the view of the vendors. It was a great change to have a company that I felt I could actually trust. They were honest from the start to the end of the process and not once did I feel that they were interested in their commission only, it’s quite clear their focus is providing and excellent service. I honestly can not fault Thomas Childs in anyway. From the start I was dealing with Danny King who was massively responsive, always at the end of the phone call for my many of questions. He was honest and genuine and made me feel comfortable. he was easy to talk to and nothing was to much. Even if I HAD 6+ questions in the same day. He understood what I wanted and helped me to achieve that. Even his attention to detail sending me his goodwill making sure everything ran smoothly after I had moved. Unfortunately he was busy on the day of my contract sign so I dealt with Xena who again was nothing but professional and lovely. she took some time with me and ran through everything I needed to know in perfect detail and couldn't have been more polite and pleasant to talk to. She had helped with my transition and was lovely to work with. since my move I have been in regular contact with Justin who again has been equally amazing. if you need to find a place to live and want to find a group of people who care more about making everyone happy to the best of their ability instead of how much money they can take off an individual then honestly Thomas Childs is the absolute please to look. With a selection of amazing homes on the books, to a group of staff who want nothing more then for each client to smile.
