Tyne at Lanes has been brilliant from the start. Really knowledgeable and helpful on the two viewings I had, really lovely and personable and great to deal with. Very happy with Tyne throughout the process, including post offer acceptance. If I decide down the line to sell a property, I will keep Tyne in mind! I recently moved 400 miles to west Cornwall and it was possibly the most stressful thing I've done. Being able to leave the sale of my house to Lanes while I moved definitely relived some of that stress. Kev and his team were great, professional, knowledgeable and reassuring throughout the whole process which had a few holdups along the way. I had a really awful experience buying a property through Lanes estate agents in Hertford. Their staff are not trained properly, their way of working is by harassing and bullying the client. I purchased a property in Hertford in December and by January, I was being emailed every week asking to exchange by the end of the month. In the UK, the standard timeline between viewing a property and putting an offer in to completion is 3 months, sometimes it can be longer depending on the chain. The family I was buying from were hoping to purchase a new build that Lanes were managing, so I was pressurized constantly and threatened repeatedly by their staff that if I didn't complete by a certain date, they'd relist their property. I'd like to reiterate there was no break down of the chain on my side, my buyer of my property just had a slight delay in receiving her funds, but it was all under control.
In March, when my solicitor had repeatedly informed Lanes that we would not be holding anything up with the sale, Lanes decided to inform the vendor that my side of the chain had fallen through and it resulted in the vendor relisting the property I wanted to buy.
After complaining on the phone to Lanes, I was dealt with so poorly, this agent has no clue about customer service and I would highly avoid selling or purchasing through them!
I will never go near them again.... Read more

BUYERS LEA WHALF development beware!! - do not in anyway buy via this Estate Agent on a new build property; please it really is not worth it regardless of the condition / location of the property. They quickly get you to exchange to hold your money and then they pull the contract from under you - when you had items of information being presented in 2x weeks. Their main goal is to get people to hold properties to take the funds / sales. Company check the developer for cash status. The value of their holding deposit is to the sum of a top property in central London which is totally dis-propionate to this site which in itself is a RED FLAG, as their concern is to get sales for the developer. As they have no concern for your position or any regard for willingness to negotiate any terms to protect your exchange. If you go with this Company you could be suffering for many years to come as all they do is take your money.... Read more
